A Lovely River Cruise
The travel agent we used was very helpful with our booking, and although our flight to Budapest was delayed, the APT rep was there to meet us and transport us to our ship.
We were welcomed warmly on board by the friendly crew, and from then on everything was first class.
The Crew were all very friendly and helpful, the Food was excellent and always a good choice at every meal. The Ship was always spotless and the choice of trips ashore were interesting and well organised by the Cruise Director.
APT tried to please everybody and we think they did.Due to the river conditions we sailed on both the Ostara and the Solara, so our comments apply to both .

Everything was well organised
Everything was well organised. Trips, notifications and of course the food was excellent. The boat was amazing and when we had to swap boats because of the level of the Danube all went smoothly. After our trip out our cases were waiting in our room to unpack. We would definitely cruise with APT again. They are a first class company.

Ship was amazing, very courteous staff, food was excellent and very clean
Unfortunately the excursions involved far more walking than had been explained at time of booking
The Guide on the last day was very bad, indeed I was left behind!

I loved meeting the elder and hearing about her life. So glad it was added.
Sorry Emma Gorge was limited to fast walkers.
Sunset picnic very well done. Hand sanitiser and nibbles very useful. We had a good drivrr/guide.
Seat belts cut necks. Seat rotation good but did not take account of sun.
Needed bikini not swimsuit so didn't have to sit for an hour in wet suit.
My Australian cousin was unable to find a bag the correct size. I took a soft case the correct size.
We booked a twin room but we ended up with a double which our guide had to sort out. Needed to check paperwork carefully.

Apt has always been our choice of…
Apt has always been our choice of cruise company.
But unfortunately the Croatia cruise was described as luxury cruise was not luxury!
On the last day of our cruise we were sent out of the ship at 09:00 am not being allowed to stay on the ship for our arranged transport to come at 17:30 to take us to the airport for our flight home, which was all arranged by APT. For 8 hours we walk on the streets waiting, in the heat of the day which was about 30+ degrees for our transport.
We were appalled.

A brilliant experience visiting Cape York
A brilliant experience visiting Cape York and the Torres Straits led by true professionals who thought of everything. It was a shame we visited the islands on a Sunday when things were closed, but this was the only downside.

Great experience onboard capella
We are just back from a fantastic trip onboard travelnarvel Capella on the highlights of the Danube cruise. 5-12 Aug.
We had a wonderful time, it’s a beautiful ship , the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, we had an unfortunate incident in Bratislava on day 2 when my wife’s purse got stolen with 2 bank cards and cash. The cruise director Emese was fantastic and accompanied us to the police station and helped us get through this horrible ordeal, she was fantastic and understanding of our situation. Be careful with your bags, wear them to the front and be vigilant of your sourroundings .
This incident did not dampen our enjoyment of this wonderful cruise, the ports we visited were amazing, the tours organised were great and the entertainment and food onboard was top class.
We would highly recommend travelmarvel for any cruise you wish to take. The ship and crew are top class , an unforgettable trip in so many ways.

River cruise that got everything right
Such a wonderful relaxed environment with attentive and professional staff. Attention to detail was just fabulous. The food was glorious and the accommodation was classy and comfortable. A little more expensive than other cruises available but really worth that extra cost. I enjoyed it immensely

Eastern Canada 10 Day Tour
This was our third tour with APT and disappointed this time to have not had an APT rep at the airport to meet us. Unable to contact the Vancouver office via phone or WhatsApp and spending a long time wandering around to see if rep was there and asking Airport Information to put out a message, we gave up and joined a long queue for a taxi. APT rang us back whilst in the taxi to arrange a driver! However, we were told to get a receipt and it would be reimbursed by our tour guide, which it was.
That aside, the tour went very smoothly, staying in some wonderful Fairmont hotels in Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec and Montréal and a Marriott at Niagara Falls.
Our tour guide , Lezli, was kind, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. It was unfortunate that our driver did not speak much English so unable to form a rapport with him, unlike our other two tours.
A couple of Freedom of Choice activities offered were disappointing, but maybe there weren’t options to offer any better on this tour.
Overall we had a wonderful time. We were the only Brits with 21 Aussies but were made to feel welcome and included and made great friends.
We will have no hesitation in booking with APT again.
