Beware something is wrong with the Chemist Warehouse NZ online store. It’s advertising is misleading public as many items aren’t available, but they won’t remove them from the website. You add to cart and they take your payment and then proceed to refund days later. Can someone please audit them asap
My second purchase from Chemist Warehouse Online
My first purchase from Chemist Warehouse was good, albeit the delivery took some time. However, in my latest order - 2 products were missing. One of the products is apparently currently unavailable, however, another product ordered didn't turn up at all. Trying to contact them is a nightmare. This will probably be my last purchase from Chemist Warehouse Online. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

First she tells me it wasn't uploaded to the system that I need to go back to my Doctor... I don't know pharmacy or doctor processes, what am I supposed to do here?
She said nothing, so I said did you check your system under my name I have a paper prescription and another in the system.
She looks it up then she goes, ohhh yeah here it is I'll go get it..

Then she had an attitude with me as I have restricted medication and I mask in store as I have immune issues. She wanted I'd which is fine, but then goes "oh your mask.." excuse me COVID is a thing and I'm not dying

Utterly disappointed and disgusted
I ordered what was on line, paid, product was ougbof stock. In another order, they sent my parcel to the wrong address. NZ Post held it since the ChemistWarehouse had to call them and redirect the parcel. I wasn't allowed to fo it. I emailed them a d they have not responded for over a week now. I rang another number, by accident, Chemist warehouse in Auckland and they said the Chemist warehouse on line is a separate business. They are aware of the problemd and cannot do anything about this. They tried and the Chemist Warehouse on line don't care. I will not buy from them any more, they cannot be trusted. Shame, ' local company'
Dirty tactics
WARNING - Don't be fooled by the seemingly cheap prices advertised on their website. More often than not, products aren't available and their website does not reflect current stock supplies. It's an intentional tactic to lure people to purchase in hopes that you'll add more items to the cart which are available. I don't know how many times I've been sent an email claiming supplier issues when products are not available. Yet when you go back to the website and check availability in-store whaddayaknow, it's there! I've made 6 online purchases from Chemist Warehouse this year and only 1 of those orders was fully completed. I had an entire order with 8 items in it refunded 2 months ago! This company and it's staff do not hold the old kiwi values of honesty and customer priority at the fore. It's quite disgusting really that practices like this are being normalized in NZ.

Why list products but are unable to fill? I have ordered a few times due to cheaper than my local pharmacy but I have never received my full order. There is always 1or2 items that are out of stock

This company is acting like many scam artists. It debits the credit card and then cancels the order. No response to emails ands they don't answer their phone.
Guess I'll have to retrieve my money through the bank process.

I really should have looked at reviews BEFORE purchasing anything from this website. Order remains on Processing Order and calling to the 0800 number to query the delivery of my order is basically just listening to the wait music for hours on end. Very disappointing experience.
This Company is a serial offender
This Company is a serial offender. Why do they advertise products they can't supply?? Happens so frequently it is criminal. Take your money and refunds at a later date but have still had to chase them up. Surely getting a stock control system isn't out of their control!

Put an online order last night....immediately said CANCELLED, then said processing, then got a partial refund with no notification of what they are not going to send ....both products I ordered STILL LISTED IN STOCK! I gave in my prescription for pain medication at 6pm. People came after me and waited no more than 10 minutes. By 7:30 pm I had asked 3 times if it’s ready only to be told they’re still working on it. At 7:48 I went and asked how much longer. By that time I was the only one waiting and there were 4 people working behind the counter putting meds away in boxes. And low and behold they pulled it from one of the boxes. No explanation or apology. They will never see me again. I usually get my prescriptions delivered to my door by an excellent pharmacy called PillDrop. This was an exception as my husband had immense pain in his knee and I thought I’d go get it straight away. Don’t waste your time there. Pity the lowest star rating is one as they deserve minus. This was at Westgate. Pull finger and pick up your service!!

The change of mind policy is strict, within a 7 day timeframe. Other companies do offer a longer time frame.
The wait time was over 20 minutes for the online shop, I hung up in the end.
The products do take a while longer to be delivered recently.
I do think they have a reasonably good range at reasonable prices but if you don't mind the wait, there are other sites that offer more of a selection.
Online experience is abysmal
Online experience is abysmal. It took 2 weeks to deliver part of order. After many emails (no answer by phone) got refund for face cream and VitC, 3 weeks later. They said their supplier hadn’t despatched the stock to them yet. Why allow out of stock items to be ordered in first place. As of today, the items still erroneously show they in stock. When they say “delays due higher than normal demand” that seems to be a normal situation as I my previous order a number of months ago was also delayed.

I was very disappointed with the service at the pharmacy. My husband need a 3 day supply of pressure meds. We just moved over to a new medical centre and awaiting an appointment with his doctor to get a script. The pharmacist agreed to give us the meds. So I waited 10min and saw I wasn't given the meds. I approached the counter and I was told I had to wait another 20min as they making up other customers meds. I was literally the only person there and they had 5 people working behind the counter. So could 1 of them not make up 3 pills and give it to me. I am infront of them. I saw them going on making up bags of meds and throwing them in boxes. Could they not think that I was standing infront of them and they shud be helping me. This is not on and I also don't appreciate the manner in which I was spoken to. There should be a system in place....I walked out without the meds...really disappointed

Really tired of trying to use their useless website. NOTHING I want to purchase is ever available. Things are always unavailable in stores and can't be ordered online either! Out of 10 items I wanted to purchase not 1 was available in the only store I can visit under a 3 hour drive. Any company can advertise a cheap price but it means zip when you don't have the goods! If CW has some items that are in store only, at least ensure that you DO have the stock!! Boardering on false advertising and it should be stopped.

I wish I had read the reviews before I dealt with this company. I had an experience like most of the other reviews. Online shopping has no back up in favour of the customer. I made 8 calls in total at 20 minutes each time to no avail. Sent an email no reply. It was NZ post that came to the party in the end. Chemist Warehouse sent it, had my money and addressed it so they should have been at least contactable. I ordered on the 9th of March and received on the 23rd. I had to go and buy my foundation elsewhere so no savings there as two days later it turned up with a dangerous goods sign on it because it contained paint and perfume. The paint was a cuticle oil. I won’t be singing there praises or dealing with online ordering again.
Don’t order online…
Unless you can get to an actual store, don’t bother because you will be waiting an undetermined amount of time for your order. I placed an online order over 7 business days ago and they still haven’t dispatched it despite their website saying orders will be dispatched in 1-2 business days and if for any reason there is a delay, they will notify you through email. After day 4 with no update, I sent an email to their “contact us” email and nobody replied to me. 2 days after the email I called the 0800 number where I sat on hold for over 20 minutes. An automated voice eventually answered, told me to call back or email before hanging up on me.
I emailed customer service again more assertively and messaged them on Facebook for them to tell me that my order was waiting to be dispatched. Duh…
When I told them that 7 business days with no communication was not acceptable, they said if it’s taking too long for you, just fill in a form for a refund.
Shocking customer service.
