If I could give zero stars, I would. Never have I ever dealt with a business as poor as this one. Not only is their Internet service experiencing an outage more than it is working (regardless of weather conditions) but trying to contact the company to cancel service was a NIGHTMARE. I had been on the phone with them for over 40 minutes, mentioned 15 separate times I wanted to cancel my service and every single time they ignored my requests and continued to offer add on services, then would put me on hold when I declined said services. If there were no other Internet services that existed in this world and I had to choose between charter or living in the Stone Age I would choose the Stone Age every single time
Poor experience
If you have a choice of who to pick for an Internet service provider, choose the other vendor. Spectrum is horrible. I live in an apartment complex where they decided to use another vendor for Internet. So I had to cancel my service. Spectrum billed me for the entire month even though I got very little usage of the Internet for this particular cycle. They refuse to work with you on the billing. They give you a song and dance about how they don’t prorate your last payment. I have never had this experience with another provider charging you for service that you did not use. But here we are. Their service is expensive and not always reliable.

I have a mobile account with spectrum and back in nano my bill was $40.00. When February came my bill went up $10.00 so I blew it off thought I was late on my bill. Well now it is March and my bill is $50.00. So I called them and this is what they told me. Because I have only one line because it is only me I now get charge $50.00. If I had another line they would charge me $30.00. Talk about a rip off. I always knew that Spectrum was corrupted now I really know. I will be searching for an alternative solution. I am on a fixed income so every penny counts. There is nothing in this country that helps the people that are not wealthy. It is a shame.

Bill increase and duplicate charge on same day
Today, I found out my bill went up to $91.25 because they took away the discount for autopay.
Then on the same day, they charged me twice for the same overpriced bill. I had to wait ages for customer service and they acted like it was my fault I got charged twice and said they can’t reverse the duplicate charge right now.
This messed up my other scheduled payments for the day because Discover Bank’s fraud detection systems overreacted and declined all other payments as threats to account security and I had to waste a lot of time sorting it out.
I’ve been getting a lot of offers from Frontier for internet service. Maybe it’s time to consider a change.

I’m extremely disappointed with Spectrum Mobile. My bill increased without a clear reason or any meaningful explanation. Company's representative promoted how “great” Spectrum Mobile is, how fast the internet/data would be compared to other providers, and how “cheap” the service would be overall. And guess what, those claims are just lies.
What bothers me most is not only the pricing change, but the attitude afterward — feels like customer concerns are not taken seriously, and getting any adequate answer is impossible. Because of the lies, unexpected increase and the misleading sales pitch, I do not recommend Spectrum Mobile.
Attempted service stopping by returning hardware
Attempted to stop service by returning the hardware to a Spectrum store. I was told that after dropping off and signing off contract that I was done-- nothing more was needed. I did that and then I receive a balance owed 30 days later for the upcoming month. When I called and complained to Customer Service that was part of ending the service and sent it out for collection. Dishonest business practices like this sour me on the industry.

I hate spectrum they are not helpful. They’re not reasonable. They’re not anything they are thieves. If you ask me, I know I just paid them $188 and now I just paid them another 200 within a week in November I made three payments like why am I making three payments for one bill and one month anyway they’re really suck cause I need them for my phone and they won’t even let me upgrade when they told me I could upgrade anytime I wanted, but no, they lied. I have to pay a certain amount supposed to be no contract because I’m eligible for the low income Internet, but since my phone is tied to the TV, I can’t change to the low income and I am having the hardest time keeping my spectrum Internet on. I sent them a demand letter and they denied every demand. I ended up calling the lady horrible names and hung up on her. They suck suck suck suck suck ! Horrible experience can’t wait to get rid of them! They make me sick!

