We’ve been using the Capture app to automatically regulate our battery schedules for our solar panel system for about two months now. Prior to using Capture, we had been manually adjusting the mode scheduler in our inverter’s Fox app to try and maximise our charging and discharging schedules based on weather forecasts and predicated usage but it is complicated and time consuming to keep an eye on this on a daily basis.

We found Capture AI needed a couple of weeks to learn about us but it now happily works away in the background, constantly changing schedules and reacting to our usage, the weather forecasts and actual levels of solar production to maximise our savings through battery management and import/export schedules. The ‘Capture Price’ shows the actual cost per kWh by day, week or month and we are currently sitting at -15p/kWh for April.

The app is intuitive and mostly laid out in clickable tiles with an easy to understand explanation written in plain English of what each tile is showing you.

The app suits those who want to have nothing to do with their solar system other than know that it is working but also people like us who like to keep a close eye on what’s being produced, exported and exactly how savings are being maximised through scheduling.

Customer service is exceptionally responsive and very easy to contact via the app.

The latest update shows tomorrows forecast for solar power and usage. Works well with my Octopus tarriffs and constantly checks and updates its plans during cheap rate tariff periods and real-time solar generation. Fantastic Company and App. Their help desk, Fahad is phenominal and proactive. Could not recommend more highly.

Amazing company, I love the app and have been using Capture since our panels and batteries were installed. The company are extremely helpful going above and beyond in their customer service. The app enables you to monitor so much including production, storage and use. The app information provides invaluable information to optimise battery added value. The company also provides guidance about supplier tariffs to assist customer choose the best tariff. Highly recommend.

I heard of capture put of the blue via my solar installer and I've been very happy with the results. The scheduling works well and Johannes and the team are very responsive to any questions I have including listening to feedback as they develop. I'm excited to see how it performa over summer and look forward to continuing improvements in the app.
If you're a tinkerer or techie but don't want to manage the automation yourself then this is a happy medium.

They contacted me out of the blue some time after I had solar installed, telling me my system was not optimised effectively. At first I was cautious, suspecting a scam, but their rep, Fahad, was responsive, helpful and courteous, and there was no charge. I hear Capture is a fledgling company. They deserve success and I wish them well

Capture is great it gives me real time data on the import and export of the energy from my solar pannels. Customer service team is absolutely first class, very helpful nothing too much trouble. Great service all round.

I have a solar PV system with batteries (Fox ESS). Before I used Capture to manage my system, I was constantly changing my charging times to ensure I charged my batteries at the lowest rates, especially in the winter months. Now I leave all this to Capture AI. It was simple to set up with Capture's support team. I can turn off Capture AI at any time if I feel the need to regain control of my system. The exciting new part is that they are looking to supply my local grid provider with excess electricity in peak times. (pilot phase)
I recommend using Capture as a peace of mind management of PV Solar systems with batteries

Having been somewhat bamboozled by the complexities around my FoxCloud2 app controlling my system of solar/batteries/heat-pump and some alarming anomolies around it's supoosed optimisation I turned to the Fox website that then listed their link and so endorsement of Capture AI. I pursued, had a helpful and informative Zoom meet with rep Fahad and very soon after all optimised to max efficiency.

I noticed an error and emailed the team, it actually turned out to be user error and I had not enabled the app correctly. The team was amazing and sorted it quickly and I was up and running. Saving money ......

Full marks for customer service. Extremely responsive and helpful. They manage my home battery much better than I ever did.

I have now increased my battery storage and Capture were very helpful in making sure their systems reflected the new capacity. Hopefully this will now enable more flexibility with the pilot scheme for supplying excess to the local grid supplier.

Capture are really trying to break the mould for energy management. I can't fault the responsiveness of their staff, or their willingness to engage with their community to further develop their offering.

I have been with Capture since the last week of July and so far it has been a positive experience, they are always friendly and quick to respond and look in to any support requests I have made such as changing the when/how the battery is charged now the weather is turning colder. They have managed my system very well which has enabled me to be able to just forget what they are doing except I like to keep an eye on what I am generating. Currently I don't have anything negative to say about either the app or company which is the complete opposite to the people that fitted my system.
I am also very interested in where they go in the future as I like the sound of where they are going.

I've been using Capture Energy to manage our battery system for six weeks or so. Whilst the app is new, so far its been very reliable, makes sensible choices about when to charge at off-peak rates and is saving money. The customer service is excellent, prompt responses and coherent answers. Highly recommended.
