My son and his wife have just completed…

My son and his wife have just completed on his sale in Aldershot. He is currently living abroad and so the sale had to be managed remotely. I(his mother) interviewed several estate agents on their behalf and recommended Simon Kerry at Bridges to them mostly because I was comfortable with his experience and knowledge of the local area, and have been delighted with the choice. He managed the whole process with confidence and skill, a consummate professional despite both solicitors being not at all up to scratch and nearly scuppering the sale several times.I would highly recommend Bridges but particularly Simon. If not at the end of a phone he would always get back quickly, and worked with my son by email to make a potentially tricky transaction as smooth as it could be. Well done Simon.!

Please don't judge all branches the same way.

Despite reading disappointed reviews from some people's experience, our own experience of the very efficient and professional Bridges team at Farnham couldn't be more different. Alfie dealt with the sale of our property during the Covid shutdown which was an evolving difficult time anyway. He advised us on various optional services we could use, including online conveyancers who proved very quick and effective, organised a very professional visual tour for several websites, conducted viewings and quickly found a buyer. Fortunately the chain was fairly short but still problematical and Alfie went above and beyond on all occasions working tirelessly to help us think through our best options and even managing last minute delays with solicitors from behind the scenes - fantastic. It was a very stressful period, trying to achieve the government deadline of 31st March but Alfie calmly soothed our concerns, gave us confidence to stay the course and did everything he could to clear any holdups. Would highly recommend Alfie, Aaron and the very experienced Bridges team at Farnham.

Huge disappointment, big waste of time..

So me and my husband called Bridges to try and arrange a viewing, my husband spent almost 10 minutes on the phone to go through the registration process. The lady said we could go for the viewing also gave us date and time, then she said we would need to wait for a confirmation email. We never received any email. We eventually called the office the following day only to hear them say that we couldn't see the house since our house that is on the market is not under offer. They clearly consider showing a property to someone who's not in the position to buy "tomorrow" like a waste of time. My husband said "they lost a potential buyer cause if I am searching for a house and I see one I really fall in love with they cannot know if I can manage to find a way to buy it". Honestly this kind of service is not helping buyers or sellers. Maybe is just helping them to get less work to do. Such a shame.

Shocking experience

Shocking experience, went and viewed a property, put in our interest and received an email to state the offer was accepted, considering we are key workers, due to not being key workers in fleet we had to wait till the 21st of June, waited till then and we was told the property offer has been accepted, submitted all our documents and everything and with no contact from this agency other than me ringing back up and asking about paying the holding deposit, I was then contacted back to state the offer has been refused, originally when they had told us it was accepted we was told a moving in date of July 8th and that a moving co-ordinator would be contacting us, I’ve currently given my current landlord the notice period sooner thinking this property was confirmed. Little did I know this experience from this letting agency is they seem to mess you about and are very poor at the service they provide, I would rather consider looking elsewhere as they do mess you about quiet a lot and would prefer to see you homeless, the women on the phone seemed like she didn’t give a **** at all.

I would give a zero if it were an…

I would give a zero if it were an option! I phoned today to try and arrange a viewing of a property and after going through the motions of registering, I was then told that I could not proceed until I gave PROOF OF FUNDS! I was flabbergasted, never have I been asked for this having done several viewings this week. Bridges, you have lost yourselves a buyer and if I had a property on with you, I would seriously consider going elsewhere to sell it. You need to change your attitude and be a bit more professional!

Bridges Aldershot refuses to schedule viewings for potential buyers

This isn't for all Bridges branches , just the branch in Aldershot. Their agents have a bad habit of asking for proof of funds BEFORE THEY SCHEDULE A VIEWING. As in they refuse to give you a viewing unless you give them proof of funds. I totally understand proof of funds may be required after the buyer MAKES AN OFFER but I need a viewing before I put an offer right ???? No other Bridges branch asked for proof of funds before scheduling viewings which seems suspicious. If this is the general policy then why is not applied by all branches ? The director is also rude and ignorant. The Aldershot branch should be closed. I doubt the people trying to sell their houses are aware of this ... Instead of doing everything they can to sell properties, the Aldershot branch simply refuses to schedule viewings unless they get proof of funds. Some people might accept this but personally I will never look for houses from Bridges - Aldershot. And that's how you lose customers ;) and that's how you don't sell houses ;) If I was selling my house through Bridges Aldershot I'd be furious!! I recommend Romans , they are so nice and friendly.

