The 1:1 session with Karen was really helpful. We recorded a short segment of me giving a live presentation & went through it together where Karen pointed out things I could improve. Jen gives you a very thorough rundown of how we should all be approching our preparation. Her training actually made the prospects of an interview feel fun and exciting, as something to look forward to instead of intimidated. Her wealth of knowledge and experiences means she's been in every type of situation and can effectively coach any trainee. She's straight forward, quick on her feet and warm at the same time, allowing her to be effective right away with the trainee. She builds up your confidence and toolkit.

One thing I learned from the training is - In my presentation material I often think about grammar too much, ended up missing the point I wanted to express. Reframe it to a conversational can actually communicating better meaning. I noted on my next approach in preparing for a presentation, is for me to speak it first then write :)

I found the media training with David very helpful. He came prepared with feedback for our previous media work. He also asked us about areas that we specifically wanted to work on at the beginning of the training and then addressed those throughout. His general overview was good too. The way he did a practice run (pre-interview prep, interview, and feedback) was helpful. In the end, he was able to identify our strengths and weaknesses and gave us useful pointers to work on to improve our skills.

Karen helped me greatly improve my presentation skills in only one hour. The change is very clear from presentation video recordings taken before and after the coaching.

We scheduled a last minute 2 hours session with Karen ahead of a very important investor meeting later that same evening. With the short timeframe, Karen focused on the 2-3 highest impact areas to improve my presentation in the short time that I had to prepare. This gave me more confidence in delivering the presentation itself as well as a number of techniques I continue to use today. Can imagine the potential improvement Karen could help deliver over a longer period of engagement.
