Whenever I go there for anything to do…

Whenever I go there for anything to do with my eyes I've never been misinformed or mislead. The staff have always been polite and happy in their job and it's a pleasure not a chore to go there.

OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Went in with a real emergency my spectacles had a broken arm. Nicole dealt with me in a calm professional manner and I was in and out in ten minutes completely satisfie.No drama no fuss just calm service from someone clearly on top her game. A pleasure to deal with and clearly knows her stuff,cannot praise her enough.Well done keep up the good work best wishes and highest regards Paul Williamson

Great optical services.

I have been going to this Boots opticians for probably about 45-50 years. Have serious eye conditions so they almost need a filing cabinet for my notes. Must say the optician I have seen for the past 3 or 4 years Kuda is marvellous.very efficient, friendly and remembers me from my last appointment. I always ask for her and am delighted she is still there and have recommended others to her. The staff at the shop are very helpful and I have received very good service 8in the past for contact lenses and glasses and now for glasses. The only very minor criticism is that after coming home from my appointment yesterday I received a letter from the central Boots office saying my eye appointment was due!! A bit of a waste of money. However delighted with the Dartford branch and really helps to have continuity with the same opticians when I go for my annual check.

Much better than my previous opticians

Much better than my previous opticians. First eye test after lens replacement. Friendly and efficient staff, advice given and referral to NHS for treatment for PCO which can be normal after lens replacement. I will certainly be staying with Boots for future eye tests.

Ordered my contacts and paid to be…

Ordered my contacts and paid to be delivered to my home address, received an email to say these had been delivered. They were no where to be found.
I called the number on my order/dispatch email, the person I spoke to was so unhelpful and quite frankly didn’t give a toss. Told me she couldn’t track them or tell me where they were and fobbed me off to the store (over an hour away)
Luckily they traced them and found they’d been delivered to the branch by mistake. Had to travel to the branch to collect.
Not only that I sent an email off the same day it has taken them 2 weeks to respond. I wouldn’t recommend based on this experience I will probably try a different company next time left feeling very disappointed.

Excellent Opticians

I am a long standing customer of Oxford Boots Opticians. They provide excellent service, from the eye test by David to the fitting of glasses by Helen. The store is very well run and managed by Sharon. All the staff here take great care, and as a customer I feel that my eyesight is properly looked after here.

Very professional…

The optician had a very professional approach and was clear in explaining results and giving advice.
The optician named La who arranged the prescription was excellent, very professional and customer oriented. Under stood my requirements, gave very good advice, and was very informative whilst helping to choose new spectacle frame.
I would give her a 5 star plus.

Excellent customer care

Very helpful throughout.
Customer care was excellent.
Carly helped me pick what verifocals was best for my needs. The measurements were spot on. Everything was in focus when I collected my glasses.
Nothing felt rushed.

Rude staff ruined what would easily be 5 stars

You have a very rude staff member who I want to complain about her name is Manala. I was so incensed during my visit that I asked for a manager on the day there was none available. Everyone else was wonderful and I actually really like going to the store in Wimbledon for that reason. Patricia was lovely, Dr Sandiford was lovely it actually highlighted how awful Manala was. I was only there for a routine check up, it was a nice day outside I have no reason to get into it with anyone. Manala was combative and worse did not take accountability when I told her I did not appreciate how she was speaking to me. Then she tried to invalidate what i was saying to her by saying no one has ever told her that before. Her colleagues apologised for her but that in itself is a major red flag. This kind of behaviour must not be enabled.

REFUSES TO GIVE YOU YOUR DATA/PD

AVOID UNLESS YOU DEFINITELY WANT *ONLY* THEIR FRAMES! Refuses to give out your PD Pupil Distance measurements so you cannot buy glasses anywhere except here. I've now put in a SAR and a complaint and copied in the ICO as they are withholding data about my own body! They will also hound you with reminders and refuse to stop, again in breach of GDPR.

CARMARTHEN store re glasses.

Ordered glasses at CARMARTHEN and asked at time do I need to make appointment to collect and told no. Phoned to check if glasses had arrived when confirmed they had arrived I said will call now to collect. Told I had to make appointment! Called today to make appointment told just come and collect. I called 16:50 and store all locked up
Sign on door said showed closing hours 5pm. Do you realise all your staff ate leaving early??

Please mail my glasses to me as I am not making another 45 minute one way journey, petrol is far too expensive for wasted journeys. Diabolical service

Pleasant and helpful problem-solving

I went in with a slightly off-the-wall request - I wanted to mix the lenses from two pairs of reading glasses - and the staff were really helpful in trying to solve the problem (not easy as the lenses were extremely hard to pop out). A shout-out to Matt Dunnett for his kindness and patience, making it possible for me to see my phone while away at my conference tomorrow!
