awful place, getting to and away is a nightmare,
we attended on an evening when the football was on,
tried to get a tram back to Manchester, impossible,
so happy it wasn't raining, how can there be so few trams and lines or parking or anyway to get too and from for a concert arena and football stadium,
must be a nightmare for the football supporters doing it every week, ruined what should have been a good night

I visited the Co-op live arena for the young voices concert recently, what a nightmare! We were never informed about having to pre-book for parking cars, there is inadequate parking spaces available, some of the carpark isn't even tarmacked! I parked in the Asda carpark over the road and got £100 fine but had no choice because there isn't enough parking available at the Co-op Live arena! It took an hour for us to collect our children afterwards, my other kids were soaked in the rain waiting for my son who took part. On top of that, I got defrauded as someone tried to purchase something from A.O.Com on my card, I'm not from Manchester and the only place my card details could have been copied was the Co-op live arena? I'll never visit this arena again, why put on gigs with inadequate parking facilities??!

We recently went to see Florence + the Machine and had the most incredible evening at Co-op Live. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the experience felt truly special.

We upgraded to the Cîroc Lounge, and it was worth every penny. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The host at the entrance greeted us warmly, remembered our names while we were relaxing in the lounge, and even came over to check that everything was perfect. That personal touch made such a difference.

The waiters were equally fantastic — attentive, approachable, and always happy to chat with a smile. The whole atmosphere felt relaxed yet premium, and we genuinely felt looked after throughout the evening.

I would highly recommend anyone visiting the arena to upgrade to the Cîroc Lounge for a first-class experience with outstanding service. It truly made an amazing night even more memorable.

Went to see Raye ( who was fantastic!) the venue looked quite impressive inside and toilet queues were moving quickly despite the large crowds. Drink prices were horrendous so I opted for a free plastic glass and used the water fountains for free which was a nice touch. Its a shame that the end of the night ruined the experience as we sat in the car park ( which cost £25) not moving for an hour as Marshalls did nothing to sort the chaos and people got more and more frustrated and angry. Everyone was complaining, we didn't get home until after 1am and I will never go to an event there again purely due to travel issues.

Terrible place. Queues to get in are ridiculous. Totally spoils the occasion. Plus, this bad management works against them cos we could all be onside speding money!

Don’t take umbrellas! Richard head security team take them off you. Then leave them in a pile outside the venue meaning the skip rats that want a free brolly can help themselves I think it’s disgusting that you treat paying customers property so poorly. Ought to be made to pay for replacements.

I went to Young Voices. The signage to the car park was poor leaving you wondering if the extensive queue you were sitting in would actually take you to the right place. £25 to park on a gravel, open car park is a rip off. No-one checked we'd paid for parking so anyone could have got in. Went to entrance with 45 mins left to get in. Told couldn't enter there as there was an incident. Sent to next entrance and waited. And waited. And waited. Event started. Told we could go in, got to front and told we couldn't go in with our tickets and had to return to the first entrance. Absolute shambolic organisation. The staff were shouting out instructions to people that most couldn't hear. There was one staff member with a loudhailer but didn't use it. So many people told the wrong thing. I believe there had also been an issue with ticket scanners. The staff had no idea how to deal with the situation and I have zero confidence that they could actually deal with an emergency situation. Most of the toilets were shut, hardly anywhere to get a drink or something to eat but we were so late in already we were rushing to not miss any more. Missed over half an hour of the show and my 8 year old thought I wasn't coming or might have been in an accident. She'd been looking for me before their show started and was so upset. Seats were uncomfortable. Will be avoiding this venue in future.

First time visiting! Absolutely never again. Came for the young voices concert, was queuing outside for 1 hour 30 mins, to be told that ticket scanners are not working and to go to a different section, at this point the show had started 40 minutes ago. Security staff screaming at visitors, offensive language used, no security check - could of walked in with anything!! Have we forgotten what happened in manchester??? I will not be going here again or letting my child take part in an event here, very worrying!!

Embarrassing! Went there tonight for my child's event.
Travel to the place is terrible, parking is terrible, bars and food shut after 30-60 minutes of opening time and event was 30 minutes late, so couldn't get drinks or food for anyone including young child.
Then people sat in our seat which staff didn't want to move avoiding confrontation. Ruined the whole event for us unfortunately
Can be very loud so maybe take ear protection for young ones.

