This is a shady business

They do not honour they’re return policy. The staff are EXTREMELY rude. Don’t recommend this company at all.
Called a few times, the manager wasn’t in but was told they would call me back. Never received a call. The third time I called I was told it wasn’t they’re problem and I was annoying them.

Absolutely horrendous customer service. Rude and completely no help to me whatsoever.

Bought a Muk 230IR straightener. Took it out of the box, ran it over 1 small section of hair (didn’t even turn it on) to see if it would work on my fine hair. I knew straight away it didn’t suit my hair thickness so I put it straight back into the box and contacted the ‘customer service’ department with the aim of returning it and exchanging for a GHD Platinum.

Nope, no exchanges, no returns. It’s completely useless on my hair so I may as well throw it out.

CUSTOMERS PLEASE BE CAREFUL

I would prefer not to give them any stars but I have to to write something. So here it goes I’m having issues with this company regarding an error that was made on their behalf. I’ve been emailing and calling them to no avail, apart from the very first email. They asked me to return the goods without sending me what I actually ordered & what’s makes matters worse there was no mention of it.
They even sent me a return label to be scanned at Australia Post and every time it was scanned including manually it came up with “CANNOT BE FOUND”
Tried calling them a few times, put on hold and at then end no one answered and was on the phone for over half an hour.
Customer Service is pitiful and I am warning everyone to be very careful as you fall on deaf ears.

I can't speak for the bad reviews currently because I ordered hair tools, but they were GREAT! Shipping was really fast too, so thank you so much Beautopia! :)

Customer BEWARE!

I've been going back and forth with emails for weeks surrounding a dry shampoo I had a reaction to. Beautopia have been extremely unhelpful (would not take any responsibility for the reaction, only offered to refund the x 2 bottles that were unused). When I called the Matrix company who the shampoo was made from, they advised me Beautopia is not an authorised seller and therefore they are unable to stand behind the product I had received. They went on to explain that unauthorised sellers get their stock from the 'black market' which is often copies that dont have the same ingredients (?!)
This company is extremely unproffesional. After persisting with my emails they asked me to return all x 3 products but only refunded me for x 2 and didnt get back to me with any sort of feedback or resolution until I chased them up. Their response was that the 3rd couldnt be refunded because it was more then 20% used. Noone mentioned this in the 20 or so emails that went back and forth. Plus the reaction was super mild initially so it took a few wears for me to realise something wasnt right. I eliminated other haircare first before finally working out it was the Matrix dry shampoo.
What an ordeal, customer BEWARE! There are many alternative sites who offer haircare products so save yourself time and peace of mind and shop elsewhere!

Worse customer service or lack of service
I placed a order with them as well as 4 other different suppliers. The other suppliers send me my orders quickly (the next day, or a few days later) and 8 days later I still haven’t hear from beautopia, they like to use Australia’s post for slow delivery but in my experience I get my orders quickly from other suppliers. I contact them and they said it will be sent that day. I replied to the email asking for it to be expressed post or couriered because I needed the products ASAP, they didn’t reply. They didn’t have one of the items I ordered in stock and they never contacted me to ask me what I would like instead. There is a smaller size of this product so why didn’t they send me 2 of them or 1. This is the 3rd time I have emailed the company to ask a question and never reply.
Their customer service sucks in the online store. Their only saving grace is the store front. Get your act together, the people you are dealing with are business owners that know how to run a business so we will just go to another supplier as you are not the only supplier in Australia

Dont order with these guys i ordered got totally different things I rung up took them 1 week to respond then git an an email saying they will send me the correct ones then the next day they refunded without sending anything to me ...dont do it waste of time they don't care if I could give a big 0 star I would 1 doesn't even cut it

They have sent me expired products and the wrong shampoo. I have emailed them several times over the last couple of weeks and only heard back once to say they would refund or exchange the product which they have not. They are still ignoring my emails. Do not waste your money on this company, they are extremely unprofessional!!!!

