Highly recommended

Artsy was fantastic with my recent purchase. The communication was prompt and professional. Also, when they were not able to answer one of my questions, they quickly had the gallery respond.
My art was packed very carefully and arrived quickly even during bad weather.

Starting to think it's not even a real…

Starting to think it's not even a real site. I have an authentic jeff koons sculpture that i tried to list twice on their site. Once a month ago and once two weeks ago. Both are still pending. Nobody returns emails, calls, texts. If it is legit, they're terrible at running a business.

Lousy follow-up

I've purchased $50,000 in paintings over the last several months and yet they won't respond to an email questioning why I have to pay a $100 Fedex charge when Artsy received $650 from me for shipping.

Dealing with Artsy directly — not good

I’m a long time viewer of Artsy and have bought a number of works directly from galleries listed there— never a problem. The one time I have had to deal with Artsy directly tho has been a terrible experience. I bid on a work and won. The CC on file tho no longer was valid, which I didn’t realize, and I got an email two days later saying the payment didn’t go thru and could I update. I did and I emailed them that I had. No response, no new charge. I emailed again and again and again. Nothing. I can’t reach anybody by other means — they seem to have no customer service number and… I’m waiting. I would hate to lose the art but even more so, their lack of response makes me wonder whether I would ever even consider selling through them. There’s no excuse for their lack of professionalism, not in this industry.

I signed my small gallery with this…

I signed my small gallery with this platform in June. After paying over $400 per month and not seeing any movement or interest I wrote to my advisor to cancel me (since they will t let you do it electronically) they did not cancel only keep charging me and ignoring her requests. What am I supposed to do? I’ve cancelled how they said I can and all they do is ignore the requests to terminate. This company is not a good company. I do not recommend them on any level. Dishonest people in their billing department.
As of November after declining the payment with my cc the monthly charges stopped and I got a 3 month $1250 early termination bill. I believe this is how the company makes a lot of its money.
Have a NEWGallery page in your site. Do anything for the little galleries you are so aggressively recruiting.
Good luck to any small gallery trying to get attention on the platform.

Exceptional service navigating a missed delivery

My order shipped earlier than anticipated and required a signature. The Artsy Team replied over a holiday weekend to present options on how they could facilitate the delivery and were super responsive and kind. A+ service! Despite me catching the final delivery attempt, I was very impressed with their communication and efforts to facilitate a smooth delivery.

The initial process of divulging all my financial information before my offer was even accepted was a little anxiety inducing , making the whole endeavor seem like a possible scam , but it all worked out in the end.

Dies war unser erster Kauf eines Kunstwerkes bei ARTSY und ausserhalb Deutschlands überhaupt. Wir kannten die Abläufe nicht und waren sehr gespannt.
Nach dem Zuschlag und der Order haben wir erst einmal nichts mehr über den aktuellen Stand gehört und waren etwas beunruhigt, aber dann bekamen wir nach 2 Wochen eine Mail und über die Links darin konnten wir den aktuellen Stand verfolgen. Dann kam unser Bild, von FedEx geliefert und alles war super.
Das Bild selber war sehr profesionell verpackt und geschützt.
Das hat uns alles sehr überzeugt und wir sind vollkommen zufrieden. Auf alle Fälle schauen wir jetzt immer mal bei ART SY onlinie vorbei und würden jederzeit hier wieder bestellen.

Massive Disappointment

Artsy.net seemed to be a decent place to list our pieces that were purchased in The past. We were not anxious to get rid of them, but we were interested in moving the funds from those art pieces to another appreciating asset.

Artsy did not do a good job communicating or marketing. They undervalued our work(we had others appraise for thousands more) and in turn did not get us anywhere close to what we needed/wanted. We sold 40k of art work for 12k and they acted as if they did us a favor. If you are looking to sell high end pieces, I would recommend finding another auction.

We feel sold. Not helped. They wanted a quick buck, and we helped them get it. They completely over-promised and under-delivered. Their resolution? About $500. This does not account for the thousands of dollars we lost on selling with this platform.
