Made a warranty claim to replace a faulty tool, but they responded saying they define their tools as consumables and do not cover it in their warranty. Very disappointing and disengenuous to do this to weasel out of replacing a relatively cheap part.

Their machines also claim to heat the water but they do not.

I had a very poor experience with this company. I was sent the wrong product, which they collected back on 22/08/2022, but I never received the correct item as promised. First, I was assured it would be delivered last week — nothing arrived. Then I was told I’d receive it today, but no tracking details were provided and, once again, nothing was delivered.

It’s extremely frustrating to have to constantly chase a company for basic communication about an order. For a business that claims to be reputable, this level of service is highly unprofessional and deeply disappointing

Absolutely dreadful experience with support. Product developed a fault within warranty and was sent back to Bissell for repair. I have now been without my unit for 3 months. Support are saying they are going to send a new one to me but that was 2 weeks ago and they are still telling me they have no update. I have been forced to purchase a new one and get Trading Standards involved.

We purchased a Bissell SpotClean along with a large supply of their official cleaning solution, expecting a reliable product. Despite very minimal use, the main hose snapped and broke beyond repair — leaving the entire unit completely unusable. Clearly not fit for purpose.

When we reached out to customer service for a repair or replacement, we were flatly refused. We even escalated to the CEO/Director, yet received no response whatsoever.

Extremely disappointed. For a company that markets itself as reputable, we expected a fair and reasonable resolution — instead, we were left with silence and a broken product. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Bissell and would strongly advise others to avoid.

I have had a couple of vax carpet cleaners and was not happy with them at all and was told when they band broke it was not replaceable so ended up throwing them away. I decided to try a bissell and they are absolutely brilliant no downsides at all

Purchased this cleaner and it stopped spraying and picking up. Bissel would not collect the machine to repair and suggested I pay for it to be shipped. I managed to get their previous repair centre Repair me to arrange collection, this was sent and delivered back by DPD on two occasions with damage and the box ripped opened. All photo evidence submitted and still no resolution. Tried to complain about the customer services and have not been able to raise this despite numerous attempts, emails and calls requesting this. Customer services are often rude and give conflicting information. Definitely would avoid any purchase of Bissel products just based on how their customer service responds to dealing with issues and not allowing complaints to be made.

Absolutely appalling customer service experience Bissel hydrosteam leaked as have others I read about. I have been told they have lost the cleaner and now suppose to be sending a new machine however the machine has not even been dispatched after 5 days there is no communication between the warehouse and the customer services. We have come to the point now that we will need a new carpet (the one we needed the cleaner for and told it would be back with us in 10 days). 4 weeks later and still nothing. An official complaint has gone in just now with regards to breach of consumer rights and sales contract. Really disgusted as we had a previous positive experience with Bissel but seems the company has gone downhill and not trusted. There is another trustpilot review page where they rate at only 1.4 and lots of similar complaints to this

I purchased an upright carpet cleaner online from Bisselldirect in June but the transaction did not appear to be processed and I received no confirmation of order or order number from Bisselldirect and the product was never dispatched. I tried to contact their customer service department several times to query this transaction but no-one answered my calls. I then filled in an online form which I emailed to customer service, no reply . I then sent another email direct to customer services which was replied to, in which they apologised for their poor customer service and assured me that the transaction had been cancelled. It hadn’t, the transaction was charged to my credit card. The company ignored 3 further emails from me about this transaction so I was forced to initiate a chargeback from my credit card company to get my money back. My advice, do not buy from Bisselldirect ! Products may be great, but customer service falls well short!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Machine broke within just a year of having it. Luckily had 6 years warranty. Well I thought it was lucky. 2 weeks now and im still trying to get the item returned for repair. Awful customer service. A certain man who thinks he can speak like crap to women. Communication is poor when trying to email. Finally after speaking to 3!! People got a return generated but they only sent a label that I had to print. Not everyone has access to a printer. Stated I needed a qr code generated and still hasnt been done. First told there was one, sent evidence it wasn't sent to me and have had to reply since. The customer service alone has put me off buying any bissell products in the future.

Carpet cleaner arrived broken. Piece of plastic had broken off. Reported immediately. Was told cleaner had been discontinued. Almost two weeks later I'm still waiting for my refund.

