Car Transport Express is the worst company to deal with
26May2026: My 2022 BMW was STOLEN while under the care of transport providers arranged through Car Transport Express in Brisbane QLD.
I am extremely disappointed with the handling of this matter and the ongoing lack of urgency, communication and customer support despite numerous phone calls and emails over the last several days.
I am still awaiting clear updates regarding insurance, compensation, refund of transport fees and interim support arrangements following the theft of my vehicle and personal belongings.
FOLLOW-UP – 13 JUNE 2026
The owner is yet to contact me and the manager Danielle Barrington is rude and dismissive of the situation refusing to accept blame for their negligence and directing me to the sub contractors insurance as well as refusing to refund the fee I paid for a vehicle that did not arrive to me.
On 11/5/2026 I engaged Car Transport Express to transport my vehicle from Queensland to Victoria and paid for the service in full.
On 26/5/2025 I discovered that my vehicle had been stolen while in the custody of A1 Transporters, a subcontractor engaged by Car Transport Express. My vehicle was never delivered to me.
The vehicle remains unrecovered and substantial Personal belongings that were inside the vehicle were also lost.
To date, insurers are still investigating the circumstances surrounding how the theft occurred while the vehicle was in the custody of the transport network used by Car Transport Express.
What has been most disappointing is the lack of support provided throughout this process. I have had to personally:
• Follow up with police
• Lodge and manage insurance claims
• Chase updates from multiple parties
• Gather documentation and evidence
• Pursue information regarding the theft
I paid for a transport service that was never completed, yet I have been left to deal with the consequences and financial losses, including my insurance excess.
Consumers should also be aware that Car Transport Express operates under Trade Car Transport Pty Ltd (ABN/ACN details available on public records) and trades under multiple business and marketing names. I encourage customers to do their own due diligence and understand exactly who is responsible for their vehicle and which subcontractors may ultimately handle transport and storage.
My vehicle was entrusted to Car Transport Express and was stolen before delivery. That fact remains unchanged.
This matter remains ongoing. I will continue to post factual updates as investigations, insurance assessments and legal advice progress.
