WARNING! WE WERE RIPPED OFF AND THEN PHYSICALLY ASSAULTED BY SALES GIRL.
This company will rip you off. We were approached by a sales girl in front of the train station. She was extremely aggressive. We were holding a brochure to a different company and when that salesperson mentioned we might be looking for him, she angrily snapped at him and blocked his way to reach us. That should have been first clue.
We told her we had just a few hours in the city and needed a 1 Day Pass on just one line. She acted like she didn’t speak English and we were making attempts to communicate what we needed (we learned later she spoke perfect English). She was telling us there was only one package available and we would point to the price list on her clipboard for the 1 DAY PASS. She nodded as though she understood. We completed the transaction and paid with credit card.
As we were waiting for the bus we noticed others had a different looking ticket. We then saw she sold us a 2 Day pass with a river cruise. We turned around within minutes of making the sale with her and asked for her to cancel it and give us the 1 Day pass. She aggressively began arguing that we asked for the 2 day pass, which we never did. She claimed she was not able to refund our money and began waving her hand as though to say “get out of here”. She then walked away. We followed her telling her we wanted our money back. By that time we were both shouting with her claiming my husband changed his mind while I was taking photos and asked for the 2 day. That’s ridiculous. We only had 1 day in Budapest. My husband would never have asked for the 2 day. She was lying.
The other bus salespeople came over and began arguing with her to refund our money and give us the 1 day. Two other bus company employees were helping us and she pushed one of them. He was on his cellphone calling the police. He gave us directions to Big Bus main office and told us to go there to get our money back. I asked the girl for her name and she refused to give it to me, so I tried to snap her photo. She grabbed my phone out of my hand and threw it down.
The bus arrived and we lined up to get on it to go to their office. As I was in line she ran up behind me and slugged me in the back and ran off down the street. We arrived at the office and we were put on the phone with the president of the company. He claimed he was not able to refund our money for 5 days. He gave us tix for a tram to take us to the top of Castle Hill. We felt we had no choice, but to take them.
We DO NOT recommend you use this company. They will cheat you and rip you off. Use any other company, but this one. We will never use Big Bus anywhere in the world now.

Excellent way to see a city that you don’t know. We used in Budapest and Vienna. Might be better if buses ran in both directions!

The Big Bus Tour provides a tour around Budapest allowing you to Hop On or Off to explore the sites and interests in detail. We purchased the 3 day deluxe package and took advantage of the Danube river sightseeing tour, which we took at night to enjoy the lights. All the Big Bus Tour personnel were helpful whatever stop we were at. We also used the Buda Castle shuttle to get up the hill and tour around some of the Buda sights. We only wish the Tour had more buses like some of the other tours because we had to wait at times for the buses to arrive at the stops while it seemed like other companies had buses arriving earlier and more frequently.

Not on point and they change the schedule without any information 😡😡( 01/20/2019 the last bus should leave heroes square at 18:00 but they canceled and we had to come back by taxi)

The buses were clean, the information provided was very interesting and informative.

We took the 3 day pass. The first 2 days were fine. However on the 3rd day we waited 40 minutes without any bus arriving and ended up walking to our destination.

It was amazing! A must to have a easy going holiday. Plus they provide sooo many discount voucher that you get back more than you spend.

Great way to see your city in the tourist eyes

It was good. It was a useful service to use as we only had a day and it gave us the opportunity to see more things. Buses were frequent and took you to main stops. Bit pricey as Vienna had more stops yet didn’t cost much more than Budapest. Some stops were close together which could have been walkable. I’m unsure if there is a way to recycle earphones, but there should be an option, or a more clear one because I missed it and feel like I’m wasting these earphones.

We had a three day stopover in Budapest whilst on a Danube river cruise. Booked a 48 hr Premium Ticket online with 10% discount. First day took the included 1 1/2 hr walking tour. Our guide was Christina & she was superb. Explained the city’s architecture & the country’s history. Not to be missed. Also the 75 minute boat tour which was disappointing with the recorded commentary not alighned with where we actually were.
Following day did nearly two circuits on the red route & also went to the Citadel on the blue route. Gaps between buses seemed to be much longer than for the other HOHO companies. Returning from the Citadel we had to wait 45 mins.

Very good option to see touristic attraction!

Since we had just a couple of days in Budapest BigBusTours were an excellent help in sightseeing. Walking tour was amazing, we had a blonde woman as our tour leader, learned alot about the city and felt fulfilled afterwards :)

My Mum & I booked the 2 day premium ticket, which was great. We covered all the major attractions and had a free walking tour & river cruise in addition, which was great value.
Our walking tour guide was great and went into detail about the history of Budapest, which is a must! The river cruise was great too and good to go during sunset or night time to see the city lit up. We highly recommend the thermal baths and definitely do a trip to Margaret Island where we saw the dancing water fountains. Also a visit to the Parliament House, Ruins pubs & St Stephen's!
Highly recommend Big Bus Budapest!!

Avevo letto recensioni non positive, ma, se pur titubante, ho ugualmente prenotato on line il pacchetto Budapest-Vienna Premium e devo dire che è stato tutto perfetto. Autobus puntuali in entrambe le città (massima attesa 20 minuti), personale disponibile e gentile ad ogni fermata e pure gli impermeabili forniti sul bus a Vienna quando pioveva. La crociera sul Danubio a Budapest, compresa nel pacchetto, è stata fatta entrambi i giorni per poter vedere la città sia di giorno che, l'indomani, di sera illuminata. Per mancanza di tempo non abbiamo potuto usufruire dei walking tour del pacchetto, ma rifarei questa scelta.

You need more people on the street. Stop 17 there was nobody around to ask on our first day. When we got on the bus there was no headphones. On some of the buses the headphone holders were not working. We missed stop 15 one day as we didn’t realise this was for the boat tour. We thought the bus was in traffic. The city sightseeing company had many more people and buses. Your old office is closed and there are no directions to your new offices - we had to ask your competitors where to go.
On a positive the night tour, the walking tour and the boat trip were great. When we did see your guys in the street they were brilliant but you need more of them

We enjoyed the two day pass and found the buses clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the river cruise and the information was valuable and interesting. Excellent communication re disruption to route over Gay pride weekend. Easy to use website.