I have been a Charter (Spectrum) customer for four years in ZIP code 91007, and every single month there are several nights where I have to worry about the internet suddenly going down after midnight.
What finally pushed me over the edge was the period from 12/16 to 12/19, 2025 — for four consecutive nights, the internet went down like clockwork after 12:00 a.m. This is beyond unacceptable.
Charter provides a modem that looks fancy, but it’s completely useless. I’ve already had it replaced twice, and it made no difference. The problem is clearly not the modem, but their infrastructure.
Their network lines are obviously outdated and poorly maintained. This feels like old, deteriorating equipment being kept in service far beyond its lifespan.
I have now terminated my service. Charter repeatedly tested my patience, and I’m done. No customer should have to live with this level of unreliability.

Spectrum is the worst, they offer you a deal
Wi-Fi n house phone and it’s never a deal they just want to rip ppl off, they don’t never tell you the deals they can offer if you receive any assistance, they don’t ever tell you there’s programs that help pay your WiFi at a really low cost. Why? Bc they want to rip ppl off. Wi-Fi should never be over $40 not even $20!
If you receive assistance I’m telling every one apply for spectrum internet assist. It’s a program where your bill is $79 will go too $17. They should never try to rip ppl off! By saying get a bundle, it’s not a bundle. They just want money money money. Apply for it and you’ll thank me later.

They overcharged my elderly Parents for years and I caught them. Then, they didn’t disconnect the internet that hadn’t been used in Months and continued to charge them. Scumbags…

They admitted that they have me on a recorded call requesting the internet be disconnected last September…, but they will credit ny Dad for 2 months…

Spectrum Charter Co.: 9/02/25 is the WORST and just keeps going further down if that is at all possible. Their 411 service gives you a list of the stores you want but no address, You have to choose first then find out the address, and then you know you picked the wrong one; so you have to call back. But I won't do that just to get charged again. Spectrum/Charter Co continues to rip off their customers.

A one-star rating far exceeds what Spectrum deserves. They have the dumbest people in their retention department. I called on 8/07/25 to cancel my service because I switched to VZW internet service. The person with whom I spoke must have thought I was some idiot. She made all these false claims about 5G home internet and even denied Spectrum suffered any outages during last year's hurricanes (1-week outage). Spectrum/Charter will hire anyone; they have no standards and know nothing about customer service and treating customers with respect. Glad to finally see home 5G internet improving. Now the once only provider in my area - Spectrum - has some competition.

Spectrum is the WORST, do not use them, go to another TV provider. The customer service is the WORST experience I have EVER had. Horrible service
I would give a negative star if I could. I have been with spectrum mobile for couple of years. They say that the 4th line is free and I added the line now they start charging me. I talked to a representative few times. Those looters told me that it was never a promotion. This is ridiculous. I would recommend not to stick with this cheap customers service.

Spectrum internet is not all it says it is. It has gone out 3 time in the past 2 months
they want to charge you for everything. If you are long time customer forget about getting the latest price deals. All I can say if I had a different choice I would not use them. I live in small Ohio town.

They have a monopoly in my area so they can do whatever they want regardless of how bad the service is. The internet cuts in and out a lot because they are too cheap to upgrade their equipment. They underpay their workers as well as keeping their staff to a minimum to maximize profit.
Spectrum charges dead people
My mom died on 6/20. Spectrum bill, dated 7/3 arrives today, 7/11. I call to disconnect service which they did. They then proceed to tell me the amount due for service, after she died is still due.
Then, when returning the equipment, I was told I am not an authorized user of the account and could not return the equipment.
Spectrum charges dead people for services they did not receive and refuses their own equipment when returned.
There is a name for people like this, I am just not authorized to use it here.
Hard sell+horrible service=Miserable experience!
I was already using Spectrum Business and needed a new phone system. So I met with Josh Baker who is with the healthcare department of Spectrum enterprise. He gave me the hard sell for new internet and Ring Central phone system. It's been nothing but a cluster F of confusion and broken promises. Spectrum reps know NOTHING about Ring Central! You sign a contract and then they ghost you. Do not work with these people-THEY ARE CROOKS! And my monthly bill is OVER $600!! Seriously thinking about canning them and nixing the contract.
