We were so grateful for the exceptional care we received. Caroline and the team at Austins' communication was clear, timely, and incredibly thoughtful at every stage. They showed genuine consideration for our family’s needs and wishes, guiding us with sensitivity during a very difficult time. The level of service was outstanding. They were professional, respectful, and dealt with everything with real compassion. We could not have asked for better support.

Austin’s went the extra mile. Nothing was too much trouble for them from the first time we walked into their shop in Ware to dropping us off at the wake. We were given help and support at every step.
We were very fussy and wanted horses and carriage for my Mum’s funeral but everything had to be colour co-ordinated with the funeral flowers, including the horses feathers and the accessories the undertakers wore. Everything looked absolutely stunning and I fully recommend Austin’s 100%. I am happy to provide photos of the horses on request.
Thank you Austin’s, you made a sad bereavement a lovely send off to remember and be proud of.

Perfect, from the first contact to conversations with Lee regarding the service, Austin’s empathetic support throughout our sad journey was perfect. If you are lucky enough to have the wonderful Veronika to support you she’ll end up feeling like a friend.

I was treated with kindness, sympathy empathy and respect by everyone involved at Austin's. Particular thanks to Jane for all the time and trouble she took to guide me through the arrangements process, Neil, for supporting me on the day and Sharon for her advice afterwards. Of particular note was the way calls were always returned and within promised timescales. Very rare nowadays !

The service was first class, every step of arranging my Mothers funeral was made uncomplicated and the end result was everything we wanted.

I could not recommend Austin’s more highly. After the sudden death of my husband, my son and I were in a state of shock and grief. Throughout the process of arranging my husband’s funeral we were treated with kindness and compassion. We never felt rushed or pushed to make necessary but difficult decisions. I cannot express enough gratitude for the outstanding service we received from the team at Austins, especially Caroline at the Hitchin branch. From the very first moment we made contact, Caroline’s kindness and sensitivity helped guide us through what was undoubtedly one of the hardest times in our lives. She was always there to answer any questions, provide reassurance, and offer gentle support, making us feel like our dad was in the very best hands.

On the day of the funeral, Lee and his team went above and beyond to give our dad a truly faultless send-off. Their professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care were clear every step of the way, and it was a beautiful and respectful service that we will always remember.

It’s not easy to find the right words during such an emotional time, but I can say with confidence that the compassion shown by Caroline, Lee, and everyone at Austins helped ease our grief and allowed us to focus on remembering and celebrating our dad’s life. Thank you so much for everything.

My husband passed away in September.
I had to complete the funeral preparations
My husband made it easier with paying up front for his funeral but it was still very hard with the extra things I had to order.
The staff helped me with everything I needed help with and nothing was to much including recommend the revernd as my husband was religious.
I have used Austins with a lot of my families funeral.
I will carry on using Austins for future funerals.

Kelly was very helpful and made the whole process much easier to deal with. She was easy to communicate with, always returning calls and messages. Her help with the celebrant, who was brilliant in assisting us with the service, was also greatly appreciated.

From the moment we walked in through the door we experienced compassion and professionalism. Everything happened when we were told it would happen and we didn't need to worry about anything. On the day of my Mother in law's funeral the staff pre-empted our thoughts and feelings. Gary was kindness and professionalism personified. Thank you to everyone who helped us through that time.
