Steer well clear

As others have said. Pre-ordered their electric toothbrush in March and told June delivery.
Nothing!
No response to multiple emails.
Now opened a case with PayPal
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Take your money, but fail to deliver.

Fraudulent company, take your money but don't deliver order

Fraudulent company. Ordered and paid for toothbrush in March of 2022 - knew it wouldn't be delivered straight away, but months and months went by and not even a word - tried emailing several times, no replies. Contacted them on Messenger on 7/13, someone FINALLY got back to me on 7/15, saying my item would be shipped out over the weekend and I would receive it the following week. Needless to say, didn't receive anything and nobody replied to my numerous attempts at making contact. I can't even message them anymore on Messenger and their FB page is down. Reported to Paypal, hoping for a refund. Don't do business with them!!

Do not touch with a bargepole

I paid for an electric toothbrush in March 2022. To date, I have received nothing, despite receiving a confirmation email at the time. It is incredibly difficult to contact them as the FB etc links don't appear to work. I think this company is either a scam or has gone bust but I can’t find anything to confirm that. Please don't lose your money by trying to buy from them.

Let down.

I’m trying not to be cynical so I’m going to start by saying I don’t THINK this is a scam, I just think they’re awful at business.

Brush took months to arrive. Fine, they did say on purchase that it would take a while. It’s ok. Not great. Nothing special. Bit loud.

The battery is supposed to last for weeks but unfortunately lasts about 2 days, even though I keep it charged over night/all day when it runs down. There’s no warning when the battery is low so it’s frustrating when it cuts out in the middle of brushing with no warning.

Customer service - literally the worst I’ve ever encountered. I’ve attempted to speak to them 3 times, once to find out when it would arrive (never responded), once to check if it was supposed to be so loud (it literally woke up my baby in the next room) and complemented the brush (they responded within 24 hours), and once to complain about the battery life. I checked back a week later when I got no response and found their socials had been deleted.

Soooo no, don’t bother. As I said I want to believe the best in them… but they don’t help themselves. Mediocre brush and not worth the money, even though I got it 1/2 price. Really disappointed as I so badly wanted to support a smaller business with green credentials but I feel totally let down.

Please do NOT use this company.

Please do NOT use this company and definitely don’t pay anything up front. It’s a complete con!! I paid up front months and months ago and have still not received the product. I have tried multiple times to contact them but have got no response.

This is a complete scam. Do not trust or pay upfront for any product. I ordered in Feb with an upfront payment and despite multiple attempts to contact have had no response.

Not A Reputable Company

I placed a pre-order for an electric toothbrush in February this year. Payment for this was made at the time. When placing the order I was advised that the item would be delivered to me in June. As at 17.08.22 I have STILL not received my order & have had no refund. Despite many attempts to contact Bambooi, I have had no response from them at all. If I was able to give a review of a minus number of stars I would certainly do so. Bambooi clearly have no intention of fulfilling my order, & do not appear to want to give a refund. This is theft. I would avoid this company altogether.

Avoid this company

Like so many people on here I’ve also received a faulty toothbrush that “Sophie” said they’d replace - since then it’s gone radio silent on all fronts and I’ve been blocked on FB and messenger now!
Feel very stupid as I closed the PayPal query before replacement arrived so can’t re-open the claim now and suspect I’m out of time now as they’ve delayed and delayed.
Reported to CAB who will pass on to Trading Standards but no money or product is likely to be received.

Nothing useful on Companies House either!
SCAMMERS - avoid !

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. I waited months for the delivery. I was ok with that as they sent regular updates.

Once I had received it there was a problem with charging. I contacted Sophie who informed me it was a manufacturing problem that the light didn’t change to green when fully charged but it should be fully charged after 8 - 10hrs.

However, it didn’t hold it’s charge for long and I complained nicely and received no reply at all. I used the contact us part of the website to no avail.

I have now returned it to the address in South Shields with a covering letter asking for a refund. The parcel has been signed for but I’m not holding my breath!

No idea what is going on...

I pre-ordered the electric toothbrush, replacement heads and charging travel case in October 2021. I knew it would be a while until it arrived and the company were very good at keeping us updated on delays via email so I waited patiently. The CEO sent an email on 12th May 2022 informing us that 52,450 electric toothbrushes had been dispatched and expressed their dismay at the awful TrustPilot reviews during the waiting period.

