Instructions for pick up from the airport we're a bit off. The pick up area was on the complete òpposite side of the airport than explained in our email. We called the number numerous times but since our phone was out of country the office did not contact us and we had to pay a taxi to get us to the off airport rental site. We were told to contact corporate to see if we could get reimbursement. Will have to see where that goes once we return home. Otherwise, we did get a car and were encouraged to purchase the additional extra covered even though we had a third party rental coverage tbat was supposed to be included with our rental through vroomvroomvroom.com which increased the cost quite considerably than we had planned.

Customer service on pick up was excellent

Easy and quick process to get our hire care on the day. Staff were very cheerful and helpful. Vehicle was just right for our needs and was a pleasure to drive.
We dropped the car back and were on the shuttle to the airport within minutes.

Punctual pick up from airport,smooth car pick up(I had pre filled all details),car performed reliably over the 20 days and drop off had not hassles although I did take out full insurance which does make drop off easy…driver to airport was could enough to take bags out of vehicle

Great little car had a good experience with it

Booking process through Vroom was simple.
Check in involved a rather complex explanation about liability, especially the advice that we would be required to pay further hire charges if the vehicle was off the road for repairs. This was unexpected and new to us after many years of hiring vehicles.
On return we advised the accepting agent that the skinny get me home spare tyre was under inflated. She advised that this is the way it should be. This is incorrect, as the profile and size of the tyre requires a higher pressure.

The car was good for the price and the shuttle to and from the airport was great. My only issue was they tried to upsell the most expensive insurance. I had rental protection which was applicable with basic cover which was no added cost just the $500 bond and the staff member said we would be driving an uninsured car if we didn't take the highrst insurance option. The rental protection had full costs returned as long as the base 3rd party was in the rental agreement
I didn't appreciate the threat and pressure from him to pay another $300 plus for a week to cover things very unlikely to happen

Check in was terrible. We had a person that was hard to understand and spent most of the time trying to upsell insurance.The car that they had for us which we would not accept because of a cracked windscreen however on return we had an amazing person who made the return very quick and easy and drove us to the airport before the actual opening time.I would give him a 10/10.I have used before and would use again

We enjoyed the vehicle we rented, late model Honda.

Checking in was easy, drop off was painless. Good shuttle service to the airport.

The downside was it was difficult to contact some-one to shuttle us airport to depot.

They advertise that they rent "New cars at a bargain price". In reality, the car we got had almost 70 000 km, brakes were due to be changed, it had problem with head beams efficiency, etc. Their fleet is mostly composed of the cheapest brands on the market (mostly MG). During our rental, we experienced poor customer service (do not return emails). When I reported those issues to the Cairns Bargain office manager, he was listening passively, did not lift a finger to help and instead of showing interest in the problems I was reporting and suggesting solutions, he told me that we were more than welcome to rent from elsewhere next time.

Excellent experience throughout. Great staff, attentive and pleasant. Car was great.

Beware of taking out an insurance package online. Don't.!! Wait till you're actually picking the car up. This experience ended up being the MOST EXPENSIVE car rental EVER in all my years of renting. It was not! a bargain. A middleman company called Discover, based in Europe, apart from the rental, also sold insurance that is absolutely useless in Australia. They also cost me a sneaky hidden international exchange rate fee on my credit card. I did get a vehicle upgrade thanks to the staff at the Cairns depot. They were well intentioned and honest.
