Shocking service. Taxi was late to collect my 16 year old son & friends from a party. They were left waiting outside for over 45 mins, despite being constantly told the taxi was 5 mins away. The taxi was booked 3 hours in advance of pick up time. Avoid. Terrible & unreliable.
Booked a cab for airport drop off and despatch told me 10-15 minutes. After two follow up calls when I was told 5 mins and 3 mins, the cab finally arrived 30 mins from the original call. The driver had just been given the job. I missed my flight and it’s cost me £250. They were extremely unhelpful and unwilling to deal with this. DO NOT USE THIS FIRM.
Awful service. There were 9 of us (4 children, 1 baby) waiting for our Pre booked taxis at 2am from Gatwick and after a long time waiting in the cold, they sent us 3 taxis instead of the 2 that we originally arranged. This is not a pre-booking service, pre-booking means you shouldn't have to wait for them to arrive to pick you up. And we didn't appreciate having to pay for a 3rd taxi as we were supposed to have 1 car and a 7 seater. Also, one of the drivers was surprised to see we had luggage with us after we spent a week in turkey - very odd.

Rang as we landed after a 10 hour flight, and told to call back when we had our luggage which we did. We were told to go to the taxi stands outside, where we had previously been dropped and were given details of the car and told it wouldn’t be long. After waiting 20 minutes we called back to be told “he had now got another fare and we would have to call the office”. Absolutely appalling service and they had been recommended by the hotel we had stayed at near Gatwick!!
These are con cabs, do not use! We had booked our cab hours in advance but it was 22 mins late, our journey was 3 mins and they charged us £15 saying it was an out of town charge. As i said con cabs.
Despite having booked a taxi several hours beforehand, it failed to turn up at the required time of 10.30 pm. Phoned at 11pm to be told that no taxis were available but they would “do their best to get one!After another call, the taxis finally. Turned up at 11.40, over an hour late,
I just tried to book a taxi for early in the morning for a week's time, only to be told that I would have to ring the day before, because they didn't know whether they would have drivers.
Isn't that the purpose of booking in advance, so they can make sure they have a driver?
I tried to book a taxi with them a few weeks ago and they said they had no drivers.
Evo took over from District Cars at Couldson South station a few years ago. District Cars were excellent, but their replacement is awful.
I will never even try to book another car with Evo. Not worth the aggro.
Thursday 8th February - I booked an EVO car to pick me up from home at 19.15 to deliver me to a local social club. I phoned in the booking an hour in advance and the booking was accepted.
The taxi did not arrive at 19.15, nor did I get a text to say the driver was on his way. I got a battery of evasions when I rang to complain, and a car eventually turned up at 19.32. It parked halfway down my street, not outside my house, so I had to walk about 60 yards in the rain to get to it. Wonderful experience.
I booked a taxi and paid on the app. i get in the taxi, get to my house and the driver says the money hasn’t come through and needs me to pay again. i obviously check my payments and the moneys gone, the app still says it’s been paid for. i refuse to pay again. the driver calls a number and the man in the phone says the payment hasn’t gone through (who is this man?), he says if i had money another £7 wouldn’t matter and that it must be an issue bc i don’t have the money ? as i say i’m not paying again, they bar my number and bar my address as well 🫶🏽
Still waiting for a refund from a fraudulent transaction from them. The driver could not find our property to pick us up and after 20 minutes of trying to find the address he refused to get us. Charged £14 later that day. Have been trying to get a refund from them for 2 weeks and they still haven’t sorted it! Absolutely disgusting way to treat customers.
Prebooked a taxi from the airport & when I arrived I had to call then and then they sent the car - took 20 minutes. I pre-booked so I wouldn't have to be waiting so late at night. I did not feel the driver was safe and asked him to slow down; he was doing 65mph along narrow country lanes in the dark. Not a great experience and I won't be using them again.
The driver turned up on time. It was a very pleasant car clean, and he drove very well. Got to my destination on time.. The fare was at a reasonable price. The driver was very friendly and professional.

I have only tried to book with this company and downloaded the app. All looks very professional on the surface.
HOWEVER, I tried to amend my booking to include a separate pickup.
Neither the app or the website will allow me to change or cancel the bookings I have made. I will wait to hear from the company.
Also i wanted to prebook for a date later in September using the app and it would not allow a date past the 2nd of September.
Hence I have lost confidence and wasted time with this company.
As a sidenote, there are only two of us who have reviewed this company and given it a one star rating, so how come it’s got 3.2 on trust pilot I’m beginning to wonder whether the trust pilot is flawed?

Whilst the EVO drivers are always great, prompt & reliable, I can only justify 1 star on this occasion because of the customer service / follow-up / administration.
I have used EVO / Roadrunners (in the East Grinstead / Crawley areas) for many years.
Last week, I pre-booked a “£25 Fixed Price” fare on the EVO app from Gatwick North to East Grinstead. When I got home, I found that I was invoiced for £30. Weather & traffic conditions were normal, so there was no justification for the increase and I tipped the driver separately. Anyway, a fixed price should be just that – a fixed price!
The e-mail address on the website (customerservice@bookevo) does not work and no-one responds to e-mails on the other one (bookings@bookevo). Also, they do not reply to their online form either, so I had to telephone (01293 888888) to get my refund – there was no explanation and no apology.
