Pessima esperienza con carjet e carandgo ad Heraklion. Prenoto con carjet una vettura Ford Focus o similari.
Il mio volo a creta Heraklion arriva circa 1 ora di ritardo, arrivo al banco della compagnia CARANDGO e mi dicono che la prenotazione risulta cancellata perchè avrei dovuto chiamare prima (se il volo era in ritardo come faccio a chiamare dall'aereo?). La mia auto quindi non è più disponibile ma devo prenderne una di livello più basso a prezzo che è 5 volte quello prenotato su carjet.

Erano le 9 di sera con una bambina piccola ed ho dovuto accettare.

Inoltre è prevista una penale di 150 euro se la macchina è da pulire (basta un po' di sabbia e ti fanno pagare la penale) per cui sono costretto a dedicare mezza giornata di vacanza a portare la macchina al lavaggio e al rientro provano a farmi pagare dei graffi già presenti (per fortuna avevo fatto tutte le foto).
CARANDGO non è un rent car ma dei banditi!!!

Ajout de 70€ à l'arrivée pour ajout d'un conducteur parce que la carte de crédit était à mon nom et le conducteur principal était mon conjoint ... Ajout de 18€ parce que la caution était donné en carte de crédit et non en espèce (950€).
Véhicule propre et rien à signaler durant le séjour ( 1 semaine)
A la restitution, nous avions en amont passer l'aspirateur et le karcher sur le véhicule ... Lors du contrôle du véhicule même pas eu le temps de contrôle quoique ce soit que la nana s'est mise à genou pour regarder sous le pare choc où elle a vu un mini accrochage ... Avec mon conjoint nous étions dans l'incompréhension puisque nous avons pris soin du véhicule comme d'un enfant ... sans accident, choc ou quoique ce soit ... et là elle nous demande les photos prises du véhicule, mais forcément nous ne nous sommes pas mis à quatre pattes sous le véhicule pour prendre des photos... résultat de l'histoire 450€ à payer . J'étais comment dire Folle de rage! C'était clairement un coup monter ... heureusement pour moi j'avais pris l'assurance à la réservation nous avons donc tant bien que mal réussi à nous faire rembourser ! Mais je pense qu'ils vandalisent les véhicules exprès des clients qui font une souscription d'assurance pour se faire de l'argenl'argent... Une belle arnaque! FUYEZ!

Arrived at airport, the office was literally the furthest away, carrying large cases and a baby. When we finally made it up the huge hill, we was told we was unable to hire the car due to the credit card numbers being flat and not embossed!! We calmly tried explaining the UK does NOT issue these anymore, showing several other cards. The response was 'well other customers have new ones and they are raised/embossed' they offered another solution of holding cash as a deposit which was not something we could afford to do as it was like double what was initially agreed!!

I stupidly didn't read previous reviews which are the same. PLEASE PLEASE avoid at all costs.

Luckily we managed to hire another car from a family run firm just down from their office who took care of us and told us they repeatedly have customers in who have the same problem with car and go.

They make it difficult to find reviews as they hide behind CNG and not their name!
Just back from Crete and had trouble trying to collect a pre booked hire car through CarandGo. Booked online through DoYouItaly at a very cheap rate and also took out the full insurance. Upon arrival met by unfriendly attendant who processed all of the paperwork but then wouldn't accept our credit cards as the numbers were 'flat' not embossed, all cards are like it now! offered cash as a deposit but wouldn't accept it. to be fair their T's & C's do state embossed numbers but banks don't issue them any more? He did offer a solution., pay 10x more than the original rate and he would accept my credit card!!! needless to say we walked away and hired through another local company. BE WARY OF THIS CHEAP COMPANY, IT COULD COST YOU DEARLY!

