I cannot thank Mr Ball enough! I first visited The Custom Vision Clinic back in early 2019 - after the correct advice and surgery here I am in 2022 with PERFECT vision! From start to finish the whole team have made me feel so comfortable and welcome throughout my whole journey and I cannot thank you all enough. I can see, I can’t believe it but I can see! My wife and I both had cataract surgery, one after the other, in mid 2021. We were both pleased with the outcome and quality of the professional care we received from Mr Ball and his colleagues, both in their surgical skills and the courteous and friendly way in which they dealt with our concerns both pre and post operation. I visited Custom Vision Clinic earlier this year to discuss replacement lens treatment in both eyes. I had been wearing varifocal lenses for many years and was frustrated that, as a creative person and IT worker, my vision was never quite good enough for the fine work that I wanted to do. Prior to the operation I needed additional glasses for computer work and couldn't drive without glasses. Mr Ball examined my eyes and recommended that I would be suitable for a blended vision option and I decided to have both lenses replaced. I can honestly say that it was one of the best decisions that I have ever made and worth every penny. I no longer need glasses at all other than +1.5 reading glasses for times when I do very prolonged close work or lengthy spells of reading in dim light. I don't use them for the computer or driving. I am completely over the moon with the treatment and would highly recommend Custom Vision Clinic to anyone. The whole process from initial consultation to aftercare following the operations was impeccable, professional and completely reassuring. All of the staff whether, clerical or nursing were friendly and professional. I am so pleased that I found you and thrilled with my 'new' eyes. Thank you so much.

Excellent experience all round. Had blended vision laser eye surgery to fix my short-sightedness which first developed during my early teens, whilst also maintaining my ability to read which is starting to affect so many of my fiftysomething friends. Love being able to see first thing in the morning without scrabbling around for my glasses and never having the faff of contact lenses again.

Mr Ball clearly explained the procedure and even delayed the surgery a couple of times as I was struggling with dry eyes that prevented him from operating until I was match fit. The whole team at CVC were a pleasure to deal with.

I recently had lens replacement surgery at Custom Vision Clinic and cannot recommend them highly enough. Mr Ball and his team are all excellent. The procedures and tests were all explained well and on the day I felt in very safe hands. The follow up tests were also very good. It is wonderful to be able to see without glasses. Had lens replacement surgery for bilateral cataracts 3 months ago by Mr Ball. The whole process was professional and friendly, everything was explained in as much detail as I wanted. The surgery was quick, the nurses reassuring and everything went smoothly. Follow up with Mr Jutla, optometrist was also excellent. I would recommend custom vision clinic to anyone thinking of eye surgery. I have my vision back and got my life back , wonderful.

I recently had both cataracts removed by Mr Ball at Custom Vision Clinic. The procedures were carried out professionally and sympathetically and the after-care was exemplary. The operations lasted approximately 15 minutes and were pain-free and, in my case, the results were outstanding – total vision restored. Mr Ball is very approachable and clearly concerned to achieve the best possible outcome for his patients and in the most agreeable manner.

I cannot recommend custom vision clinic highly enough. I am very short sighted and have been since age 5. Dr Ball recommended ICL surgery for me and I now have perfect vision! I was very nervous but Dr Ball was reassuring every step of the way. I cant believe how quick, easy and pain free the whole process was. The whole team were lovely to me and I cant thank them enough.

I came in for laser eye surgery to correct my shortsighted vision. Mr Ball recommended SMILE surgery and the surgery was performed only a couple weeks later. There were a number of post surgery checkups with Gurpal to evaluate how the vision was improving.

Unfortunately whilst my left eye was pretty much perfect, my right eye suffered from blurriness. It was still usable but not what I had hoped for from the surgery. Thankfully Mr Ball agreed and a follow up surgery, this time using LASEK just on the right eye, was done.

Now I can see brilliantly with both eyes and am so grateful that I went to Custom Vision. A very big thank you to Mr Ball, Gurpal and the rest of the team!

I was a bit nervous and apprehensive at first but my overall experience was totally stress free and relaxed: all the staff were extremely friendly and professional.

James Ball is such a nice person and we had a very relaxed first meeting when all options and procedures (lens replacement) were explained to me. During the operation, which was pain free, Mr Ball gave a commentary at every stage making me feel completely at ease.

My husband (optometrist) had done his research and said that I should visit Custom Vision. I knew as soon as I walked through the door that I was in the right hands.

Having always been very sceptical about laser eye surgery, my opticians put me in touch with James and his team at Custom Vision Clinic.
I had my free consultation with James and was amazed by his knowledge and that there were treatments available for someone with my prescription and bad astigmatism in both eyes.
From the consultation, operation and the after care, James and his team have gone beyond what I ever expected and always answered all my questions.
The actual operation was far more daunting than the actual procedure was and I was in and out of hospital within an hour and suffered no real discomfort, fair enough I had some goggles I had to wear for a few days that made me look very special, but I was amazed at the instant difference in my vision.
Having carefully followed all the Post Operation instructions, using various drops when required and with the follow up reviews, I can now say that for someone who's worn glasses and contact lenses for most of his life, the last 18 months after the surgery, have been life changing, especially as I'm a very active person, who enjoys migraines bikes, motorcycle, climbing, snow boarding, swimming, shooting.... to be able to still undertake all these hobbies but without the need for glasses or contact lenses, is fantastic.
It wasn't money spent, it was money invested in myself.

Waiting for the NHS to conduct my cataract operations meant that my quality of life/ability to undertake basic daily tasks was deteriorating and affecting my independence. Mr Ball and his team at Custom Vision Clinic were recommended to me by a clinician based at Calderdale Royal Hospital. I am glad to have followed their recommendation!
