Poor / no customer service

Once again, both Britline and CA Sourdeval Branch have excelled themselves to me as being unhelpful and inexperienced in customer service.
I won't bother explaining of my plight publically, though needless to say, if Britline are unable to provide the telephone number for BIPS (the international payment transfer service they actively promote) then customer service is in a truly sad state of affairs.

Don't bother engaging with me Britline, you had your chance to provide a customer service, however failed miserably.

Clym's advice was amazing

Clym's advice was amazing. He went over and above his role to advise me about the process to receive funds from the sale of a Paris apartment. Best customer service ever!

Impressive Service

We have been so impressed with the level of service Britline at Credit Agricole. They are incredibly responsive and have been able to support us the whole way through our journey of buying our first french property. I'm looking forward to be a long term customer of theirs. There was no way we would have been able to navigate the transfer of funds and home insurance with our limited french, so its amazing the quality of their staff, their english skills and being able to support our needs.

Helping me with the French bank…

Helping me with the French bank transaction her English was perfect lady was very knowledgeable. She knew exactly what I needed to do guided me through it with ease. The help I was given was amazing 10 out of 10.

They have got your back

Being able to build a relationship with one's business manager takes all the stress out of banking in France. Our contact Jane (and the rest of the team) are amazingly helpful and patient and resolve issues very quickly but are also critically proactive and understand one's needs and requirements. We cannot recommend Jane and the team more highly.

Excellent customer service again today…

Excellent customer service again today from Clym Cunnington. I was having difficulty accessing information on my account and Clym identified my difficulty and with clear instructions helped me step by step to help me complete what I needed to do. These services are definitely needed and a great help. Don't know what I would have done without this assistance. Thank you so much

Fantastic support from Britline when scammed.

I had a problem with an online order so I contacted my Britline contact to see if she could help. She quickly determined it was likely a scam and explained the process to follow as the insurance on my card covered this type of event. She helped me right through the process; I had to wait 30 days as per the insurance, put the claim through and the money was refunded within a few days. What fantastic service! She even showed me how to be more aware next time to avoid this type of scam.

Le service client de Britline s'est…

Le service client de Britline s'est dégradé au fil du temps. L'atout principal de Britline réside dans ses conseillers anglophones. Cependant, Britline étant une agence du Crédit Agricole Normandie, si vous ne résidez pas en Normandie, vous ne pouvez pas utiliser votre agence locale. Si vous progressez en français, utiliser Britline n'a aucun intérêt. J'ai envoyé un e-mail à mon conseiller cette semaine. Après une semaine d'attente, je reçois un message vocal m'indiquant qu'il est trop occupé pour répondre à mon e-mail et qu'il part en vacances aujourd'hui. Je dois donc l'appeler pour qu'il réponde à mes questions. J'attends au téléphone plus de 20 minutes. Mes questions ne sont pas anodines, car elles concernent des surinvestissements, pour lesquels la plupart des institutions financières feraient tout pour attirer mon attention.

Very professional service

My time in France has come to an end after 19 years, during this time I have been with Britline they looked after 2 property purchases and all of my every day needs. They are always very professional and exceptionally helpful. Very prompt in replying to any enquiries, if I ever need a French bank again I would definitely use Britline again.

Help and patience

A service for every financial organisation to copy

An extremely informative and friendly voice on the end of the phone. He talked me through setting up my online and phone banking in 15 mins and everything worked first time. Fluent in every nuance for a Brit living in the UK, managing a property in France. Thank you very much, can you do my UK banking too?!!

Outstanding professional service

Our time in France is coming to an end and we are closing down our accounts.
For the past 8 years we have been with Britline and experienced nothing but outstanding personal service.
UK banks need to take note of how Britline (part of Credit Agricole Normandie) treat their customers. They are how banking in the UK used to be - dealing with a person rather than a chatbot, providing clear information and an app that works seamlessly, statements issued on time, message service that actually works and above all a team on the ground who actually care and try to help.
Bravo Britline - we'll miss you (and I can't recall ever saying that about a bank !)