Pessima esperienza, arrivati al botteghino quando hanno sentito che avevamo fatto una assicurazione a parte hanno cominciato a tergiversare poi quando è stata ora di pagare con la carta di credito non riuscivano ad effettuare la transazione dicevano che il pin era errato dopo alcuni tentativi mi dicono che il tempo per il ritiro era scaduto, clausola che non è presente sulla prenotazione, oltretutto dall'arrivo siamo andati direttamente al botteghino. nel frattempo telefonando alla banca mi confermavano che il pin era giusto. volevano offrirmi una vettura intestata al mio amico con la sua carta per 21 gg di affitto con assicurazione a 800 euro, abbiami optato per un'altra agenzia li vicino seat ibiza 21 gg assicurazione all inclusive con 2 guidatori a 500 euro e lì combinazione il pin era esatto, nel frattempo altri utenti stavano litigando al botteghino del CNG rentals.quindi la nostra caparra andata in fumo! pessima esperienza trattati malamente.

Pessima esperienza!!! Al nostro arrivo con molta arroganza volevano a tutti i costi rifarci pagare in contanti nonostante avessimo già pagato con la carta di credito utilizzando il servizio di prenotazione di Car jet. Dopo parecchia esitazione e minacce che il contratto con loro non sarebbe più stato valido accettano la carta di credito e colpo di scena... misteriosamente la carta di credito che avevo usato anche a bordo dell'aereo risulta avere il chip rotto con la punta di una penna. Io ero ancora in buona fede e acconsento di pagare in contanti 550 € di cui 200 € di caparra. Dopo che avevo già pagato e firmato mi aggiungono la clausola di portare la macchina perfettamente pulita a fronte di una penalità di 150 €. Sulla scheda del veicolo avevano scritto che era in condizioni eccellenti nonostante i vari graffi e ammaccature e problemi vari dovuti alla scarsa manutenzione. A questo punto dopo aver letto le recensioni negative da parte degli altri utenti ci siamo rivolti alla polizia che ci hanno aiutato a recuperare la caparra. Quando io gli ho detto che sono dei truffatori, quelli di Carandgo mi hanno risposto "questa è Creta!!" State alla larga e affidatevi a compagnie serie. Oltre a noi c'era un'altra coppia di Roma e stavano avendo gli stessi problemi. Una lode al Comandante della polizia e al suo collega che si sono schierati dalla nostra parte e hanno tutelato i nostri diritti!

I had booked a vehicle in advance and paid a deposit through your platform. Upon arrival, I provided all the required documents, including a valid credit card. However, the representative at the desk refused to release the vehicle because my credit card was not embossed, even though it was a legitimate credit card with sufficient funds.
Nowhere during the booking process was it clearly stated that an embossed card was mandatory. This detail should have been communicated transparently at the time of booking to avoid misunderstandings and inconvenience.
As a result, I was left without a car despite fulfilling all other requirements, which caused significant disruption to my travel plans.
in 5 minutes I managed to rent from a company near them with my non-embossed card and cheaper than at Carandgo and much better conditions. I'm sorry that there are such companies that simply make fun of their customers. First of all, there is no difference between an embossed and a non-embossed credit card.

Pessimo servizio. Non aggiungo altri commenti. Pura truffa. Noleggio auto in Grecia. Abbiamo chiamato polizia. Statene alla larga!

Bei Abholung eines gebuchten Polo (war am Parkplatz vorhanden) zum einem zugegeben sehr attraktiven Preis wollte man mir eine Zusatzversicherung anbieten. Da ich eine Vollkasko separat abgeschlossen hatte, wollte man mir schlussendlich einreden, dass ich nur eine Business Kreditkarte habe und nicht die alte, auslaufende Kreditkarte mit Magnetstreifentechnologie. Aufgrund dessen wollte man mir € 45 pro Tag der Miete verrechnen mit der Begründung, dass die € 1.000 auf der Kreditkarte als Sicherheitsreserve nicht blockiert werden können. Man wäre bereit gewesen, mir aus Kulanz € 35 statt € 45 anzubieten. So wäre die Miete teurer als bei seriösen Anbietern gekommen. Glücklicherweise war durch unsere Ankunft vormittags der Wechsel zu einem anderen Anbieter möglich. BestCars unweit vom Standort von Carandgo (100m unterhalb zurück Richtung Flughafen) ist hier wärmstens zu empfehlen. YANNIS hat innerhalb von 15 Minuten einen komplett neuen Citroën C3 aus dem Hut gezaubert. Hände weg von CARANDGO!!!!!! In Zusammenschau mit anderen Bewertungen war es im Nachhinein betrachtet ein großes Glück, dass ich rechtzeitig gewechselt habe. Ein Schaden an der Fahrertür hätte mich bei Carandgo garantiert € 1.000 gekostet. Bei BestCars war dies in der Vollkasko ohne Selbstbehalt inkludiert!

