Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I inadvertently placed the same order twice, quickly realized my mistake and frantically searched their site to find how to cancel (of course no phone number listed for help). When the prescribed method didn't work (go to account find order and cancel) since the orders didn't show) my only choice was to send them an email. I got a reply the next day saying it was too late since it had already shipped (it had not). Both orders shipped the following day. I only opened one package and now I have to pay $10 to return the duplicate order. NEVER AGAIN!!! I prioritize great customer service over everything else.
Bad policies
I have been trying to purchase a Navy Blue Florentine Nano bag , however, every time they run out of Navy, they put the other colors on sale and after speaking with customer service to see if I could purchase at sale price and wait for delivery, they refuse. This has happened 2 times and they refuse to give a rain check. What a horrible policy.

I wish I could give it less than 0 stars. I have D&B bag from several years ago.Stored the bag but it had air circulating. Took it out and THE LEATHER MELTED INTO ITSELF. I have many bags and never seen this. I contacted the company. They ignore you, they don't respond. Horrible company and I don't recommend them to anyone. Go to Coach, Tumi, Kate Spade, any other company, heck, go to a fake company, probably will be treated better.
Horrible customer service
I used to LOVE Dooney and Bourke until I had to send it in. I had the purse for less than a month because the leather stained from rain. They had my ship it back with an out of pocket expense of $26. I then have had to contact each time asking for an update. They said to choose another purse. I chose one in a dark color as suggested and was told no I had to chose between 2 colors neither of which I wanted. I also inquired that I purchased the $115 wallet to match my original purse to which they will do nothing about; didn't even offer a discount on another. I told them to return my money because I'm not paying for a purse color I do not want. No one has responded to my request and I'm now over a month and a half waiting.
Narrow straps
I have 4 D&B Bags. My main complaint is that their handbag straps are so narrow regardless of the size of the bag. They're heavy bags so when you add all of contents they weigh quite a bit and their narrow straps dig into my shoulder. The strap is the same with with every size bag. They don't offer wider straps for the larger size bags (which would aestically look better, too).Their website is horrible. It rarely gives bag measurements on their site so it always requires contacting their dreaded customer service.

Now I remember why I haven’t bought a Dooney & Bourke in decades. The only one I owned years ago was ridiculously heavy. I ended up giving it away. I saw a Disney purse at the outlet for a great price, so I decided to give the brand another try. Now I remember what the other issue is with their purses. The end of the zipper is not secured, so you have to pull the end out of the purse and use two hands to zip it up. It’s a total pain and a horrible design. Taking it back.
Bag is not real Italian Leather
I ordered and received a saddle bag crossbody bag. It is quote pretty with good stitching. It is NOT leather! Whatever chic coated leather is, this bag doesn't say it's leather and has a thin vinyl covering I ca see on the shoulder strap. The straps are stiff and uncomfortable. Real Italian leather should feel like a well oiled bridle rein. Had I been able to feel the strap before buying, I wouldn't have purchased!
Beware--bait and switch!
I saw a bag that I wanted on the D & B website, so I had it on my wish list. I received no less than 2 different emails saying "20% off your total purchase" and giving me a promo code. The email even included a "we know you want it" along with an image of the bag I was wanting. But when I tried to enter the promo code they gave me, it said it was invalid. I decided to chat with their customer service, and all I got was "that bag is excluded" and "we appreciate your understanding." There was no qualifier that exceptions applied to their 20% off offer and they even showed an image of the bag with the promo code!! As much as I like the bag, I really hate bait and switch and will think twice about ever buying a bag from them!!
NEGATIVE STARS
Terrible customer service and do not stand behind product. My purse collapsed in on the sides near the bottom. I was told I had to "stuff it with tissue and hang it"; i.e. it was my fault and it is not defective. Absurd. Nobody empties their everyday purse every night to stuff it with tissue. It is definitely defective. BUT D&B stands behind the word "defective" to cover any and every thing that is wrong with their product. Therefore, they do not replace anything. I would give this company negative stars if I could. Customer service staff is rude and dismissive.

If I could give negative stars I would. They shipped my orders using Pitney Bowes and I did not receive my order. I paid almost 400$ for that and now I am dumbfounded to see that they labelled my order as "delivered". My first order was via DHL and there was no problem. Using this Pitney Bowes shipping, I have no way of tracking and then suddenly it says delivered 🤷♀️.. Their support team doesn't help at all. Email response after a week, no way of helping customers or issuing refund. Money down the drain. So much for trusting their July 4th sale. I will never waste my money on this company again. Too bad their bags are good, I just wish they dont use that subpar shipping company.
Will not honor order
I've been a loyal DB customer for 30 yrs. I received an email from DB and found a bag on sale with additional 10% off. I ordered it. Two hours later I looked in my email for a confirmation email and there wasn't one. I checked my CC to see if it was billed and it wasn't. I emailed DB to ask and confirm that it went thru but there is no response. Just to be sure, I ordered the bag again and figured I'll talk to someone to cancel one of the bags if both orders are received. The next day I still haven't gotten a response from my email to DB so I try the chat - they tell me there is no order received but they give me a phone # to call. I call that number and the person tells me they will not honor the pricing that I received yesterday because there is no order! I told him that when I ordered - 2X - my Applepay confirmed it (2X). (I was never charged bc DB never processed the order). I have no control over the DB site and whether there was an issue or not. He's adamant if I want the same product I need to pay the full price or keep checking their site for sales. Not helpful at all. I'm so disappointed because I truly loved the DB bags but after this treatment I will be looking at another handbag manufacturer. Very disappointing.

Discount Codes are not honored, why offer?
The discount codes they gave me for 10 percent off would not work. I spoke with them through chat and was assured twice they would send link to solve problem, never sent email with link. I went ahead and ordered purse thinking suc h a large company would rectify the problem, when I called was told once purchase was made nothing could be done. My package was given to a random…I had to investigate my own missing purse right after having surgery
My package was given to a random neighbor on the street and then signed off as given to the individual. I notified the company and they stated they would investigate. A couple of days later, I received an email from customer service that summed up to 'it's delivered and is out of our hands'. They said there was nothing more they could do. They claimed they had investigated and were told the coordinates showed delivery in my area (not my home) and that someone had received the package. I explained that I didn't receive it and wasn't at home. I sent screenshots showing my activity from my camera and the next day, I received an email stating they would investigate further and asked me to give them a couple of weeks. I went to UPS, who then referred me to the USPS, and I spoke with the representative who took it directly to his manager and they got on this right away. Once it was researched, it was acknowledged that the coordinates that showed were of my neighbor's home and not mine. To sum it up, the manager retrieved my package and I now have possession of my purse, all within an hour and a half. I will no longer do business with them. This is ridiculous. I just had surgery and I've been out in the heat and in pain conducting this investigation. I forgot to mention that I went door to door with neighbors who had the same numerical address, just to check.