If you value your privacy avoid

If you value your privacy and confidentiality do not use Bridges.

They managed to let someone in my street know they’d valued our house even though we hadn’t instructed them.

They then disclosed more personal information to a potential buyer - even though we opted not to use their services.

I have written apologies which they’re now denying, will let the ICO make their own mind up.

Their valuations are a joke as well!

Do yourself a favour steer well clear.

Superb service from start to finish…

Superb service from start to finish from this estate-agent based in Aldershot.
Purchased a new-build via them and was kept up to date at all times, right through to completion.
Very prompt and clear communication at all times. They went out of their way to help us with everything. Highly recommended.

I have recently had the pleasure of liaising with the lettings department at Bridges. Our tenant fell behind with their rent due to the pandemic. Bridges kept me posted and dealt with the tenant with great professionalism. They have negotiated a solution which keeps all parties happy. I would thoroughly recommend Bridges!

Excellent Service

I recently sold my property through Laura at Bridges. The service I've received from the Aldershot team was outstanding. I was in quite a complex chain, due to the dedication of the team all their hardwork paid off and we completed on time and i was able to move into my dream home. I received nothing but professional service and would highly recommend them.

Very poor experience

Very poor experience. We asked to view a property and were given the first appointment available. The day before the viewing we got an email saying the property was let yet we were apparently first in line. The company now refuses to contact us or to view any other property they advertise. Extremely unprofessional and the last thing you want in an estate agent. avoid!

Rude and Poor Customer Service

Rude and Poor customer Service! Call from estate agent to cancel viewing which was understandable given the property sprung a leak. Following a request to inquire about late a viewing such that I may attend after work I was advised in a rude and hurried tone that a genuine customer would make time to attend. Agent was keen to hang up despite my attempting to inquire about latest viewings that would be possible to accommodate.

"They"ll be p*s**d off with that" was the response to my cash offer

"They"ll be p*s**d off with that" was the response to the cash offer I made on behalf of my recently widowed mum. This was after "you're late!" when I viewed a second house directly after viewing the house mum bought. Had to prove funds existed before I could make an offer. Attitude totally changed from not being interested in giving me the time of day. Found Bridges to be unprofessional from the outset. You do not speak to a potential buyer as they did to me.
Mum sadly passed away 16 December.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE, reluctant to use to start with, only confirmed it

We did use Bridges for a purchase of a property recently. For few months we were contacted by phone in regards of updates etc., but when it came to actually being informed that the purchase fell through, that was done by email and not easy to reach over the phone when called back. How convenient and unprofessional. But, in general, I prefer honest estate agents, not many around.
Saying all that, thanks to Bridges and us loosing the first house, we found a much better property, estate agent was brilliant and transparent, easy communication, the whole purchase took 7 weeks from offer to completion (and that is including Christmas break), so could not be happier. And - the other property - still hasn't been completed on, so I guess karma.

Great Service from Dale and his team in…

Great Service from Dale and his team in Fleet. Bridges took our property on to the market and sold it in a matter of days and achieved the price we wanted. Took great photos and communicated throughout the process regarding viewings, all of which where accompanied. We received feedback on the same day or the next morning.
Once the sale was agreed, we had assistance from Kevin who was a pleasure to deal with, and supplied regular updates via email and phone. We purchased our current house through Bridges, and it was a 'no brainer' to use them when it came to selling. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend their services to our friends and family. Thanks TEAM Fleet! Its been a pleasure, from two very happy customers busy packing!
