Southsea Deckchairs was founded by Stephen Davies, a deckchair attendant working on Southsea beach during the 1980s and this is where Stephen’s love of deckchairs began. The Southsea Deckchair workshop was established in 1991, and the first batch was ready in the same year. The Southsea deckchair was developed from life-cycle testing and continuous improvement over the next 15 years with the three essential ingredients capable of withstanding a seaside environment: quality, strength and durability.

Great service and gorgeous tennis chair…
I recently purchased a new tennis chair and some replacement covers for some I had purchased 8 years ago. I had some problems fitting the new covers and they were very reponsive - quickly sending me an instruction booklet which was very easy to follow. The chairs are gorgeous and very comfortable!

Absolutely fantastic chair
Absolutely fantastic chair. I have struggled for years to find the perfect/ comfortable outdoor chair and I've bought all sorts of camping chairs etc. But this one, is sheer perfection and it looks beautiful and with old school seaside aesthetic. Gorgeous, well made, quality item.

Reliable and trustworthy
I ordered two replacement covers for my Ballui sunloungers. The courier delivered to the wrong address and the box went missing. Joys of living in London !
Roma/Grant were both so helpful and understanding sending me replacements without questioning my honesty.
A wonderful team! I can recommend them.

Sun loungers
We bought 2 sun loungers (Sams as the ones abroad) for the garden. I have chronic back pain and they are so much better than the traditional shop bought ones. They weren’t cheap but worth every penny. Customer service, delivery etc was first class. Thanks Southsea Deckchairs.
