Hi to all at droid .uk
A few weeks ago I made a faux pas in giving a less than favourable review on Google.
Since then I eventually procured a 8.8 inch stand alone android 14 head unit from Droid .UK, a great product and brilliant after sales.
Was having a little trouble syncing the unit ( im 70 year young ) fitted the unit myself worked perfect but for the sound and connecting via blue tooth.
I contacted Droid and met jav, a most affable and professional person, shared a laugh as he seamlessly pressed a few buttons and got everything working as it should within a few minutes ( thank god for those gifted with the ability to use tech.)

Order a screen for my BMW 3 series f31 2016 ordered on a Sunday arrived by wednesday. I had a little trouble with set up but aftercare was absolutely amazing I started at 6pm and tried my luck with WhatsApp and had a reply within minutes sorted by issue at 8pm, unit is so responsive and looks amazing can not fault screen and service will be recommending these Guys and Girls to anyone who asks if I could give ten stars I would. Even two days later setting up reverse camera they were available and quick to solve my issue with equipment I hadn't even bought from them absolutely amazing.

Got my Linux screen working well & instructions were super easy too. Hooked everything up in about 45 minutes. Just make sure every cable is fully connected otherwise no oem display will show haha. Thanks DroidUK!

Great product and support. I fitted a MMI box and reversing camera to my 2018 BMW 225xe (F45), and it worked first time. I had a few dumb questions that the guys at Droid answered really quickly on Whatsapp, including ideas for cable management.

Fitting the actual kit is a doddle, the tricky bit was finding where the clips and screws were to open up bits to hide the camera cable nicely, and to stash the box under the dash. You absolutely need a few trim removal tools, and just take photos as you go along so you know where everything goes back 😂.

The box is great, all the original iDrive functionality is unaffected and switching between iDrive and Carplay/Android Auto is just "hold down the menu button".

I bought the system for my f30 2014 BMW system has been faultless I also purchased the reverse camera up until recently the camera was great after 5 years the camera view has gone faint apart from that a Great bit of kit

Product was faulty which dies happen from time to time so I reached out to raise the issue. Sent proof of fault and they sent it back to me saying there was no issue and with a new harness. The issue still was there so I sent it back again and finally got a new unit. From purchasing to getting a new unit took 2 months back and forwards and I’ve had to ask for my postage refund on 3 separate occasions. Very polite people but the service was to be totally honest absolutely rubbish. I’ve had no working product for 2 months since I bought the item. I’d have liked a new unit right from the get go especially with it not being a cheap item at all

Exceptional service from start to finish. Answered all my questions and helped me solve an issue which an independent installer had incorrectly installed my reverse camera. Honestly, wish I found them sooner as the quality is exceptional and service was top notch.

Purchased a 10.25 inch Linux screen for my BMW X1 2018 F48 (NBT EVO) with reversing camera from Droid UK, after a long talk with their customer services and checking to see if the unit would fully interact with my car including idrive, steering controls and head unit.
The unit arrived swiftly and well packaged and i was surprised at the quality of the screen, reversing camera and wiring loom. The installation guide is specific to your setup and downloaded within seconds from the qr code or link provided.
Installation was around 3 hours for both headunit and rear view camera as a few rear panels are required to be removed in order to discretely run the cables from the camera built into the boot release handle to the new stereo wiring loom. The headunit itself was replaced in under 30mins including the two optical wires for the idrive system, once everything was connected it was tested for full idrive and linux implementation.
I was amazed at the new units features and responsiveness, the added bonus of wireless android auto/apple carplay made this a must have purchase for anyone wanting to upgrade their BMW OEM screen to something bigger, with a boot up time almost equal to the original screen and full touch screen capabilities with upgraded bluetooth sound.
The reversing camera is crystal clear at night or day and looks just like the OEM camera that would have been fitted at the factory and automatically comes on when reverse is selected without the need to tap into the rear lights wiring loom.
I would highly recommend Droid UK for there expertise and customer service aftercare which has been absolutely amazing and answered all my installation queries within the hour.

Ordered the MMI box for my 2 series. Pre-sale DROIDUK provided answers to multiple questions which helped me decide this was the right upgrade for my car. The instructions for fitting aren’t the best written, but even as a not very technical person I was able to follow them, and DROIDUK answered questions during install via whatsapp. I actually connected my sound via bluetooth rather than aux, which is mentioned on their website. There has been no dip in audio quality and the carplay connects almost instantly when I turn on my car. Absolutely over the moon with the unit & the service.

You can get these MMI boxes on aliexpress for slightly cheaper but I was willing to pay extra to buy from a UK registered company with aftersales support.

10/10 for support. I fitted an MMI box to my son’s BMW F20 this weekend. The reason I ordered from Droid was because they’re a UK company and apparently have great support, but I didn’t realise just how good that support would be. Due to me being a doofus and not reading the manual I couldn’t get the sound working or the rear view camera working. Rather than waiting for days for a standard “read the manual” response from a support department, Droid went over and above to engage with me on WhatsApp and resolve my issues within minutes. Highly recommended.

Ordered the Linux 10.25 inch screen for my 2015 bmw 1 series. What a bit of kit! It works perfect! Very smooth and fits perfect! Should have done this ages ago! Wasn’t hard at all to install either! Just fiddly with the wiring. Customer support was fantastic!! Couldn’t recommend these enough! Thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered Friday lunch they emailed me some pictures so I could confirm which system I already had on my BMW F31. Got email to say it had been sent and another to say I would receive it Saturday morning. Was delivered at 9am and took around an hour to install. Had a problem with the sound but I hadn’t moved the fibre optic wire from the original plug into the new one. What’s App support was spit on and it’s all working fine. Very happy great clear screen I am very happy and Droid Uk were brilliant from start to finish. If you can afford the little extra definitely buy this one. I would recommend all day long.

Was trying to obtain an MMI box to install on my BMW X6, F16 so obtained one of the droids MMI wireless CarPlay as they came recommended. Jav was very helpful in running through various methods and tests via WhatsApp video call to get me successfully connected. I had experienced prior issues with other units where despite installing it they did not work as when pressing the MENU button it did not bring me to CarPlay screen. However the installation was assisted very well and time was taking to conduct a thorough tests. My refund was also done beyond their expected time scales. The external finish on their products is second to none.

Excellent company to deal with. Instructions were easy to follow and everything works perfectly. The tech support was first rate. I needed help with a few things and it was done via WhatsApp. The chap I spoke to was really great and nothing was too much trouble.

E61 droid experience... So the backdrop is I had a failed ccc and acquired a new one codes to my car with aux to replace. No music prior to this for 3 years. Connected up the droid unit - the only fiddly bit is the stuffing cables behind the unit to fit back. Omg !! Music through the old brilliant system, phone connectivity, reverse camera....fantastic functionality to my 2004 car. No need for phone mount on screen and fuzzy Bluetooth connection like other car. Brilliant product and worth the money to bring life back to an amazing e61.

Next day delivery was fantastic, especially as we spoke in the afternoon. Discussed what would be best for my car and the device works better than expected. Instructions were easy to follow and had the MMI box working in my mini in a space of 15 minutes. Would highly recommend. Top delivery, top customer service, top product.

From start to finish ive had nothing but help. Quick delivery and well packaged. When I finished installing things weren't working so I messaged quite late on the website and recieved a very quick reply which sorted out all of my issues. I would 1000 percent recommend to anybody to use this company.