My electric toothbrush arrived on 13th May but the charging travel case I had also ordered was missing. I emailed them the same day asking where it was and said that I was sorry to hear that they were receiving online abuse as I had been satisfied with the regular updates. Sophie replied almost immediately explaining that the charging case was the 'main culprit for all of the production delays' but that they had issued a refund and I would receive this free of charge in summer 2022 when it was ready. She then emailed again to tell me that 'We can’t seem to refund you via Paypal as your transaction is +180 days' and asked for alternative details. I provided these and was told that 'this info has been passed to the accounts team and will be processed by the end of the day.' I asked if there was an ETA on the travel case as I was moving house this summer. Sophie replied again saying 'we’ll drop you an email before sending anything just to make sure you’ll be home.' I never received the refund and have heard nothing about the travel case since, despite enquiring a number of times and providing my new address 2 months in advance of the move.

Furthermore, on 25th May (12 days after receiving it) my electric toothbrush stopped charging. Before that I was absolutely loving it so I was hugely disappointed. I emailed to inform them and asked whether it could be fixed or replaced and once again Sophie replied the same day, which I was very impressed by. She said 'It sounds like it’s actually the charging base that has stopped working here. But just to be safe, we’re going to send you a new toothbrush with a new charging base. I’ll check in in a few days to see how your new toothbrush is doing and we’ll arrange the return of the defective unit if that’s ok with you? We’ll need to run some tests to diagnose the issue so it doesn’t happen again!' This seemed to imply that I would receive a replacement within a few days. That was nearly 12 weeks ago and despite asking for updates a number of times over the past 3 months I have heard nothing from them since...

No refund, no travel case, no replacement toothbrush, no communication in 3 months...

They're still selling them on their website so I can only assume that the business is still running... The autoreply on their email states the following:
'For BIO MAX™ pre-orders made between Oct 2021 - April 2022: I'd like an update on my pre-order. All pre-orders are expected to fulfilled soon. Thank you for your patience! / My unit seems defective. Visit: [link provided] For all other enquiries, our team is working 24/7 to respond to you and hope that we'll be able to help within 48 hours. Thank you for your understanding!' I have used the link provided - still no response.

What is going on? I have been a loyal customer of Bambooi over the last few years and I am so shocked at the lack of communication and refusal to deliver the refund as promised - I genuinely feel like I have been robbed. Please can somebody from the company let us know what it going on?

I preordered my brush so got if for…

I preordered my brush so got if for half price. It did take months to arrive but is working ok. My only complaint is that the replacement head works up of the main body of the brush as I’m brushing. Also the charge light doesn’t change colour when fully charged and I cannot find on the website how long you are meant to charge for. My initial emails were answered but I haven’t had a response to my questions re charging and the lifting head. Reading on here it sounds like the company has folded. That’s a shame as the premise for a recyclable electric toothbrush was good. They were definitely an alright company but guess they’ve gone bust. Sorry for anyone who has lost money.

Is no news, good news?

I finally decided to type "is Bambooi a scam or legit?" into Google today, and Trustpilot was one of the top hits. I pre-ordered a BIO MAX at the beginning of February this year along with some additional brush heads. On 22nd June I decided to email the company to try and get an expected delivery date following their final update email back in April, but to present, I have received no reply. I see from someone on here who has got an email back...the company may no longer be active? If that is the case, it's a real shame. I thought the product concept was really good. I'll see if I can do any better communication via PayPal.

Non existent customer service

The product itself is good, (after waiting 8 months after paying for it, to it actually arriving) but I have lost my charger lead and have written 3 times now to order a new one but had no reply at all. You don’t seem to be able to buy the lead on the high street so I now have a useless £50 brush sitting on the bathroom shelf. There is no phone number so the only contact is email. TBH I would not bother, just stick with a Braun.

I was aware the toothbrush would take a…

I was aware the toothbrush would take a while to arrive so that wasn’t a problem. It arrived and looks great, it works really well, but I’m going through a brush head every 2 weeks as over a few days it becomes loose and falls off while brushing. I have attempted to email the company and tried messaging on Facebook about the issue, but have not had a reply. It’s a real shame as I want to love the toothbrush, and when it works it’s great. As many other people have mentioned, the aftercare and customer service really need improvement.

If I could give a 0 rating I would. Like others have mentioned below placed an order for toothbrushes and received faulty items which I reported in numerous messages and nothing has been done about it!

The whole company is a scam

I spent almost £50 with them back in October 2021, got sent a bunch of fake holding emails because they were 'so popular' that it was going to be slightly delayed. It's now August 2022, I've sent three emails and had no response. This company is a scam don't go anywhere near them.

No response at all from them over a faulty product

When the product arrived, very, very late, I was extremely pleased with it. It's an electric toothbrush. The initial charge lasted several weeks. Since then a charge lasts anywhere from 4 brushes to 10. I've tried several times to contact them but they seem to have absolutely no interest in dealing with a problem. Completely useless.
