Crooks. They charge you $0.99. While your payment is processing, something pops up, fast, then disappears. I realized what it said once I got my email. That I'd be automatically enrolled in a ridiculously priced subscription of $39.99 per frigging month!! That's click bait! But wait! There's more!! There is no way to unsubscribe! When you click on Contact Us, the last 4 digits of their phone number are blocked and asked for information in order to view those numbers. DON'T FALL FOR IT! CROOKS!

Scammers. I was stollen 40$ with no advance information 2 days after I payed 1$ for a mediocre test.

These guys are scammers 100%

Tests are fun and quite accurate! I did foresee that they would ask me a small payment ad that this would be a trap, so I paid for it with a disposible card (created with Revolut)
i think i had a number of fun tests, with nice results, for less than 1euro, so that´s alright.
I do not recommend ever putting in one´s real credit card for this type of websites.

Absolute Scam, l didn't sign up or get an account. They still took payment around the back door with Google pay.

Finished the full IQ assessment, closed the app to take a phone call, and then couldn't figure out where my score had gone. Support replied within the hour with a screenshot showing the exact tab.

My son took the IQ test on my account and then neither of us could find his results. Support explained where completed tests are stored and offered tips on keeping scores separate.

The questions were entertaining and brief .

Let the trial lapse into a paid month entirely through my own inattention. Support refunded the $39.99 without me even asking twice, which I did not expect.

Well the initial test was fine and fun, than I had to pay (somehow I knew that) - it was 0.99USD so I tried to give it a go. While I beleive that they have information about subscription plan when they asked me to pay on mobile phone this information was not clearly visible. But there was different issue - at the end of the test I was told that the results will be sent to my mail in PDF format which is clear misinformation. The other issue is that link in mail to complete registration does not work outside facebook app. This alone let me to explore settings to find out that I have active subsription. So I asked via mail to cancel my account completely because for unknown reason it cannot be done from within the app itself. I will be checking my bank account though because after this expereience though short I do not trust this company.

Emailed cognius asking how to cancel, expecting a link to some help article. They just... cancelled it for me. Confirmation attached. That was the whole interaction.

My percentile ranking vanished after the app updated. Support said the layout had moved things around and sent me the new location — everything was intact.

I clicked on a Facebook advertisement offering a service for USD 0.99, which was the only payment I knowingly agreed to make. After completing the process, the website never finished loading. It continued spinning for more than two hours, and I never received access to the service or any confirmation that my registration had been completed.

Several days later, I discovered that USD 41.51 (R681.63) had been deducted from my account. I had not knowingly agreed to a recurring subscription and was surprised by the charge.

Only after investigating the company's website did I find the General Subscription Terms stating that the USD 0.99 payment was for a trial that would automatically convert into a paid subscription unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial ended. In my experience, this was not made sufficiently clear during the sign-up process, and I did not receive any reminder before the subscription charge was processed.

The first communication I received from the company was only after the payment had already been taken. I contacted them requesting a refund, cancellation of the subscription, closure of my account, and confirmation that no further charges would be made.

I believe the company could improve by making the trial terms and automatic renewal much more prominent before payment, providing clear confirmation that a subscription has been created, and sending reminder emails before charging customers.

Based on my experience, I would advise anyone considering the trial to read the subscription terms carefully and understand exactly when the trial ends to avoid unexpected charges.

My composite IQ number was nowhere on the dashboard, just the category scores. Apparently it sits one tap deeper support pointed it out in their first reply.

Honestly thought deleting the app would stop the billing. It doesn't, obviously, and $39.99 later I learned that from a very patient support agent who also processed my refund.

Didn't realise my one off payment was actually tied to a subscription. My bank called about suspected fraud and cancelled it.. I had tried to log on via email with no success, assumed it was fraud..

Retook the test hoping to beat my old score and then couldn't find either result. Support explained the history lives under Progress, not on the home screen, and both scores were right there.

Signed up on cognius during one of those late-night scrolling spirals and forgot about it like two seconds later, classic me. Trial ends up billing me, and I'm bracing for the back-and-forth, but support just undid the whole thing, no interrogation, no "well actually" — just handled it.

My banking app pinged me at 7am about $39.99 going to cognius.app and I was sure my card details had leaked somewhere. One chat with support and it turned out to be my own forgotten trial — the refund landed the next morning.

That $39.99 withdrawal looked exactly like the sneaky recurring charges my bank keeps warning about. I flagged it to support fully expecting a fight; instead I got an apology and a same-day refund
