If I could rate them any less, I would. I didn't even sign up for the 30 day trail seeing as I had the app for two years and had purchased individual courses during that time. When I saw there was a sale on a few courses I bought a few and never wanted the plus account because I wouldn't use it enough. Low and behold they charged me for a yearly subscription, 168 Canadian dollars and generic emails from them, I'm screwed. PayPal wouldn't refund me either. Fuxk this company, do not use it

I got scammed. I bought a single course and without confirmation or request thry charged me for a yearly plan only after 3 weeks instead of 4.
Additionally or their website the button to kDespite that they completely removed my account and I cant no longer access the course that I bought.

I the same as everyone else. you sign up for 1 course, unwittingly sign you up for a 30 day free trial . Send you an email implying that your free trial is over and you have to renew it if you want to keep access the plus account. You think you don't have to do anything and then 2 months later you find the equivalent to 110$ taken out of your account!!

Woken up this morning by a message from my bank saying Domestika has tried to take two seperate payments of £103.29 at 2.52am. Luckily my bank has rightfully picked it up as a fraudulent transaction, because it is. I have never signed up to a subscription. I'm just lucky my bank spotted this.
I will be cancelling this debit card and get a new one sent out incase they try to do this again.
Do not touch with a bargepole.

While the course I took was very good, Domestika's business practices are deceptive. The courses are clearly marketed at a teaser rate of 99 cents "cancel any time". Then, when you enter payment information they charge you in advance for a one year subscription. But they don't let you KNOW they've done that until the legal 30 days is up. If you try to back out your payment information, there is no means to do that. ONLY to change payment information. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS.

When purchasing a course, they deceitfully hide a subscription option in your basket. If you don't see this because it says £0 and complete the purchase, they will later charge you an additional £100 for a subscription unless you notice and cancel it yourself.
Despite reaching out to request a cancellation (straight away after seeing the money taken from my bank account) and a refund, they have refused to address the issue and they do not have any customer support system, just an AI chat box.
This deceptive practice is a scam designed to exploit those who don't notice the hidden charges. Avoid Domestika at all costs! I wish I had seen all the negative reviews across the internet before buying a course.

I made a purchase of a Marketing course a month ago and now, without my authorization they have charged me 110,72 US$. At the time of purchasing the course it did NOT state ANYWHERE that a trial for Domestika Plus was also included and that you were then charged for the annual subscription.
They refuse to refund money for a subscription that I did not purchase and did not enjoy BECAUSE I DID NOT WANT IT.
It has not only happened to me. There are already Facebook groups with more than two thousand people affected, signatures of people demanding their money back, threads on X, etc.
They are shameless and take advantage of people!!!!

They are knowingly using dark practices to bait then charge customer's for yearly plans they did not realize they were signing up for. They know exactly what they are doing & are likely trying to make some money before they fold. They have people's payment info & there is no way to remove it once you are in their system/enrolled in the yearly plan.

@Domestika ha sido una plataforma de distribución de cursos emblemática, pero últimamente la nueva dirección un de "dark pattern" para obtener dinero fácil.
Te explico, por favor lee todo el mensaje, merece la pena.
Primer cuidado:

Cuando compras un curso con descuento te "cuelan" una suscripción "gratuita" (solo por 30 días) de Doméstika Plus cuando compras un curso, si no cancelas antes de 30 días te cobrarán una suscrición anual de 100 euros.
Presta mucha atención y cancela lo antes posible.
Segundo cuidado (y este es mi caso):

Cancelé mi suscripción a Doméstika Plus DENTRO DEL PERÍODO de 30 DÍAS pero, seguramente por un fallo de su sistema, no se registró la cancelación y me cobraron el importe de la suscripción anual (100€).
Y en ese momento comienza un proceso terrorífico.
a) No tienen teléfono de atención al cliente.
b) El soporte interactivo responde con el mismo texto ya creado que dice que "es posible reembolsar el dinero de la suscripción solo durante el período de prueba gratuito, de lo contrario, después del pago, no se devolverá".
c) Por supuesto esa no es la respuesta a mi caso particular (error en el cobro por fallo de su sistema).
d) Todas las formas de contacto que aparecen en su app y en su web son atendidas por robots que siempre dan la misma respuesta.
Obviamente todo está preparado para cobrar los 100 euros, porque eso podría evitarse con cualquiera de estas opciones:
* Un teléfono o un chat (no solo atendido por "inteligencia artificial") que respondan a casos concretos.
* Que en lugar de aplicar la cuota anual (100 euros) aplicaran una cuota mensual (8,33 euros) haciendo que el perjuicio sea menor y dando oportunidad de bajas después del primer mes.
ES MUY IMPORTANTE TENER EN CUENTA ESTO
Documenta muy bien tu cancelación porque si no lo haces será imposible denunciar el problema a la Policía o a tu Banco.

It's unreasonable. Anyone can overlook a renewal, especially when they don’t use the platform daily.
They definitely play this game, and it’s disgusting.

BE WARNED. This is absolutely THE WORST online experience I have ever had. Domestika will sell you a single course for a small amount of money but without telling you will also sign you up for a year's subscription (over £90) and then ignore any attempt to contact them for a refund. They will take that money without your knowledge or consent. Paypal will not help you get a refund, so please don't fall into this trap.

Stay away if you don't want to get scammed. They stole over £90 from my bank account. Very shady practices. Their support is virtually non existent and they won't give the money back. They also blocked me on social media when I tried to contact them that way.