I paid £95 to attend an event in early December. The view of the stage/ digital screens was obstructed by temporary curtains, which the venue have confirmed should not have been there. The seat was at the back of the arena, so without sight of the screens I could see nothing - it was pointless me being there. Reasonable and polite requests for a refund from the Co-op are being ignored.

The reviews satit all. Booked a back stage pass for sabaton the show looked amazing but the sound has a long way to go. Parking that the back stage pass I bought for me and my son it promised so much. Early entry, went in the same time as everyone else. The pool and games, staff couldn't find the pool balls and non of the arcade games were working. Merch stand only 5 items all XXL and 1 they had no stock off. Secret disco so secret noone could find it not even the staff. Food and drink over priced slow and nothing special, complaints good luck got an email back saying sorry it didn't meet expectations and then sent me a link for me to read properly about what's available, I read it when I booked it thanks and the only thing that was accurate was the free drink please don't waist your money and coop please do so so so much better I feel robbed for £70.

I've been here twice before and was pleased with the location of our seats etc. The staff are very helpful.
But this time when seeing Ed Sheeran, it was a different story. The seats were so high up, if you don't suffer with vertigo, you will by the end. It was horrendous. I didn't feel safe at all. The seats are crammed in and no lighting when trying to find our seats at all.
We were a group of 4, aged between 21 & 72 and none of us felt safe. There is no room for people trying to get past, the seats in front felt really low down. If anything ever went wrong in there, Healthy & Safety would have a field day as it just doesn't exist!
The queues to get in were horrendous, but were at least moving when we joined at the back of beyond.
The food & drink is extortionate. They don't allow to take anything in with you, not even a,sealed bag of sweets!
The car park is well staffed, but again extortionate prices at £25!
Co-op Live is a relatively new building and they really should be taking note of these reviews. Its definitely put me off wanting to go again.

Absolutely shocking. Went for rnb xmas ball. Thought it was going to be an amazing night as it has been previously and would normally overlook the tiny seats because you're up on your feet anyway however, not tonight. My 16year olds 1st experience of a concert and was threatened by a grown, highly intoxicated male (who by the way definately should not have been served anymore alcohol as according to the licensing regulations) who then proceeded to hit my daughter in the face...security was inexperienced, bar staff must be unaware of the law regarding alcohol sales and to top it off we then had to leave because of them. £402 down the drain. Dru Hill and Joe were outstanding but unfortunately didn't get to see most of toni braxtons set or boyz 2 men because of these people. Will not return there unless the matter is dealt with appropriately. Disappointed to say the least

This arena has no infrastructure yet. Nowhere to stay nearby so you are stuck there - taxis without meters on charge what they want to get you home.
The seats in the so called VIP area are cramped and vertigo inducing - no room to enjoy the gig. It is just another project fuelled by GREED. The drink and food prices are astronomical and the drink quality poor. I would not rush back to this venue

The venue looks impressive on first arrival. But things aren't always as they seem. We arrived later than we expected so queues were minimal, but the electronic gate had issues and wouldn't active properly but we just move across one as it wasn't busy, wouldn't like to be in a massive queue waiting on that.
Asked at one of the bar areas if there were hot drinks available and was directed vaguely to an area where food and drnks were available, but on arrival no hot drinks availablefor my other half.
I decided on a cider, when asked the price the bar person said" I think it's about 9 pound " I know how expensive these venues are it was in line with the ridiculous prices they charge. It's a night out so I order a pint, on which the bar person proceeded to pour a pint of lager at which i said no and walked of as they had no clue.
After a walk round the merch stand i purchased a very expensive can of cider from a different bar on the way to the seats.

The arena looks big on entry with great view of the stage area but thats as good as it got, the rows are narrow and the seats small , even my partner who is 5'3" was cramped up.

Excellent show by Sabaton made the experience less awful than it could have been.
Not a venue I would rush back to.

