Oh I see the light now I've been on trustpilot....the reviews are real on this platform with negative reviews seen in plain sight. Reviews on their own site are only for the good ones and bad ones are not shown,how surprisingly biased and selfish of them to hide the truth from the public. Please read all the reviews on here before you buy your holiday from canopy and stars because they only show what they want you to see and that's not the real truth!!!
SCAM COMPANY that has no intention of resolving,rectifying,refunding no matter what the circumstances. They will always find a way to wiggle out of ANYTHING!!!!

There is alot more I could write here,including all the conversations that I had with the owner at the time and with the so called management at canopy and stars but it would take forever,but please keep reading and trust what I've had to say because the company is absolutely dire,selfish,arrogant and no intention of helping anyone with any kind of complaint,please don't live to regret booking a holiday with them guys!!!!
I have lost a massive £1600 because they are not describing a FARM TRACK properly. Folks....This is a track like no other,one mile long with massive,wide,deep and water filled pot holes that are literally all over the track and absolutely not avoidable at all because the track isn't wide enough to move vehicle to the side,there are just so so many along this track,I'd say in the hundreds!! With extremely high tarmac bulging up in the middle. This is absolutely a disgusting track that they expect holiday makers to traverse too for their holidays...remember also that it's one mile long and your precious car is going to take the brutal damage you'd expect from this journey from hell.
The track is also unlit and it's total pitch darkness at night and you have even less chance of seeing how bad it is and avoiding it all as you are quite literally in the middle of knowhere.
We came here hoping to have a good stay with lots of day trips planned all over Cornwall which mentioned we would come and go in the region of 10-14 times up and down this apocalyptic track and completely ruin our beautiful precious Mercedes. I think not!!!!
Obviously they aren't interested in refunding me for not staying and willingly and knowingly buggering up my car. The description on their website is woeful woeful woeful indeed folks,and getting to the house is perilous at best and distressing and the worst anger I have ever felt in my life,at the worst!!!!
Please folks,don't risk your beautiful cars visiting this place as you will regret it deeply,my chrome running/side steps are having to be replaced and under inspection the underside of my car is dented and scratched and I have two slow punctures in my expensive tyres.
We videod the track to prove our point and they are still not interested in refunding me. The track is not fit for purpose and is not accurately described in the details on the website. They keep apologising that we are not happy,but it's hollow and not helpful when they know they are in the wrong but come up with anything they can in order to not give people their money back...this world revolves around MONEY and decency is definitely out the window.

Not one but two ill parents so no expensive trip away. Paid canopy and stars a small fortune & it's the usual of as soon as they have your money there not interested. They didn't want to know, won't answer the phone. Leave a voice message & they never get back to you! Absolutely disgusting behaviour, thieves basically!! Stay away if you want good customer service. I'm appalled crooks like these are still allowed to operate.

We had a great time at Halzephron in Cornwall. A fantastic location right in the coast and a short walk to the beach and local pub. The place was comfortable and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. A fab place.

This is our third visit to Downash Wood in Ticehurst and our first visit to Daisy Chain Cabin.
The cabin and furnishings are top quality, and the attention detail and cleanliness is a hundred percent.
The outdoor bath is a bonus, so relaxing watching the stars.
If your looking for a total relaxing break, I would highly recommend using Canopy and Stars, you won’t be disappointed.

Website hard to use.

Impossible to make an account, tried on two laptops, two phones and four emails. When making the account was met with a loading page which had no end. After, tried to log into the account and it would say email not in use, so tried to make an account again and it would say email linked to an account.

Web site seems perfectly easy to navigate. What is wrong with the writers of all these negative reviews? Show me any holiday company that would refund you under the circumstances described. That's what travel insurance is for.

Couldn't be happier.
Booked a couple of days in a beautiful cabin in Cornwall. The hardest part was deciding where to go with so many places to choose from.
I felt compelled to leave a review as in my opinion a lot of the 1 star reviews are extremely unfair.
We had a great experience with canopy and stars and the owners of the cabin. we are already planning our next trip.

This website is the worst I’ve came across in a while. The experience is awful and they’ve clearly not thought about the customer journey. I have a budget of £200 per night and want to travel in spring, but there are no filters for dates and price. Prices are indicated as “starting from” and when you select the dates it actually doubles, which is useless. So you have to look through 30 pages of places that don’t apply to you and you can’t afford, feeling miserable, hoping that you can find something. And after 3 hours, I’m drained.

