Stay away from this company

Stay away from this company. I placed an order two months ago, on 7/11/25, and to date I have only received part of it. Every time I contact customer service, they say they cannot provide a specific delivery date. Absolutely awful customer service.

I wish I had of read the reviews before…

I wish I had of read the reviews before ordering 🤦‍♀️ items arrived damaged! When I emailed I was told oh yeah we ran out of boxes… so they just decided to send them wrapped in black shrink wrap. Then was I asked to return and get a replacement they said oh we don’t have anymore in stock!! Very poor service, just glad I didn’t buy a high value item!

Awful

Awful. Still awaiting a parcel 2 weeks after ordering and being told 1 to 3 days for delivery. I have had to contact them several times just for an update as they have sent me zero correspondence since taking my money. I am at this point potentially going to seek a full refund. I have never come across such a poor online service. AVOID!!!!

Booked an appointment for our baby…

Booked an appointment for our baby shopping as we are first time parents. Found the staff to be very helpful and they spent almost 2 hours showing us all the options for car seats and strollers. We ordered the Uppababy Vista with Cloud T and received our order within 2 weeks plus we got a Voucher back with purchase to use across the store, we are planning on picking our nursery furniture once our baby arrives as they definitely have the nicest selection of cots. Would 100% recommend based on our experience.

Avoid purchasing online from this…

Avoid purchasing online from this company . I ordered my buggy travel system through them in early June , which at the time was in stock online . I then was sent a small part of the order (car seat , adapters , etc) but no pram/stroller . When I emailed a few weeks later I was told “As previously mentioned” cybex were having extreme production delays . This was the first time this information was brought to me , they never informed me of this prior nor was it advertised when I ordered . I spent 10 weeks chasing this company for updates , to only receive long winded emails blaming cybex and that they “hoped” to be able to provide more info on an expected delivery date soon . In that entire time , this “date” was getting dragged out and dragged out , they had no definite answers or dates in all this time . I can not understand why I was able to order online at the time , it was not out of stock or available to pre order , it was in stock and took my money when they did not have the goods , or any idea when they were getting them in for an entire 10 weeks . I explained my baby is due so soon and I needed a refund as they couldn’t provide me with a date , that it seemed to be misleading/false advertisement on their behalf , they’re “reassurance” was telling me they were hoping to have it within “wiggle room” of my due date and they were adamant on the phone when I tried to cancel the order that I was getting my system NOWHERE else in the country as they’re all “in the same boat with the manufacturer” . I also received an email from them telling me “at least you have your car seat” , as this is “all I need to take my baby home” . I simply could not believe these wildly unprofessional and infuriating responses after weeks of delays . I expressed over and over both on the phone and by email that all I wanted and needed was my refund at this point , which they kept completely ignoring , they offered me loaner buggy’s , mix match systems they had in their warehouse and even shop displays . After 10 and a half weeks , this was their solution to my request for a refund after chasing them for updates and waiting . They continued with the long winded emails taking zero responsibility for the issue and the staff had a serious attitude problem on the phone . They simply would not accept their wrongs or acknowledge any of my concerns , having a dragged out smart reply to every single concern/call/ email I sent . I have never dealt with a company so unprofessional. They caused me serious undue stress while heavily pregnant . I eventually got an email from the “owner” of bygge bo to resolve the issue . When I addressed my concerns over her staffs attitude problems and horrendous customer service skills I was again met with challenging emails , instead of accepting their faults as a business , she was telling me what SHE thought her staff meant when they made some of their unprofessional remarks in the emails . I had adressed several times the severe undue stress they caused me . I had adressed several times that I never agreed to wait a long time , let alone over 10 weeks .I eventually got a partial refund which the owner was calling a “full refund” , as they would not take the car seat back for safety policy reasons , even though it was completely unopened and in the box how it arrived to me . She refused the FULL refund despite the fact that they sent only part of my order , which I was not at fault for . I took the partial refund because the stress it was causing me to continue dealing with them was not worth it . But honestly if you can save yourself the stress absolutely do , order from the reputable big names . After dealing with bygge bo I read into the reviews and could relate to almost all of the 1 star/poor reviews . It seems I am not the only one who had an awful experience with customer service . I thankfully was also able to order the same system and collect it 4 days later in a reputable shop, the same system bygge bo assured me on the phone I would have so much trouble sourcing if I cancelled my order with them . AVOID , AVOID , AVOID .

