One of our party injured their head on one of the low hanging ceiling lamps which really spoiled the evening given the lamps are dangerously low. The food is acceptable but nothing special, however the service from the some of the staff is lamentable. You feel really rushed to order and leave.

Really disappointed with the service and food at Aqua Petts wood. Had to go and ask waitress for a high chair even though we walked in with a toddler. We got put in a corner behind the cleaning supplies - not the best view! We asked what there was for a little one to drink and if there was a children’s menu and was told starter portions and water were all there was. When the waiter came to take our order, they didn’t have either of our choices. Ordered sirloin steak with bearnaise sauce and chunky chips. When it came I was astounded…. Five chips and a fatty steak with refrigerated bearnaise. My son ordered the ribeye steak medium and his came out bloody and more like rare. Asked waitress if this looked medium and she basically argued with me. Sent it back to be cooked further. Food mediocre at best, service extremely poor. Didn’t want to waste any more time or money in this restaurant so went to pay and complain. The manager didn’t really care! Would not go again. Haven’t really been anywhere with this level of bad service in a long time. They even had the cheek to charge me a service charge!!! Should have asked for that to be taken off but thought my head would explode if I’d have had to argue that point! RUDE!

Aqua restaurant Petts Wood
5 of our party had roast lamb. It was VERY chewy and grisly smothered in BEEF gravy. When we reported to the waiting staff they did not want to know, in fact they were very dismissive which was VERY annoying. We were charged with a 12% service charge but we refused to pay it I think their attitude was more annoying than the food. Never again!!!

One of my favourite restaurants in Bristol, overseen by the lovely owner Ben!
Go to the Whiteladies venue often, for a drink with grazing plates, family dinner and a great Sunday roast. Even a tasty brunch. Particularly love sitting outside on the terrace watching the world go by.

Great 2 coarse meal for £13 ( starter/ main/ desert). 2 for 1 cocktails before 7. The bath one is really great.

Aqua in Bath - Barbara made the evening!
I have been to Aqua in Bristol a long time ago. My first visit to Aqua in Bath was a really pleasant surprise. All staff were lovely and engaging, food was better than I remembered, the building is lovely but overall the experience was made exceptional by Barbara, who was so friendly, genuine and welcoming.
