Dear patient,
I am sorry to read this review, especially at such an extremely early stage of your healing process. You came us from Denmark on 28 March.
Your surgery was performed on April 9, 2026, and this review was written only a few weeks after the operation. In rhinoplasty, especially in patients with ultra-thick skin, weak tip support mechanisms, wide nostrils, a bulbous tip, high radix, and complex nasal anatomy, the final result cannot be judged in the first weeks or even in the first few months.
It is also important to clarify that when you came to Istanbul, you had initially planned surgery with another surgeon. However, because you did not feel confident with that process, you personally found me and chose to proceed with my surgical plan. Before surgery, we had three online consultations, followed by three additional in-person evaluations and simulations — two in my clinic and the final one at the hospital before surgery. Your expectations, concerns, anatomy, limitations, and surgical plan were discussed repeatedly and in detail.
Despite this extensive consultation process, it seems that your trust concerns continued. This is not related to the quality of the surgical planning or the professionalism of the medical process, but rather to a persistent difficulty in trusting the process itself, even after multiple explanations and simulations.
In cases like yours, the healing process usually takes 18 to 24 months. The nasal tip position, definition, skin envelope, edema, and overall facial balance continue to change significantly over time. The tip will continue to settle into the intended position, and as this happens, the nose will naturally appear more balanced and more masculine. At this stage, even the swelling around the maxillary bone base and nasal foundation has not fully resolved, which can create a misleading perception that the nose looks smaller or less structured than it actually will be.
I have performed more than 3,000 rhinoplasty surgeries, including many complex male rhinoplasty cases, thick-skin cases, revision cases, and noses with severe structural problems. I know very clearly what I have done surgically and why I have done it. My confidence comes from experience, anatomy, long-term follow-up, and many satisfied patients over many years.
Unfortunately, despite explaining the healing timeline repeatedly, some patients are not willing to understand that rhinoplasty is not an instant-result surgery. They judge the result far too early, assume they know the final outcome better than the surgeon, and create unnecessary anxiety for themselves.
Your current appearance is not the final result. With time, the swelling will decrease, the tip will settle, the skin will adapt, and the nose will become more harmonious with your face. I strongly believe that as your healing progresses, you will understand that your current judgment was premature.
I stand behind my work and my surgical decisions.
