Amazing consistent people centric…

Amazing consistent people centric service! Always friendly always helpful. As a former CEO of 2 UK banks famous for service, (first direct & The Yorkshire Building Society) they are up there in the same excellent level.

Great experience…

From start to finish our experience with Britback/Credit Agricole has been exemplary, the staff courteous and all the transactions in English. We would not hesitate to recomend Britback to any Brits going to live the French dream.

World class staff and service in every…

World class staff and service in every regard. All members have displayed exemplary patience, courtesy and product and procedure knowledge.The correct person is always available, and is never in a rush to conclude a matter in hand until the client, myself, feels confident that matters are satisfactorily concluded. I am always treated as a friend. Thoroughly recommended.

Always helpful

We have been with the bank for over 25 years and have found them to be reliable in money transfers, direct debit payments etc. We had our French house insured through them too and they were always helpful when we raised queries on the phone.

We have used Britline for 24 years

We have used Britline for 24 years. We came to live in France in 2016. The bank often went beyond expectations. Recently there have been changes and we now have an account manager, David. He has been very helpful and efficient. Today he helped very quickly and clearly with a payment issue. I recommend Britline toi Brits who want to experience France. Peter Mozelewski

Easy to set up, excellent service!

I’ve just bought a house in France and, as I work away a lot, I needed to set up a French bank account to allow for direct debits for my household bills.
The account was super easy to set up and I really like the app as well.
I had to have a phone call with an agent in the final stage and I spoke with Maria Celeste.
She was super nice and very helpful, she also gave me lots of helpful advice regarding insurance as well.
So far so good, takes a lot of pressure off those first few weeks when you seem to have a million things to do in a second language! Thanks MC 😊

Far away the best of 3 French banks, and probably UK banks too

After a poor experience with Banque Populaire then Barclays France, we banked with Britline (Cr Ag Normandie) for some 12 years while living in dept 47 and then reluctantly moving to UK in 2019. We've just closed the account as not needed. For the whole time, the staff were friendly, prompt to act and reply, helpful and diligent. And you can talk to someone on the phone, in either language. I only wish that British banks were up to their standard.

I moved my account from Credit Agricole…

I moved my account from Credit Agricole in the Ariege to the Britline branch in Normandie. The English speaking staff were always helpful and efficient and I would certainly recommend this bank to anyone who is not a fluent French speaker and needs abit of helpful advice and service! Thank you Britline.

Look no further for a great banking service...

Back in 2004 we moved to France and opened a bank account with a bank local to us. In fairness, they did their best to be helpful but as our French wasn’t very good and neither was their English, we were often left wondering if we had understood things correctly. Our house insurance and car insurance were with a separate broker and it was the same situation there. After a few years we moved from France and closed the accounts. In 2015 we purchased a holiday home in France. We had seen CA Britline (for those who wanted an English speaking, French bank) advertised through the internet and decided because of our previous experience with French banking, to open an account with them. What a good decision this was. No more wondering if we had understood things correctly and having all our insurances and bank account under one roof has been so much easier. They are quick to respond and over the years, all of the staff that we have communicated with have been knowledgeable and courteous. More recently we have dealt with Karen Donegan, when wanting to insure a second car. Another first-class service. If you are looking at opening a bank account in France and would like to use an English speaking-banking/insurance service, then open one with CA Britline Normandy, and hopefully like us, you will be pleased you did.

A 5 Star Britline Experience

The Britline staff were very friendly and efficient when dealing with my motor insurance queries, and subsequent acceptance of a policy, and also helping me with a problem I encountered setting up a new payee on my current account.
I would like to thank Sarah Wells and particularly Angelique WIRTH for her fast and efficient responses to my case.

Britline provides exemplary service…

We keep receiving exemplary service from Britline - responsive, knowledgeable and helpful. In particular, Diane Ogilvie has set the bar so high that I was compelled to email her and tell her that I wished other companies held their representatives to such high standards. I feel very comfortable adding this review to an earlier one I provided that was also complimentary but more general in nature.

Great customer service

I am very happy with the level of customer service, I have been receiving this year from Britline and more specifically from Angelique. I have emailed her many times about different issues ranging from buying a house to investments and her communication has always been very professional, fast and helpful. Thank you very much.

Exceptional customer service

Over the past 25 years I have had exceptional customer service from Britline, with both my bank account and my property insurance. Bilingual staff who genuinely try to be helpful. Angélique was particularly helpful to me today. Thank you.

Englishman in France

I'm English, but moved to France for my wife to be with her family (wife is French) but I struggled sooo much with the French bank my wife setup for me. All the app was in French (I don't speak French) and any problems I had, my wife needed to ring the bank, as mentioned I don't speak French. I'm now with Britline and the app is in English, super easy to use and looks really nice, and best of all my own personal bank advisor, David, is English and probably the nicest guy I've ever spoke too! All questions get answered right away! David is an absolute legend, a really top guy! I think the longest I ever waited on hold for my call to be answered was 2 minutes!! My wife spends 20 minutes waiting for her French bank advisor to answer, and he's ALWAYS rude and unhelpful, like my wife interupted him while eating his sandwhich or something "yeah what you want, why you ringing your bank". My wife now wants to bank with Britline as she likes David so much, so we're opening another account for her. She said she only wished David spoke French, to which David switched to speaking perfect French with her! I wish I could give these guys 6 stars! They deserve an extra star!!

A fully user-centred customer experience - such a good service :)

The team at Britline are probably one of the most helpful and expert that I’ve ever dealt with. You immediately get through to an actual person with expertise to help. Both Kelly and Fran who I’ve spoken with in the past have been able to solve my issues, they’ve done things like: helped me to better understand things like the French tax system, solve technical problems with the app, sort insurances and more - this wide ranging expertise is beyond any experience I’ve had with any other bank (or any other service in general!). Plus everyone is bilingual which hugely helps. I do speak French but did not learn about French tax and bills at school! So having people to call who can be that bridge to help - not so much with the direct translation of words as that I can do - but with the implication behind unfamiliar sentences is such a benefit.
I think it’s a fairly small team at Britline and it feels like a personal service that has been through a very good user-centred design process. Even small things in the interactions and processes feel like they have been thought about and well service designed. I can’t speak highly enough of them and want to say a huge thanks - teams in other businesses could learn a lot from them :)