I purchased a bottle each of the Matrix Curl Please shampoo and conditioner which was the first order I have ever used Beautopia for. The first issue was I placed the order on 12/06/20 then never heard from them again until I emailed them on the 25/06/20 asking at what stage my order was at, they were prompt in answering my query by telling me about slight delays, then, an email about 30 minutes later telling me my order was on it's way so I'm leaning towards they had lost my order and fixed it up immediately which was fine. But, when I received the order, the conditioner didn't have the safety seal on it so who knows what was in it. I emailed them Monday 06/07/20 to see what had happened and to maybe ask if i could get another bottle of conditioner but today is Wednesday 08/07/20 and I have not heard from them. I won't be using Beautopia again.

I waited for about 5 days before…

I waited for about 5 days before contacting them because I hadn’t received any confirmation that my order had been sent - they ignored two of my emails - so this was over a week after I placed my order and hadn’t heard anything.

I called them - they told me on the phone they were busy and would get someone to call me back. But I said no I wanted to speak to someone now. Finally got ahold of someone and they said I must not have been receiving their emails, because they had replied. Funnily enough I received an email whislt on the phone to them.

I ended up receiving my order 3 weeks after being placed - they barely even apologised for the delay and were just awful in general. I will never order from them again

I purchased some items last month, noting the advertised delivery time on the website of 2-4 business days.
With no change to my order status after 10 days, I sent customer service an enquiry to which 'the warehouse were experiencing slight delays and will get this out as soon as possible'. Cool.
Five days later, I asked for an updated ETA. 'We are sending your order out tomorrow afternoon'. Great.
Three days later and no tracking, I sent another email requesting the order be sent today and a tracking number sent. If not, I requested a refund. 'Unfortunately, this stock isn't currently available in our warehouse so we requested it from one of our stores and they will send it express'. The cute touch to this email was a $10 gift card for my patience, which I will never, ever be using.
Another week later, I sent another email requesting the tracking number or a refund before I involve the ACCC. 'The products were actually given to one of our managers yesterday from a store, but it wasn't brought into our warehouse today'. Fab.

Today, almost four weeks after ordering - my items arrived!!
I am not sure what the hell kind of inventory management/dispatch system they use, but it is not working and makes their customer service team look extremely unprofessional in their answers.

Use Adorebeauty or OzHair&Beauty instead - this is the worst online experience I have had.

Honestly the worst service

Honestly the worst service and process. I waited over a week after I made an order to contact their customer service because I had not received a notification that my items would be sent. I got told they were being sent that day but nothing. I waited another couple of days and contacted them again and got told they would be sent that day again, and nothing.

I then CALLED them and got told they were out of stock of one item but someone was going to pick it up and it would be sent the next day. Still nothing so I called again and they said it would be posted the following day, which it finally got shipped. (Two and a bit weeks after my order). They did not offer express postage until I asked for it and they did not provide any reasonable explanation as to why I had to follow them up four times to get my parcel sent.

Then I got my order and there was an item missing. I contacted Beautopia who corrected it but there was a lot of back and forth and again, they did not even send it via express post even though it was there mistake.

Will not use again.

Negative Experience, Poor service

Ordered on a Sunday, called the following Thursday to follow up as my order hadn’t been sent and I was becoming desperate for it. Was guaranteed it would be sent express Friday and promised I’d have it Saturday (I had 12 clients over the long weekend booked) Saturday comes and nothing was delivered so I embarrassingly had to call each client and cancel their app. Being the long weekend they didn’t have time to make other arrangements so of coarse were extremely disappointed and annoyed. I contacted beautopia to let them know and was told “oh sorry there must have been a miscommunication with our dispatch team” no offer to compensate nor did the apology sound genuine. I have a business to run but apparently that means nothing to them. Considering I am in Sydney and so are they the dispatch/delivery time is poor