This was my first experience of the co op live venue although my other family members had been before. I hope artists read the reviews before booking a show here. The queue of traffic to get in the grounds was very slow.
The overall appearance on entry to the building was good not massive queues as others have mentioned but that may be because we spent so much time in the car trying to get into the carpark.
They have spent a lot of money putting expensive lights around the top of the outside of the building. And the expensive looking sinks in the toilets, although less toilets than you would find in other venues. Escalators to upper levels a great addition too.
The overall experience of a regular seat in this arena was however more uncomfortable than most old theatres, with the limiting seat sizes, the fixed armrests you can’t just put up out of the way. So little leg room that even when stood up to let people passed into their seats there was very limited space for them to get by.
The sound was by no means the best although we were in tier 3 but from there we couldn’t really get an experience of any vibe from the band or audience everything sounded muted. We could see people dancing, clapping a joining in but it didn’t feel like we were amongst the atmosphere.
My usual arena the AO in Manchester will continue to be more appealing than this venue for many reasons. If they could fix their lifts or put in escalators it would be perfect. But being more comfortable and the whole room vibrating is a much happier and enjoyable environment.

I was shocked by the difficulty we experienced just getting to the venue . Hans Zimmer and his musicians were awesome but the co-op live let the whole experience down by it's outrageous pricing for food and drink and hundreds of meters long ques to get in ( gate F). Four of us visited . We bought 4 chicken burgers ,4 chips and 4 cans of cola and the cost was £96. We were a captive audience and this was a complete rip off.
On the up side I didn't use the car park and parked opposite the arena using justparc. What took me 3hr to get there took me 50mins to get home . I read on some reviews some people took 1.5 hours to get out the chaotic car park . I would seriously consider going elsewhere in the country to see my favorite artists

On the plus - Firstly Hans Zimmet and co to include Lisa Gerrad were absolute amazing, what a show of all shows!! Loved it 😻
Now for the negative deserved feedback as follows:
Well what an absolute shambles trying to get to the venue it was a nightmare! cars literally everywhere the venue was 0.5 miles away and it took an hour and a half to travel this very short distance as I had pre booked the orange car park next to the venue (never ever again). parking was extremely poor, there are a few guys wandering about waving their glow wands! worst parking I have ever experienced.
PART 2 Getting out of the car park after show took an hour and half do not book this car park it’s terrible, again folk were wondering about with their glow sticks not directing the traffic. No organisation whatsoever in directing the traffic it was a free for all on who gets out first…….,, TIP - There are a few car parks on the way in better parking at those and walking to the venue much less stressful and better use of time.

The venue itself was chaos too, I think they need a whole new management team to get the whole set up including the venue, outside road structure and parking organised, I mean who was on the planning committee, Bring. Ack AO arena, I’ve watched lots of great shows in the AO hassle and stress free. Going to the coop has really put me off ever visiting regardless of who will be performing!

Absolutely terrible venue! We went to see Hans Zimmer last night and it was most horrendous experience of my life. We often come to gigs in Manchester to different venues and this has to be the worst we have ever been to. We live in Stoke and it’s roughly an hour-80 minute drive on a busy night- yesterday took us 3 hours. 1 hour it took us to go just 3
Miles. Traffic was awful £25 to park was an absolute joke. We arrived at 8.05pm having left before 5pm the show had started at 7.30pm . We then had to walk to find where we were going - very little stewards and the doors were not well sign posted. Lots of people were late. After arriving the seats I had booked on the aisle on the seating map when I booked them were actually in the middle of a long row. I don’t like sitting in the middle hence why I booked an aisle seat. We had to squeeze past everyone and once we were seated it was unbearably cramped. The seats are tiny with arm rests and a cup holder. So you are sat leaning forward slouched. It was so packed in that I had no room to even take my coat off.

The interval was at 9-920 I went out to use the toilet and it was chaos, queues everywhere nothing signposted- needless to say given the 3 hour car ride, how chaotic it was - and how incredibly uncomfortable I was in the seats that were not the ones I had selected according to the seating chart- we left at 9.15pm, and it took an hour to get home. I am glad we left when we did because getting off the car park with everyone else would have been hell!

It is possibly the worse place for a venue- I will NEVER go to the coop again! I’ve driven to the first direct arena at Leeds quicker than I have the Coop absolutely terrible!

Absolutely awful!
Been stuck in traffic for over an hour trying to get to see Hans Zimmer. You can’t contact the venue in any way shape or form, ridiculous! I am now missing a concert that I paid good money for and as gift for family. Paid £25 for parking and can’t even get to it due how badly the road has been designed.
I hope that someone will be in contact with me regarding this!
Update: Got to the venue and missed the first two songs, concert was incredible! However it was ruined by rude staff and an overall disorganised venue.
Will not be coming back to co op live again - would recommend people avoid this venue.