È andato storto che quando abbiamo preso la macchina ci è stato detto che la pulizia non era un problema, in realtà alla consegna per un granello di sabbia abbiamo pagato la penalty di 150 euro!!!!! E sembra sia proprio un must questa penalty, cioè veniva applicata a tutti quelli che stavano consegnando l'auto.

Wir haben einen Mietwagen bei CARANDGO über den Vermittler CarJet gebucht. Da wir nachts angekommen sind, haben wir vorher explizit darauf geachtet, dass eine Abholung außerhalb der Öffnungszeiten auch möglich ist (was bei CARANDGO gegen eine Servicegebühr eigentlich möglich ist). Wir haben bei der Buchung natürlich auch die Ankunftszeit und die Flugnummer angegeben. Zum Glück mussten wir vorab nur eine Anzahlung von 5€ leisten, denn bei Ankunft vor Ort war der Stand geschlossen und niemand da.
Auf den Telefonnummern, die wir bei Problemen anrufen sollten, war auch niemand zu erreichen (das Klingeln hat man im geschlossenen Stand gehört).
Zum Glück haben wir bei einem anderen Anbieter noch kurzfristig einen Mietwagen bekommen.
Finger Weg von CARANDGO! Hier gibt es deutlich bessere und zuverlässigere lokale Anbieter.

Rude, uncooperative and greedy. Please AVOID this company, there are so many other car hire outlets at Heraklion Airport.
Arriving out of hours we knew there would be a surcharge, so that wasn't a surprise, but the attitude of the staff was. Really aggressively rude and completely unhelpful. the car was much smaller in luggage capacity than we had ordered but we were told "It's similar - its all you get" the car had no fuel - response "there's plenty of filling stations"
Because we had prepaid an excess insurance so he couldn't sell us his policy he really got aggressive - "you better look after this car it is brand new"
When we returned the car in perfect condition except for road dust, he was dismissive "you are terrible, this car is dirty -you should have had it valeted before you bring it back in this state -terrible"
he then charged us 150 euros for cleaning, but did it cleverly - he returned our deposit in full but then charged the 150 as a separate transaction so it cannot be claimed for as it is not "damage"
We had two other car hirers in our party and they used different companies. Neither had a single comment about the fact that the cars were dusty. neither had any surcharges imposed, so my message is simple. Plenty of competition out there offering a much better service, so AVOID CARANDGO

The worst company I have ever rented from. I arrived at exactly 9pm to collect my car and someone else was being served about 4 minutes later I was asked if I had a booking. I confirmed that I did and the paperwork was taking. After dealing with his customer he then told me that I had to pay an additional €40 as I didn’t get there until after 9pm - no amount of arguing would change his mind. He then charged me €18 for paying by debit card even though the paperwork stated a charge was made for credit cards - basically they wanted cash!

On the return I was told that the inside of the car was dirty and the young lady lifted up the back mats to show me. I pointed out that there were only two of us and no-one had sat in the back so that was how the car was given to us! Again they wanted me to either clean the car or pay €150. Luckily we found an excellent car clean place and we hoovered the car and on doing so found a receipt from 3 weeks earlier, a cigarette butt (we do not smoke), sweet wrappers and a pair of glasses - so much for her being adamant that the car was clean when I had it!!

