The Amelia who delivered my parcel claimed that she contacted me twice and almost send the parcel back to the sender because I was not home. She contacted me at 16h09 and 16h11. I contacted her at 16h36 and she delivered. She was not customer friendly and was unfair and almost rude in her manner of service.

I had one of the worst courier experiences I’ve ever encountered with Aramex.
I sent an Express Courier parcel from the Eastern Cape on Saturday, 3 January at 09:24 and was assured it would be delivered in Johannesburg by Tuesday, 6 January at the latest.
According to the tracking, the parcel went out for delivery on 6 January at 07:56, but it was never delivered. At 20:58, the status was updated to “Delivery failed – driver out of time.”
When I contacted the call centre, I was told the parcel had been sent out with a driver servicing the Boksburg area, despite the delivery address being in Randburg. This is a basic routing error that should not happen, especially for an express service.
I then spent the entire 7 January following up via emails and the call centre and was repeatedly assured that the parcel would be delivered by close of business. This did not happen. I even attempted to escalate the issue by emailing the Aramex Country Manager, but received no response.
In the end, after significant effort and frustration, I had to collect the parcel myself from Aramex, completely defeating the purpose of paying for an express courier service.
This experience shows poor logistics, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. I am extremely disappointed and expect an explanation and appropriate compensation for a service that was clearly not delivered as promised.

"This company does not deserve a single star; the customer service is absolutely terrible. I have been waiting for my order for two weeks and have called every single day for an update.
I first spoke to Tamara, who failed to assist me. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told that none were available to take my call. Instead, I was passed to Stacy, who claimed she was handling my case. However, she was not helpful at all; she claimed my parcel is 'with an agent,' which is incredibly confusing.
It is unacceptable that no manager is available to attend to my case. To make matters worse, I have now been told to contact the Durban branch myself because the current office is in Cape Town. This lack of accountability and coordination is unprofessional." Case No: 96900497
The most pathetic service imaginable
This is the most shocking service I have come across in my life. Did not deliver after promising they would - without letting me know; every time you contact them you wait ages, then they don't listen to or answer what you ask, give vague and unrelated answers, then before you can ask them to clarify they shut down the request and you have to start again. Utter pathetic service. What a joke.
Their Store-to-door is a disaster
Their Store-to-door is a disaster, just like the parent company. I bought a sleeve, followed the instructions on it, scanned the QR code and got confirmation SMSs and emails but they have no record of my documents. I tried to contact their help line and they put me on hole for ages. What a hopeless, useless, incompetent company this is. And being on hole for so long tells you that there are many people who have the same problem. Rather use The Courier Guy or Post Net. And don't use Click Way either, because it's one of their subsidiary companies. The quote page won't work and their help bot and live agents are equally incompetent and inept. What a waste! Stay away from these people. One Star is too generous for the likes of this company.

Worst service ever
I have been waiting forever for some herbal supplements that I order often and a matcha tea from Amazon. Suddenly I get a lot of emails about needing to show prescriptions from a doctor and paying extra fees. You can buy these products from Now over the counter in Spar, Dischem and most healthful stores in SA. I had to keep communicating with Pule who kept bombarding me with emails. When I asked if I could at least get my tea send, the fee was now R 550 last week it was R 400,-. After being on hold forever with bad music, a lady told my husband the reason why our order was held back was according to the " something something" rule, when he asked what something something is she couldn't answer, then Pule came on the phone mumbling away. It was like farce or a bad comedy show. I don't understand how Aramex can let people like that with poor English and customer skills let alone lack of efficiency and common sense answer the phone. I did not choose Aramex, Amazon chose them. But I have to deal with the time wasters.

I dropped off a parcel at Pick n Pay on 21 October 2025, well before the daily cut-off time of 15:00. The parcel contained important business documents that needed to reach Pretoria by 11:00 on 23 October 2025.
Aramex advertises that parcels dropped off before 15:00 are collected the same day and delivered the following day. However, when I tracked my parcel the next morning (22 October 2025 at 10:00), it still hadn’t been collected from the Pick n Pay drop-off box.
I immediately contacted Aramex customer service to retrieve my parcel so I could make alternative courier arrangements, but I was told this was not possible. I then asked for my case to be escalated for urgent collection and delivery. A query was logged, yet four hours later (around 13:00), I received a call from Emelia, informing me that a third-party agent would be dispatched to collect the parcel — but delivery on the 23rd could not be guaranteed.
To make matters worse, I was told that I could go to the Pick n Pay myself and wait for their third-party agent to open the drop-off box if I wanted to retrieve my parcel.
This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional service from Aramex. For a company that promotes next-day delivery and reliable logistics, this experience was deeply disappointing.
I would not recommend Aramex South Africa to anyone — especially for time-sensitive or business-critical deliveries.

My shipment was created 30/09/2025, it’s been 6 working days and I still don’t have my parcel that I need by Friday. It’s so difficult to get ahold of anyone to speak to. I’ve always used this courier but I’m afraid this will be the last! This new Aramex nothing is working, I’m even struggling to log into my app!!!

Absolutely shocking service from Aramex South Africa. My parcel has been stuck at customs for over 4 weeks and I’ve been trying to deal with Sharon for the past 2 weeks just to get an invoice so I can pay the customs fine. No emails get answered, and when you finally manage to call, all you get are excuses and lies. The staff are beyond lazy and clearly don’t care about their customers. Aramex is by far the worst courier company I’ve ever dealt with — if you value your time and sanity, rather use DHL or FedEx. At least they know how to handle shipments professionally. I’ll never use Aramex again.

I have been with Aramex Cape Town since Jan 2021.
I have had 3 account managers who all have been very professional and lovely to work with.
My complaint is about fraudulent action.
I am still with them but looking for alternatives to use.
The fraud is where they charge you for PPX services on the Invoice but you use their DPX service which is about R300 to R400 cheaper. (reflected on the waybill) I have proof of every accusation.
PPX is a faster service whereas DPX is their economical option.
This has happened 4 times in the past few months and other times in the past also.
Is this done on purpose and fraudulent or done by incompetence? Either way I need to see someone fired !!

If i could give 0 stars that would be too much. Horrible service paid customs 2 days ago still they said it's not pai,d, staff not getting back to you. I hope I never have to deal with aramex again. Everytime I want an answer I'm sorry for the inconvenience but no definitive answer. Why do I need to prove I paid something through their peach portel and they said it's not showing, 2 days it will, meaning my parcel would be rotting there cause people don't want to work. Disgusting!!!!!,
