Burton Step On Swath - No Warranty Resolution!!
Bought Burton Step On Swath boots in April 2022. Needed a warranty repair/replacement as Imprint3 liner has worn out. They confirmed they have the boots but 2 weeks and no update despite many emails. Even advised them from their own website:
"How long will it take to evaluate my repair claim?
Our goal is to check in and evaluate your repair claim within 48 hours (Monday – Friday and excluding holidays) of receipt. Once we’ve evaluated your item we’ll contact you with next steps."
When you spend over £300 for a product you'd hope for a better customer support. Phone number doesn't work either. Jake would be pissed off having his customers treated like this.
Started off bad but ended well .......
Had quite a lot of hassle trying to get delivery of some binding and boots. After 2 no shows i chased UPS direct and was told they did not have the correct paperwork to clear customs. I ended up sending it to them. Annoying as should have been Burton doing this. That said, i had a smooth return as boot size was wrong and the re delivery was reasonably swift although again there was a no show the day the 1st 2 hour slot was given.
What has really impressed me was some email exchanges subsequent to the boot purchase with customer representative Chris H. He has been instrumental in helping me choose a new board. His knowledge and enthusiasm was 1st class and no pushy sales tactics.
Just be warned, if ordering to UK just be prepared UPS might say they are delivering but don`t show .... but you will get the order eventually.

Awesome travel backpack
Got my multipath 27l travel backpack in 2021 and it is the best backpack ever. Comfortable and lots of compartments, easy to open. Fits into cabin baggage.
It's been more than a year now, i've travelled with it a lot. Nothing is broken, everything is perfect. Recommend!
Best backpack brand!
Bought a Burton Treble Yell from a local shop here in Finland. The quality is great. The design is great. This is the second Burton backpack for my family. I dont know about customer support quality, products havent been broken yet. The sternum strap is super useful, it has become a must for me. I recommend Burton for everyone. Burton has become the go-to backpack for me. Thanks Burton!
High level of service and good quality products
Absolutely brilliant customer service and products. I did a larger order last week, it arrived within the delivery period given and all bar one item arrived in perfect condition, fit well and feels good quality.
Regarding the one item that was damaged in transit, I spoke with the Customer Service team and we managed to get it sorted quickly and hassle free.
I would highly recommend Burtons for their products and customer service.
Also want to mention that they got back to me via social media and the whole process was done though the platform.

Great bag, awful customer service
Absolutely loved the bag, awful customer service when something needed to be fixed on the bag.
Case opened in Jan 2022, case still open (28/03) and unresolved due to waiting weeks at a time for a response. Sometimes my emails are lost and sent to wrong departments.
Would not buy a bag again due to this service.
Product and warranty service
Update: the t shirt arrived...they asked for MY size in order to send the correct t shirt...and they send me an Men's S :)) like dude...i'm a girl and you can se that from my name:))
I bought a snowboard jacket and used it for 1 entire week and 2 weekend, and something broke..i said that it is not o problem...i can fix it because it has the warranty...i sent and email to the warranty departament, they told me that i can fix it and send them the receipted and they will return my money (they also told me that if i send the jacket back to them it will take a couple of weeks to be fixed). I've sent them the receipted and my revolut account...they told me it will take about 10 working days for my money to be returned...after 10 day i've send them another email..they told me that the refund was denied...and they can send me a t-shirt...or i can give them another bank account...i've decided to go for the t-shirt ...they told me it will take a few days until the t-shirt will arrive (when you buy a product they have a very fast delivery)...almost 2 weeks later...no t-shirt:))
they don't even bother to reply to the complains
they did the middle finger to me when i ask to activate the life time warrenty.
not enough their chinees parts break in un-normal places.

Is it just me or have their products gotten worse over the years? Have had several boards I need to replace.
Package arrived just as promised
I have always loved Burton products, for a few weeks of usage per year I am more than satisfied with its general value/price ratio.
In previous seasons I have rented their Burton Moto snowboard boots out twice and they were the best fit amongst them all. I decided to buy a pair online 2 weeks before we go skiing and I was worried because of these negative comments here on Trustpilot.
All I can say is I collected my package 3 days later in Hungary (meaning international delivery inside EU), it's a blessing given the current hectic situation.
Thank you Burton, I am in love with my new boots.
Lifetime Warranty is a lie
I bought snowboarding gloves a month ago, and after two days of normal riding (pistes, no accidents, no ice, or rocks, nothings extreme), the gloves showed clear signs of deterioration and actual holes formed where now snow can get in... again...after two days of normal riding. That's just bad quality hiding behind a big name. I claimed the warranty at burton.com because they "proudly offer lifetime warranty for accessories", and they said that my claim is not valid because the gloves are a model from an earlier production year. So what does lifetime warranty even mean?
They finally said I should go to the retailer to claim the warranty there so they could handle the claim directly with the retailer, and obviously the retailer sent me back directly to burton claiming that warantiy claims are overseen by the brand itself...
So this is just a mess of a company, it seems. Not being able to honor a "lifetime warranty claim" for 70 EUR gloves that are clearly faulty just makes the brand look like a joke. For all my troubles, they offered a 25% discount in their online store. To buy more trash? no thanks. Clearly this is a company that can spend massive amounts of money in marketing, but none in customer satisfaction.
Everything wrong with a small company gone global
Customer service at Burton is shambolic, deficient and needs a proper "customer first" review. I ordered and PAID FOR items INCLUDING TAXES which were shipped to the UK. Naturally the shipment was processed incorrectly by Burton and the only company worse than Burton is UPS. UPS insisted that £170 of import fees had to be paid before delivery and this is when the circus started.
Burton's UK customer service number is OUT OF SERVICE just like their attention to detail, eagerness to help and follow-up measures to ensure that their customers are inconvenienced as little as possible.
The most annoying thing is that the poor staff who man the phones get the abuse, but the issue is that Burton started as small, off-beat fad and became a global business and in the process disconnected with its advocates - like me and all their other customers who now have to face the unenviable task of cleaning up a mess of Burton's making. The customer service guy said there are multiple ongoing identical cases.
I have been a client of Burton from day 1 and still remember the early days of not being allowed on European ski lifts for being a snowboarder.
I WILL NEVER BUY OR ADVOCATE FOR THIS BRAND AGAIN

Wife ordered some snowboard boots. Website stated “all taxes and fees are included in the price” UPS delivered them and told me there was £106 worth of customs duty and VAT to be paid, but no customs paperwork?!
Wasn’t even aware they were being shipped from the EU! To top it off they are on the small side and probably need returning which will be a nightmare due to the customs issues I guess!