All my bookings with C&S have gone fantastically and the places have always been quirky and delightful - a little slice of serenity. 4 stars because although C&S allow for last minute bookings, their hosts do not always seem geared up to take them - our last stay couldn’t provide any of their dinner hampers and we only found this out on arrival.

I booked a trip in November 2022 for May 2023, I cancelled it beginning of Feb due to a change in circumstances, before their 10 week deadline. The company has held the first payment £262.50 ever since and are refusing to refund it. The money has been completely wasted. No compassion from the company, I need this money back urgently. I have never experienced anything like it, I'm surprised this company is still in operation. With their level of customer service it likely wont be for long

This company was really awful when we had to travel to Canada to see my dying father the day before our Canopy and Stars trip. We emailed them as soon as we could, hoping to move dates at least or maybe have a credit for one of the nights we had booked, but no one was kind or helpful. I think the words, "I'm sorry to refer to the terms and conditions at a time like this, but if you refer here..." were actually used in their response. It sounds like this isn't an uncommon experience with them. They've got great marketing, but I wouldn't throw my money away with them again.

We booked a treehouse with company and unfortunately my son ended up in hospital a day before with ruptured appendicitis. Ended up in hospital

We contacted the company any asked if we could move our dates as no fault and even offered evidence of my son in hospital

They point blank refused refunds or transfers

I would not book again due to the poor compassionate nature of this company we have lost our holiday and our money

My partner and I have booked through Canopy & Stars on four different occasions over the past three years and each time we've had a brilliant stay! We've stayed in a variety of locations: once in Scotland, once in Cornwall and twice in Herefordshire, with the most recent being in July this year.

Booking has always been easy, information shared ahead of time and all the accommodation has been great. We love the options available, and how each stay is unique. We'll definitely be booking again!

Unfortunately, I was left very disappointed. The pods themselves were adorable visually and appeared to be snug, but the reality was that they were very damp and cold, with big gaps in the structure, requiring the fire on all the time to be comfortable.

The structure of the pod was made from thin plywood in a dome-like shape which meant that when it rained, even just a little, the noise was overwhelming. It was not a pleasant experience and made sleep very difficult; not ideal for a relaxing forest retreat.

My real complaint is that on the second night (29th July), there was a festival in the field opposite us with extremely loud music until the early hours of the morning (past 1 am). I had to phone 101 to complain, and we texted the owner to ask if there was alternative accommodation as it was unbearable. We did not get a moment’s sleep. All in all, it was a very disappointing experience. I am looking to arrange a refund for the second night as that was unacceptable.

Regretfully, I requested a refund for the second night's stay. It truly was awful to be stuck in a field with really loud music playing nearby in a wooden dome that, if anything, amplified the noise until very early in the morning. We booked for a peaceful experience. we received the exact opposite.

The request was denied.

it's unacceptable to sell an experience based on a peaceful, idyllic experience and to have to be subjected to that. the owner heard the music when we arrived ( as they set up and tested it). He assured us it was a "brass band". It clearly was not a brass band, and it makes me wonder that he knew what it was and lied to our faces on the first night. it is extremely dishonest and very worrying

We had a wonderful stay at The Corner House in Herefordshire. The most beautiful views from the house whilst soaking in the wood fired hot tub. We will most definitely be using Canopy and Stars again as we love the look of the places available to stay through their site and have had a great experience with them so far!

Extremely insensitive trying to cancel / rebook a holiday due to an extreme medical emergency. Insensitive communications and terrible options provided, all of which would cost more money.

Always high quality holiday lets with an off-grid twist, really good for finding unique staycations!

Complete lie, the photos allude that there is privacy offered by tree coverage and a wide space when in reality the hut is basically built on the road with wide windows showing you off to passers by, unsure how anyone would feel comfortable taking an outdoor shower or enjoying the hot tub here…. And the customer service is an absolute disgrace wouldn’t assist at all. £555 wasted on this property…. And I cancelled!

Please avoid Ffyone Bach, it is not the tranquil dream the website alludes to

Following the below feedback, I am yet to be shown any images that disprove the condition and location of the hut, they use”there’s a road that runs along the edge of the site” to get away with it, but I would consider the ‘site’ the field it’s located in, especially when the photos on the advert completely hide the road and appear the ‘site’ to be surrounded by reams of trees… the most disgusting company I’ve had the displeasure to deal with, it speaks volumes when 63% of the ratings are 1star
