Have really enjoyed doing this course- my photography has improved immensely and the flexibility to space the assignments to fit around other commitments is a big advantage.

Completing the HND at the British Academy of Photography was a valuable experience. The course offered a flexible, well-structured approach to developing both technical and creative photography skills. The tutors provided insightful feedback, helping me refine my technique and storytelling.

It also allowed me to develop additional skills and expand my creativity, giving me the confidence and knowledge to pursue photography professionally. Highly recommended for those looking to advance their skills!

After taking the plunge to do the diploma course, with a form of dyslexia I was dreading it but it is something I wanted and needed to do for so long.
The correspondence with the academy and tutor has been great, I am only at the beginning but as a avid photographer for years it is the first time in decades that I am actually thinking about my photography, settings and images more. The academy have been making this journey a lot easier with good correspondence and getting back to me with any questions. Thank you for making this long awaited journey worth starting. DC

Overall, the Tutors are very, very helpful and supportive. My concern is the organisation of the courses; many people, including myself, signed up for a BA Degree course after completing the HND. To be told they were finding another partner a year ago and are still waiting to continue. We are being told we are in talks, which is not reassuring. I have not graded it a two because of the tutor's support, which is good. Also, there is no news on graduation yet, and I have been waiting for over a year.

I really enjoy studying at BAPH because of the academy's innovative approach to studies. Student-led learning gives crucial freedom and space - it allows you to find what is most important to you in each topic and form your own unique approach and style towards photography. I also really like the respectful and encouraging communication of the tutors - you never have to be afraid that you will be humiliated or underestimated. Hugo Felix, my course tutor, always provides crucial assistance with study assignments and even extra-curricular activities in photography.

Submitting 'Assignment 4' Tutor Feedback
My experience submitting work files for Assignment 4 has been helpful because I've submitted my digital visual diary for tasks 1 and 2, along with my selection of images in the best different variations using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Camera RAW. I've also considered avoiding using Gen AI or Generated Artificial intelligence as I only used MyBib and not those that are intergrated.

Since becoming a student at the British Academy of Photography, I’ve not only honed my technical skills to become a better photographer but also discovered my passion for commercial photography. This journey has been about more than just improving my craft—it’s been about finding my creative voice. And now I’ve had the chance to work on amazing projects, from capturing striking architecture to creating compelling portraits, and it’s taken me across the UK and Europe. Working with incredible clients and tackling such a variety of challenges has shaped me as both an artist and a professional, and it’s reaffirmed my love for telling stories through imagery.

I had to restart the course and needed help. Aisling was quick to respond, extremely helpful and courteous throughout. All very much appreciated - excellent service Thank you.

I am really enjoying the HNC Photography course. Just completed assignment 12 and awaiting the marking.

I would say Photography is a wonderful way of learning new things, I have learnt new a different things of History and wildlife just by walking and looking around your eyes ear's are good to hear wonderful things

I struggled with this course at first. I hadn't realised that there was no person-to-person live contact with a tutor - one to one or in a group. As a total beginner with a small digital camera I'd only used on 'auto' and a borrowed SLR for a couple weeks, it was hard going at first. I had to wade through both camera manuals to find and understand the tools to expose and compose. But there is a tutor at the end of an email and there's a WhatsApp group with lots of passionate and skilled learners who can help. I found the 5 units a good size in terms of the amount of reading/learning/practice. I felt a real sense of progress and most of all, I quickly began to LOVE the tasks and challenges. I could spend all day doing this! I had thought it might take me a year to do this, finding an hour here and there. I've WANTED to put free hours into it. So if you're a total beginner, stick with with and get stuck in.

I enrolled in the Diploma Course in Photography a few days ago. I got Ana as a tutor.
I contacted her a few times. I have a great experience. She responded to me within 24 hours. I am enjoying the course, although I am a beginner. I started my photography journey with the British Academy of Photography. I think I made a good choice.

A very professionally organised course - have loved the in-person lessons. Now doing my assignments- they aren’t a walk in the park, so you feel like you are genuinely learning and gaining a well earned qualification at the end of it hopefully. Lots of excellent support and materials.

I completed the in-person Postgraduate diploma at the academy and I am extremely happy with my experience.

The assignments were very practical, they were broad focused on different areas, which helped me grow as a photographer.

The tutors are amazing, I learned so much from them, their professional experience and invaluable advice kept me motivated through the course.

Another amazing thing about the Postgraduate diploma is that it offers a work placement, which I looking forward to!

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone who’s interested in photography and wants to upskill and take their work to another level. It is a lot of hard work but definitely worth it!!

I studied the Postgraduate diploma in photography with the BAPH. I can't recommend this course enough. The structure of the course is excellent - you get the chance to study different types of photography as well as the history of photography. The tutors, especially Mariana, have been really supportive and give really detailed comments on your assignments. Excellent!

I've had a fantastic experience with the Postgraduate Diploma Course at the British Academy of Photography. The curriculum was comprehensive, covering various genres and types of photography, practiced taking photos in outdoor, indoor and studio settings.