Bissell.co.uk are a questionable company. I received an order acknowledgment email and then nothing further after I requested to cancel (due to a delay with dispatching my order). Bissell did not acknowledge my cancellation request, nor did they advise me when dispatching the order (leaving this messaging to the carrier). Bissell did not advise me when recalling the order (whilst in transit), nor did they update me on the status of the recall or any intent to process a refund. Thankfully, I paid via PayPal who provided a full refund after 2 weeks of Bissell essentially going radio silent on this order and disputed payment. I understand Bissell engineer desirable products (hundreds of reviews support this), but good luck contacting them if you encounter a problem, and do not expect them to care about your business. If you really desire a ‘Bissell’ then purchase from your local Argos and avoid buying direct.

As many have mentioned, it's good when it works. Bought a ProHeat 2x Revolution Pet Pro on 30 Oct 2024 and the brush rolls stopped working last week. Contacted customer service and they claimed that emails will be processed within 1 business day. So far, still nothing from them.

Well, I rented a Bissell machine from Lowe’s for 48 hours, I was 28 minutes from dropping off the machine. Lowe’s customer service agent said they cannot give me a courtesy for being 28 minutes later because it’s through a 3rd party. I called Bissell, Bissell customer service again couldn’t find the rental underneath my gf’s phone number or my her card, interesting. I told this customer service agent on Bissell that I purchased from Lowe’s 4 times and she finally said “oh,” the hung up the phone on me. Called back 20 minutes later, still calm, I got transferred to their “manager” and said they couldn’t do any refund for the day until Monday hits because that’s when the corporate office is in, which is fine, but the whole customer service in general is very very bad. Kept transferring calls, kept saying the same thing, but never using this company again because of it. 28 minutes late on a 48 hour period, I got charged $43.99 with no reimbursement.

Recently purchased the Bissell Natural Sweep. The sweeper itself works well, but the problem is the 'screw together' handle. The threads are very poorly cut, to the point of nearly not being 'a thread', the ends of the 'threeded' tubes are burred over making it very difficult to start the 'thread' and join the four sections together. Fortunately, I have some small files, and was able to remove the burr and start the 'thread'. Unfortunately, the threads are so poor the handle falls apart during use. I have solved the poor quality handle sections by fixing self tapper screws into each section to prevent them from falling apart.
I would ask Bissell's quality control team to randomly section some Natural Sweep products from their stock, and try to assemble the handles. Then, go and sack the quality control person in China!

Proheat 2X Revolution Pet Pro is easily the worst expensive product I’ve bought. Hasnt worked properly from day one and customer service non existent. As the recent negative review states all it does is saturate the carpet and picks nothing up as far as excess moisture. Might as well throw a bucket of soapy water as would be just as effective. I wish I had listened to my wife and bought Bissells biggest competitor cleaner, would have saved me a few quid and one of my eardrums from the wife blaming me for buying junk. Avoid this product at all costs as it does not do as it states on the box and simply not fit for purpose.

Rubbish, customer services… I wanted to raise a complaint against the BISSELL Crosswave. The product is not useable, smells, leaks wayer everywhwre. There is not a good system where I can go return the product or even raise or get help. Tried getting in touch multiple times. But the process is so time consuming, and stressful. Please can I raise a complaint. This product is such an expensive product, but the aftercare is useless, wanted to purchase another Crosswave for my mom but having to deal with issue for over some months has left me disappointed in this company and their products. Whenever you turn the cross wave on it stinks the whole house with foul smell which doesn’t go away and water which leaks.

Brought a crosswave hydrosteam direct from Bissell website 2 months ago already broken inside. Called Customer Service twice on the Sunday and requested a call back... nothing. Sent an email Monday, no response. Sent another one Tuesday still nothing. Wednesday called only to be told I have to send it back and it will be assessed for repair. Said I want a replacement not a repair, told I can't and also I can't have my money back because it is passed 30 days! I would not recommend buying direct. I knew I should have gone to Curry's!

BISSELL products are not durable. Its cable damaged after two years. Its parts are flimsy. BISSELL deleted customers’ negative comments and experience on its social.

Just used my carpet cleaner out of this world cleaned the carpets like they were new again would highly recommend this product

Five years to the day I bought it it finally gave up the ghost. Costs more to fix it so had to get another. That said, I have got another because it is a fantastic piece of kit especially when we have numerous dogs and a fully carpeted house.
