False claims of dog toy durability
My dog was pulling the stuffing out of her new Cheeky, “Finley, the Fearless” dog toy in just over 5 minutes of play. This is in direct contrast to the durability claims on their website, including this false claim on their home page: “ INDESTRUCTIBLE DOG TOYS THAT FINALLY LAST”. This toy is no more durable than a regular plush toy, making this company’s claims completely false. Furthermore, they sent me an email asking me what I thought. Big surprise, the multiple times I attempted to submit a negative review with an image of the damage to the toy, I received the following error message: “There was an error submitting your review. Please refresh and try again.” It appears to me that the company is intentionally blocking negative reviews.

Hi Kevin,
We’re truly sorry to hear about your disappointment — and we appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
We never block or hide negative reviews. All feedback, positive or negative, is visible and valuable to us, as it helps us continue improving. If you experienced a technical issue when trying to submit yours via email, it may have been a glitch — and we’re happy to investigate if you’d like to resend it.
As for the durability: our toys are made with ballistic materials like Dyneema® (15x stronger than steel by weight), but they're still soft plush toys — not chew-proof. We always clarify this on our website and in our FAQs, and encourage supervised play, especially with determined chewers.

Toy torn in less than 30 minutes
This toy was torn in less than 30 minutes by my 15lb dachshund. This product is amazing simply because it was torn quicker than any other dog toy we have gotten. This product is such a disappointment as it claims to be "for chewers" and "indestructible" but does not hold up to a half hour of play with a small dog.

Hi Are,
We’re sorry to hear the toy didn’t hold up to your expectations — that’s disappointing to us too. While our toys are made from extremely tough technical fabrics, they’re not indestructible, and some dogs manage to damage them quickly, even smaller ones.
Thanks for your feedback — if you'd like to share photos for our R&D team, feel free to email us at customerservice@cheeky-dogs.com.

Female lab Tore open unless than 5 minutes
While I was watching her in Less than 5 minutes my female lab mix had tore open a hole in the middle of the whale toy, NOT on a seam or ear etc!
Completely FALSE advertisement as the their open page of their website says in giant letters INDESTRUCTIBLE,
15x STRONGER THAN STEAL!!
STRONGER THAN STEAL is blatant misleading FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!
This is a complete joke of a product and severely falsely advertised,
SAVE YOUR MONEY SND DO NOT BUY!!!!!

Hi Mark,
We’re sorry to hear the toy didn’t meet your expectations. We do use technical materials like Dyneema® — trademarked as the world’s strongest fiber, up to 15x stronger than steel by weight — to reinforce our toys. But even with this kind of performance fabric, no plush toy is fully indestructible, especially with determined chewers.

Don't waste your money. My mini goldendoodle had the toy(s) torn open in less than 5 minutes. When contacting the company, the response was "some dogs are harder on these toys". No refund just excuses.

We’re truly sorry the toy didn’t hold up for your dog — that’s always disappointing, especially so quickly. Our toys are reinforced with high-performance materials, but some dogs do manage to damage them fast, depending on their chewing style.

Bought the whale and bear
Bought the whale and bear. Website says indestructible but I was a realist and figured my 9 month vizsla would have a couple weeks use. Boy was I wrong. The whale had a small hole within 10 minutes and turned into a larger hole with stuffing all over in 20 minutes. The bear didn’t fare any better. The material is billed as indestructible ballistic fabric. It is no where near. My dog isn’t a super aggressive chewer but this is ridiculous.

Hi Cheryl,
We're truly sorry to hear that the toys didn’t hold up with your dogs. We know how disappointing that can be — especially when you had high hopes.
Our toys are designed to be tougher than standard plush toys, but unfortunately, some powerful chewers still manage to break through. Every dog has their own play style, and we’re constantly working to improve based on real-life feedback like yours.

Destructible toys that don't last
We waited months for our order, excited to finally try a toy that was advertised as “indestructible dog toys that finally last.” That claim was the whole reason we backed the project — our dog destroys every stuffed animal within hours, so we were hoping this would finally be different.
Unfortunately, the toy didn’t even last a few days. When we contacted them, instead of standing behind their bold claim, they blamed it on “every dog having their own play style.” That’s a pretty disappointing excuse for a product marketed as indestructible.
To make it worse, they offered no replacement, no compensation, and no real solution, hiding behind the fact that they don’t provide refunds for Kickstarter orders. Policies aside, a company making such strong promises should take responsibility when their product fails almost immediately.
In short:
Not indestructible at all — broke within days
Zero accountability despite bold marketing claim
Unhelpful customer service after months of waiting
If you’re buying these toys hoping they’ll “finally last,” like the website promises, save yourself the disappointment.

Hi Morris,
We're sorry to read your disappointment. As explained by email, the toy had already been used for several weeks, and the damage shown was minor and fixable — which is why we suggested a quick repair to extend its life.
Our toys are designed to be more resistant than standard plush toys, but no toy is indestructible — especially depending on the dog’s play style. We genuinely appreciate feedback, as it helps us keep improving.

Actually Lasts
We have two GSDs. We had yet to find any stuffed or fabric toy of any sort that would/could hold up to our two dogs. They love sneaking the stuffed animals that we keep for our grandkids, so we have continued to search. We were intrigued by Cheeky's claims and decided to try it. They are decently priced & there was free shipping. They got here on time & were exactly as described. It has been 1 whole week of lots of rough play, tug of war, and trying-to-find-the-squeaky. I am pleased to say that all 3 are still in tact. We are very glad that we purchased these, especially the bundle (because our girl GSD just loves Ellie).
