honest based review
to be honest i do love based, the shampoo and conditioner, sea salt spray, and the skincare have worked really well. i’ve only really had problems with the clay as it feels too greasy and makes my hair sit flat so it doesn’t really work for me i use a small amount and i won’t have enough hold and if i use a big amount then i will have greasy looking hair, definitely not the healthy shine as they say. but other than that they have great products with great ingredients. definitely not easy for me to afford all the products as i pay for shipping to the uk so its always like £160 for everything i try.

Wow reading these reviews makes me wonder now did I make a right purchase? I purchased this for my son a week ago and for any online purchase, I would have already been shipped. I even sent an email asking what was the delay. Sadly no response. Wanted to try something new for him and he’s been anticipating on getting it. At this point I’m honestly thinking about canceling my order especially seeing on trust pilot that I’m not the only waiting for an order. However they don’t lack in delivering emails. I get at least 5 of those a day. But not updates on shipping.

The international shipping is false you advertise that anything over 100$ is equal to free shipping but that just isn't the case even tho i spent 106€ i still had to pay 42€ for the shipping which is just great

Our free international shipping applies to orders over $100 USD, so the shipping itself is free. The charges you’re seeing at checkout are taxes and duties, which are collected upfront through our Passport shipping option.
This is based on your country’s import regulations and helps avoid delays or additional charges on delivery.

I previously wrote a review to warn customers about fraudulent websites impersonating Based. Since then, the company has had my review removed.
I’ve rarely seen this level of effort put into taking down a customer warning. That same effort might be better directed toward addressing the fraudulent sites themselves.
To be clear, I am not suggesting that Based Body Works is fraudulent. My concern is that other websites are copying their branding, logo, colours, and imagery, which could mislead customers. I would simply advise people to take care and ensure they are purchasing from the correct, official site.
It is the responsibility of brands to help protect their customers from this kind of activity, and at present Based appear to be making little to no effort to do so.

I did google this company but the reviews were far better than they are now! Ordered on the 9th April. Money taken from my account a week later but no dispatch email and no response to my email and online request asking where my order is. I’ve requested to cancel and for a refund but we shall see…

The worst customer service
The worst customer service. I have ordered products and chose and paid for an express delivery as I was tight on time. The products did not arrive in time and when I contacted customer service they did nothing about it. Kept coming up with excuses for the late delivery. I requested a refund as I never received my order, but customer service team completely ignored my request. I would not recommend and will not be ordering myself.

I recently purchased their Deluxe Straight/Wavy Hair Bundle on TikTok Shop, and at first when I tried their shampoo I was expecting a ton of foam and when I used it I got so used to the foam from other brands but the more I used the BASED Shampoo and conditioner made my hair have more volume compared to the other brands. Got my last review wrong, it was another package that didn’t deliver, the shampoo is a little bit weak but I think that’s just because it’s natural, can’t expect vegan chocolate to taste like Cadbury 🤷♂️ and conditioner doesn’t leave that horrible greasy feeling in my hair. Overall great product and after service left America got to me in 4 days!

Literally the worst company
Literally the worst company. Ordered and order didn’t even ship out. A week later I had to contact customer service, they then shipped the order out. A week and bit later I’m still waiting for the package. You think they would send the package priority after forgetting a package. But seeing the other reviews, I’ll never order from them again.

Not trustworthy. They said the products would arrive within 5-14 days. 23 days later they hadn’t even shipped. I had to contact customer service multiple times to get the products shipped. It has been a month and I still haven’t received the product. The company is refusing to refund the shipping fees. I would caution anyone from ordering from this business.

International shipments can sometimes take longer to clear customs, causing extra delays. That said, we understand how frustrating the timeline has been.
Your order has now cleared customs and arrived at the local warehouse for processing, so it should be delivered within the next few days.