To avoid

Unfortunately, I have to echo the negative experiences mentioned below - announced backorder period of 4 weeks for a baby cot became 8 weeks. No proactive communication on the part of the company, each time had to ask and pester.

Recently purchased the Cybex libelle…

Recently purchased the Cybex libelle and adaptors which I later returned for a travel bag. I had to write a review to compliment the staff of Bygge Bo Sandyford. They were so prompt and so helpful. Thank you very much for a very positive shopping experience.

Definitely the worst experience I have…

Definitely the worst experience I have ever had when ordering something online. When I placed the order I was told that the product would be due within 4 weeks. After waiting for 5 weeks I had to chase the company to be told it would be 6 weeks. I then had to follow up with them continuously for an update and they would make the most bizarre excuses about the global shipping crisis and the pirates. I then asked where the product was being shipped from and I was told the UK!! The customer service team sends these long-winded essays which are excruciating to read. It took NINE WEEKS IN TOTAL for the cot to arrive!! Then to add insult to injury it was missing a number of screws which I had to wait well over a week to receive. Please don't use this company unless you want to pull your hair out and bang your head off the table.

Excellent

In store the service was great, informed and very friendly. Some of my products were on back order and I arranged a date to collect. However, my baby was arriving earlier than expected and when I phoned to see if there was any possibility of collecting earlier (and with very little notice from me) they went out of their way to accommodate my request.

Amazing experience

Amazing experience. Ordered the Cybex Libelle which had said a 5/6 week wait as needed to be ordered in but two weeks to the day it arrived. Was delivered within one day of the dispatch email. Girls are amazing, answered all my questions numerous times. Lovely to deal with. Highly recommend this store!

Terrible customer interface/service

Terrible customer interface/service - very unfriendly when collecting my order and it was not even there to collect - was made out to feel it was my fault - really unprofessional and disappointing. Had planned to browse more accessories for my order but wanted to leave straight after speaking with this person & didn't want to give any more business. Still waiting on my order and it’s been overdue after a substantial initial wait. No genuine apology given just a simple “our mistake” passing statement.

If I could rate a 0 star for this…

If I could rate a 0 star for this company, I would. It’s a shame that the products in this store is beautiful but customer service and delivery was terrible! I had to remind them to send my order after weeks of waiting and then there was another order where a wrong product sent across to me and it took another 2 weeks (still waiting) for them to send the correct product! The person who I have been dealing with is not exactly the most proactive either and have waited to pick up the wrong product before sending the correct order out, making excuses etc. I most definitely won’t be a returning customer. There are better Irish companies out there like Josh & Jenna and Bellababy. Much more trustworthy and efficient when it comes to customer service.

Terrible aftercare experience

Service in store was great at the time of purchase. But multiple mistakes with orders thereafter. Orders not being processed, no one aware of the order placed until mentioned and chased by myself, high end products coming damaged/broken, sebra cot and needed to be dismantled by us and changed, and still missing item that was ordered a few months ago a changing mat that was upsold to us instore.

Although customer service was polite, no reasonable solution given on any of the situations above. Lacked conflict and resolution training. Instead, the only solution was to buy more products from the store while awaiting the actual product.

Although I understand there can be a supplier issue on some products plenty of time has passed to come up with alternative or an agreeable solution. My contract of goods is with the store and the excuse was continuously someone elses issue (other suppliers) . Byggebo took no responsibility in rectifing the issues at hand or responsibility for the lack of management or processing the order correctly. Sebra sent a new part but again could not send someone with knowledge who could dismantle and put it back together. After spending such a large amount with the company I found the whole process extremely disappointing, frustrating, time consuming.

The aftercare was non existing and the fact that i was requested to purchase another product while awaiting the original one we ordered seemed to us not a good solution.

Poor customer service

The website changed my order without any warning because items were out of stock. I used the chat service to change the order but they ignored me and never responded. I send them an email explaining the situation and the obvious solution but they are absolutely not willing to help me in achieving the products I want and therefore they show to me that they are not professional and have a very poor customer service. I would like warn any new customers using their webstore because it’s not working properly and the customer service is not professional.