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but pay the fees they are telling you to. I booked through Carjet and I really think they need to reconsider who they partner with.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!
Our experience with them had been terrible and unjust at least!
First of all we had to pay many extras from the beginning, an extra because our plane landed late at night, an extra for the reservation and so on.
They gave us the wrong car, we had reserved a Renault Clio but they gave us a Toyota Yaris (no diesel) which we had found in terrible conditions, in fact we found it very hard to drive and unpractical for the purpose of our stay.
Once we got there they offered us a different plan from the one we had reserved which included an extra insurance to be extra sure, all cash.
We took photos of the car to avoid unpleasant surprises but being night they weren’t too clear, according to them.
When we brought back the vehicle they found “new” bumps and other damages (that were already there, but couldn’t be seen clearly in the photo according to them) so they didn’t give us our deposit back.
They attract tourists with their apparently low prices, but they are just SCAMMERS!
We ended paying about 600€ which is 6 times what we were expecting to pay.
Stay away from carandgo!

Outre la caution de 950 € bloquée et rendue un mois plus tard, la surprime de 60€ pour les conducteurs de plus de 64 ans ( écrit en petit sur la 2 ème page du contrat)
La pression pour prendre une police d'assurance pour 38€ par jour ...

Absolutely terrible company. Do not rent from them. They invent damage when you return the car to try and charge you for it. Then when you call them they literally yell at you over the phone and argue about the 'damages'. They didn't tell me where to drop the car off which meant 45 minutes of running around the airport trying to find where to leave it, and then complaints from them that the dust from the parking lot I had to drive through made the car "dirty."

Giant scam. Avoid at all costs.

I rented a car from carandgo which i thought would be a good idea as they were very cheap and when something appear to be to good it genrally is. Unfortunately i eventually found there rental office at heraklion airport. when i went to take the car i was informed that i would have to pay an extra 60 Euro per day because i was over 65, when i went to walk away they said i could pay 60 euro for the duration.
i collected a nice car with a few dents which i took photos off.
when i went to return the car i was hit with the full monty. the chap in the office checked the car over and as far as we were concerned everything was ok.
then he went straight to the front nearside of the car laid on his back and said that i had damaged the underside of the car, which was a total lie if i had damaged the car i would have put my hands up.
how he new this corner of the underside of the car would be damaged i don't know as he didn't inspect ant other corner.
the damage was very slight but i was informed there and then that it would cost 750 Euros to repair and i know that the work that need to be done would have cost around £200. they then said that the car was dirty and would charge me to clean it, once again the car had some dust on it only to be expected in crete (the roads are dusty) Anyway I can almost certainly guarantee you that the damage is still on the car and they have charged more than one person for it. i am fortunate that i was insured but it still grates when i know i didn't damage the car. I have hired cars abroad for more than 50 years and have never had an accident and every firm i have hired with have always been fare. all i can say is there are hundreds of car hire companies out there .DO NOT USE CARANDGO.

I rented a car from Car and go in Greece. When I picked it up, it was late at night and dark. Inspection of the car was around 9:15pm and it was dark.
I returned the car without having had any incident. However, they claimed there was a “dent on the lower side panel near the right wheel” — something I never saw or caused. It was likely pre-existing and obviously the person who gave us the car did not see it either!

I was forced to pay for this damage and told to claim it from my insurance. This is an extremely unfair and fraudulent practice, especially since no proper check-in inspection could be done.

Be very careful: take detailed daylight photos and videos of every inch of the car, especially underneath, or better: avoid this company altogether. Avoid renting in the middle of the night.

I’ve filed a complaint with my insurance and relevant European consumer protection agencies.

Vreselijk bedrijf, oude auto meegekregen met veel schade. Bij terugkomst verzinnen ze schade aan dak en onderkant van de auto. We zouden op het dak van de auto gesprongen hebben (2 vrouwen van 41 😂) Hiervoor claimen ze je borg en toevallig is de reparatie net zo duur als je borg. Reparaties worden natuurlijk nooit gedaan, daarom zien de auto’s er zo slecht uit.
Erg dat zulke bedrijven bestaan en je vertrouwen zo wordt geschaad. Zelf de fout gemaakt hier te boeken, want ben vergeten Trustpilot te lezen. NOOIT HIER BOEKEN dus!!!
