I wish I could give 0 stars and shut this company down!!! I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with CareCredit. I had made my FINAL payment of $1,600 to pay off my account, only for CareCredit to “cancel”/reverse the payment and then turn around and charge me approximately $2,500 in one-time interest/late fees. Let that sink in: I made a $1,600 final payment, believing I was paying off my account, and CareCredit reversed/cancelled that payment and subsequently hit me with a $2,500 charge. I find this absolutely unacceptable. The way CareCredit handles these promotional balances, deadlines, interest, and fees is extremely misleading to consumers. These charges can easily catch someone off guard, especially when they have made a substantial payment believing they are doing what is required to pay off their account. If there was an issue with my payment, I should have been clearly notified and given an opportunity to correct it before being hit with a $2,500 one-time interest/late charge. Instead, I was left feeling like the company benefited from cancelling my payment and then charging me thousands of dollars. I understand that credit accounts have terms and conditions, but consumers deserve clear, upfront communication, especially when the consequences can amount to thousands of dollars.
This experience has completely destroyed my trust in CareCredit. I would strongly caution anyone considering using this company to carefully document every payment, monitor their account closely, and make absolutely sure they understand when promotional balances expire and what fees can potentially be charged.
CareCredit, this is not acceptable customer service. A $1,600 final payment should not turn into a $2,500 surprise charge.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

You will have better luck pulling and paying with your own teeth than you will getting a successful payment to go through. Trying to use my emergency credit card is its own God damn emergency in and of itself.

Care Credit is good for nothing. The interest rates alone are a crime. The promotional balance is very short & not worth the hype. I will never recommend or use them again!

Do not use carecredit! Scam to make money off the elderly...As well as Aspen dental..Amount doubled before paying off entire balance...

If I could rate this company 0 stars, I would. 1 star is being WAY too generous.
So they slapped me with a $30 fee because my last payment went through a closed bank account of mine. As a result, the payment was bounced. I made this last payment through my active account, not this closed account.
I called CareCredit to dispute this. They were super nasty towards me and kept talking over me. Even after politely asking for someone higher up, their patience with me wore out and still, they kept repeating like a robot "You have to pay the fee, whether it's your fault or not."
$30 may not be much, but I just lost my job. This minimal amount is acutally a lot for me. I even asked if I would qualify for their hardship program, and CareCredit replied no. Then, they abruptly hung up on me.
Now, I am working with a debt consolidation agency that's nonprofit which will interact with CareCredit on my behalf--I don't have to deal with CareCredit directly. Managed to cut the monstrous interest rate in half.
I do not recommend CareCredit at all. They are extremely unprofessional, nasty, and have no compassion whatsoever. They are just a bunch of ruthless, cold money-hungry machines.

My experience with CareCredit/Synchrony Bank has been absolutely horrible.

Trying to reach customer service is unbelievably frustrating. Their chat line doesn't work, and getting an actual person to help is nearly impossible. A company handling people's financial accounts should have a reliable and accessible way for customers to get assistance. CareCredit/Synchrony does not.

And I didn't just try once.

I attempted to resolve my issue through their available customer-service channels. I even submitted a written dispute online and mailed a written dispute to them — and received NO RESPONSE.

Think about that: I took the time to formally put my dispute in writing, both electronically and by mail, and they couldn't even be bothered to respond.

This is completely unacceptable customer service.

When a financial institution makes it nearly impossible to speak to someone, has a chat system that doesn't work, and then ignores written disputes, what exactly is a customer supposed to do?

I would strongly recommend that anyone considering CareCredit research the customer-service experience and complaints before opening an account.

I am extremely disappointed with CareCredit/Synchrony Bank and would not choose to use this company again.

Charge me a 30 dollars late fee for a payment they didn't process payment was due on 2nd of the month I paid on the 2nd then they processed it on the 3rd an charged me 30 dollars they ease it in with the balance so you don't know it unless you check your payments crooks

Wow where do I begin! I got this card because my friend has one and seems to have no problems. I needed it for medical reasons. Well I should have taken the hint when it took over a week just to apply. The website is awful and very confusing not to mention the programs they offer are total BS.
I finally got my card and used it at my dentists office not realizing the first time you use the card the merchant sets the no interest period. I charged the second time and when I received my bill there was an interest charge. I decided to call and as we’ve all read, that’s like traveling to Asia through the phone! I finally got through to rudest service agent I have ever encountered. She told me that only the charge to the merchant you first used is interest free. WHAT??

At that point I knew I didn’t do my due diligence reviewing this company. I asked her to make a payment then I said “Please close this account” and paid off the balance.

I then went to B of A, my credit card company and got 0% for 20 months, cash rewards on purchases and $200.

I am appalled that at a company at this level can be such a scam.

I would have given this zero stars if I could.

I used to only use this for vet care and such. When they switched to the rewards card, I decided to use it as my main card. No more.
I paid off my balance of over $3000 recently. I had plenty of credit left. Since then I've made multiple payments as I go. However, for some reason my "available " credit is extremely low. I thought maybe there's a delay in applying the payment. It's been a week, it was done electronically and the money had been gone from my checking account for a while.
So I finally called to find out what was going on.

