I placed an order for carpet in March on the basis that it was advertised as in stock with a 2–3 day delivery timeframe. I had installation booked for 2.5 weeks later accordingly.

Shortly after payment, I was informed of a “slight delay” — which is where the issues began. From that point on, I received no proactive communication and had to repeatedly chase for updates myself. The delivery did not arrive within the revised timeframe, forcing me to reschedule fitting at additional cost.

I also provided clear delivery instructions in advance. Despite this, I later received last-minute notification of a delivery scheduled for the following day, with no reasonable notice. We rearranged our working day to be at home — only for the delivery not to arrive, again without any communication. After chasing yet again, I was told it would be delivered the next day.

Unable to rearrange our schedules a second time at such short notice, I relied on the previously provided instructions for the parcel to be left safely with a neighbour or in a secure location. Instead, it was left outside in an unsecured area. Unsurprisingly, the item was missing when we returned.

This entire situation has been extremely stressful and completely avoidable. I am heavily pregnant, and having to spend time searching for a missing delivery and contacting neighbours added unnecessary strain.

I have since contacted the company requesting a refund, as I no longer wish to proceed given the experience. I have received no response.

Overall, this has been a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience, marked by poor communication, failure to follow basic instructions, and a complete lack of accountability.

Cheap, quick delivery.

I bought herringbone carpet. The quality is outstanding, it’s the best carpet I’ve ever bought….and the cheapest. I’m so happy, the carpet was exactly as described and much more. It was a very smooth sale, easy to navigate website and fast delivery. 100% would recommend

I've used burts in 3 different houses now. The first being 10 years ago in my first home. I've bought different types of lino and carpet. I will never buy flooring elsewhere! Its so affordable and great quality and the customer service team are always so wonderful and polite.

I had ordered samples, only one had arrived. Called and they would send out the other which was the wrong carpet but the right colour.
Ordered carpet, called to let me know it would be dispatched that day and arrived within 3day. (Am in the highlands)
Overall staff were pleasant and helpful. I absolutely love my new stair carpet

The samples I ordered arrived with a few days, which was brilliant and I was able to choose what I wanted.

I ordered two rolls of vinyl for bedrooms (I have a cat who sometimes has accidents and another who scratches carpets). This is meant to be a temporary measure, but the flooring looks amazing! It’s foam backed, so comfortable under foot. The wood effect pattern looks brilliant and just as good as the more expensive click vinyl laid on the landing. The vinyl was delivered within three days and the quality is fantastic. I highly recommend.
