Great customer service on picking up and dropping off car. We even got a complimentary life to the Airport via their Shuttle Bus. Our MG Sedan was spotless. Would recommend.

DON’T use this company
DON’T use this company. They are kilometers away from actual airport and you have to wait for their shuttle bus. It adds a couple of hours to your return trip. An ‘SUV’ from them is a tiny and crumple-style car that is dangerous on Stuart Highway. And they take $1 from your card so they have an excuse WITHOUT communication to add another $300-$500 to your fee. Choose one of five companies actually based right inside airport who behave professionally.

Team was fantastic
Team was fantastic. Easy as to deal with, once we got the gist. Just be aware, there is NO kiosk at the darwin airport. Meet at the pick up point at the front of the taxi rank and a mini van will take you the very short distance to the car pick up. We arrived very shortly before closure, so was a little confusing while we worked this out. We also had small kids who needed car seats. Theyre ok to go on the mini bus, but you might prefer to wait for the driver to come back to get you, if someone can wait behind with kids. Car seats were great though, and all fitted, ready to roll. Made life so much easier. Car was clean and neat as a pin. Car seats were immaculate. Overall, happy with the experience and would happily use again for our next trip.

Bit of a wait when picking car up
Bit of a wait when picking car up. Came as a bit of a surprise as all paperwork had been done prior to picking vehicle up. But attendant very efficient, most pleasant and very helpful.
Dropping car off was super easy and, once more, attendant pleasant to deal with.
Service was good, staff were great and price was competitive.

The only thing was we had a MG3 which was very noisy inside and not much power.

If you have taken up third party cover at the time of booking through one of our agents this does differ from taking the cover directly with us and is handled with different terms and conditions.
While we are not made aware of any third party insurance/cover taken up at the time of booking our staff will always ask if you want to take up the liability cover options directly with us as well as make sure you know how the different options work for you.
For example third party coverage options do function on a reimbursement basis as opposed to our direct cover meaning no more to pay in the case of an incident for our standard vehicles and only a $1 holding deposit during your rental.
Our platinum excess cover is completely optional and if you advise us you already have third party cover, understand how it works and do not need this we would not apply it to your booking.

Pleasant Experience, no after-hours pickup option
We enjoyed our experience hiring a car from Bargain Car Rentals Darwin. The car was clean and great to use. They were a little inflexible when our flight time changed and we weren't able to organise an after-hours drop-off which meant we had to Uber to our accommodation and back to the rental location the next day to pick-up the car.