First, it's pure HELL to get through their bot, HELL. Finally I get a human on the phone and I'm told that the credit available is low due to payment so large (3K??) so it won't be available until September 1st. What a joke.

Needless to say, I'll be moving my auto bills on that card elsewhere, and stop using it. I've never had a card not apply payment within a couple business days and those payments were much larger.
I had no idea how crappy they, and their customer service is. Goodbye card credit. I won't use your card anymore.

I was not informed regarding the $200 minimum per charge in order to receive the no interest benefit for 6 months. My dentist provided my procedure over 2 visits in the same week and submitted separate charges of $197 for each visit that week. Over 5 months, I made payments that would pay the balance of the completed procedure in full. Unbeknown to me interest was being added each month so by the 5th month the balance was more than the final payment should have been. AND then when I paid the final amount in full on the 5th month I received an additional bill just for additional interest even though the full amount billed plus all the preceding interest had been paid in full early. When I called to discuss this Synchrony was very dismissive with no logical explanation especially for the final bill that was just for additional interest after the bill had already been paid in full. I am shredding this card. I do not trust this company to be honest or transparent.

Their website doesn't provide a link to dispute billing error. Instead, you are referred to FAQ library which erroneously states a bogus access link. Their live chat option is bogus, it refers you to FAQs. My problem: I have been enrolled in their paperless billing option from day one... several months now...yet, I am billed a paper billing statement each month for a statement that is never received... nor is a an eBill sent to my email address. Their website provides no links to resolve problems, instead extensive wordy descriptions of non-relevant information.

I recently used Care Credit to pay for the out of pocket portion of a surgery bill. That makes it much easier to plan my budget without paying interest. In the past, I've used it for lens implants after cataract surgery and a dental procedure. The MAIN thing I use it for is unexpected vet bills. It's awful to see a pet sick and have to count the days til payday to go to the vet. Care Credit eliminates that. I appreciate their zero-percent interest when paid within the time frame - saves me money. Customer service is always great. I also like their online portal. Unlike many companies, it's easy to see everything about your account and make any changes needed. A terrific benefit!

This credit card is a joke dont get it, they have screwed my credit up, i opened the card with a 5000 credit limit i used it, and then paid off within a year, then had another use for it so i used 5000 again then paid down half of it only too find out they decreased the credit to 2600 and reported to trans union that i was at 90% and they tagged my credit for 32 points. These guys dont care about ther people. So now i am gonna pay it off.

I had 3 transactions 2 were interest free and 1 was not. I paid off one of the interest free charges then I noticed I was being charged interest on the one that was not interest free. Nothing on the app shows that I have a balance on the charge. All of a sudden they charged interest. Tried calling and left on hold forever. Finally someone answered but wouldn’t do anything about it. I have 3 accounts with synchrony bank and I closed all three. Maybe they shouldn’t outsource customer service to a foreign country and let a real person who doesn’t read a script answer the phone. Lots of doctors and vets push care credit but there are better options out there.

Be aware!!! I have to call numerous times because they kept changing costs even when u pay on time for the promotion. I just advise EVERYONE be on top of your finances and promotion deals and balances with them because they are constantly “making mistakes”. I had to call three times in 1 month because I noticed they changed the price! If you don’t pay attention they will let it go and charge you more.

This place extorts steals and robs people blind and then they spend hours gaslighting you and patronizing you and when you call them out on their bullshit in their lies, they tell you they don’t wanna speak to you anymore because you’re not being polite. I’ve made my payment every month on time, but they reject my payment for some stupid reason that they can’t even explain and then charge me with late fees and then charge me a $75 fee on top of that late fee even though I made my payment on time and then when I asked how to close my account out he ran games around me and did not want to provide me that or provide me a number so that I could close my account out. I will never use this card and as soon as I can figure out how to do it, it will be closed. Shame on you CareCredit. All you do is play on poor innocent people trying to take care of their dog and you monopolized on it. Shame on you do better.

This company is a joke. I have yet to read one good review. These guys reached out to me when I had some teeth pulled and a partial made. They called me offering their 0% interest payments which I did with the condition that my payments were set up automatically to pull out the right amount to have my bill payed off in the time frame. Which the representative said she could do and did do. More than half of the term of the lone later , I decide to look at my bill statement and realize that i'm being charged the minimum payment. They are deceptive and dont do what they say they are going to. And I have to go to my bank to get them removed because they're tied directly to my back account not just my debt checking line. Do not do business with this place. And all of us who've been ripped off ned to get a class action lawsuit going...

I'm writing this as a PROVIDER. These guys messed up a patient transaction. I'm located in Encinitas. They made the transaction for a location in Los Angeles and they didn't even give me my funds.

I dont want to continue working with them. It isn't clients that are bothered-- providers also don't like em.

Do not do business with Care Credit because they are nothing more than a loan shark. I dealt in good faith and they are not even open to negotiating a fair and equitable way of repaying just added horrendous interest charges. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
