Service is inconsistent from one visit…

Service is inconsistent from one visit to the next as each tech does something different. Some techs thoroughly complete the service and share what services I have on my plan, where others don’t even ask if I want any inside service done as I have the inside service package so this is frustrating. It feels like if I don’t know what is all included and don’t ask for it, it won’t be done. Sometimes their equipment is not working properly so they cannot do the service I’m asking for. I’m not convinced the mosquito service is working either, which is disappointing.

I was also told by the sales rep that it was a year contract but this is not the case, it’s 12 visits and monthly is not necessary. I’m very disappointed.

Overall, the techs are very nice but it seems they are not receiving the tools to effectively do their job.

⭐ 1-Star Review: Unprofessional and Ineffective Service

I was approached by a representative who confidently told me their company could eliminate my wasp problem completely. He pointed out multiple live nests around my home, assured me they would all be removed, and promised I wouldn’t have to worry again. That reassurance was the reason I signed the contract.

Not long after their first treatment, I was attacked by a large yellowjacket nest. I ended up calling them back about five more times for follow-up visits. Each time, I was told the problem would be resolved — yet the wasps and yellowjackets kept coming back.

Out of frustration, I hired a different pest control company. They immediately showed me that several of the same wasp nests were still there — the ones this company had claimed to remove. The new company actually took them down, and since then, I haven’t had a single issue.

When I contacted this company to cancel and explain what happened, the manager was rude and dismissive. He told me I still owed $125 to get out of the contract, even though they never fixed the problem. One of their technicians even admitted he wasn’t certified to handle yellowjackets.

This company overpromises and underdelivers. They send unqualified technicians, fail to remove nests, and show no accountability when their work doesn’t meet basic expectations. I would never recommend them to anyone.

The technicians always ask us if we have anything specific we want them to look into.
The technicians do an excellent job of protecting the exterior of our home.
We also have been satisfied with the control of the moles/voles in and around our yard.

Andrew is top notch!

Andrew called me and told me that I would benefit from the upgraded plan, it was only $10 more!! I really appreciate that he was looking out for my best interest and getting the best service out of Aptive. He text me pictures of the treatment areas too. Which I also appreciate!

This is the second time techs have come…

This is the second time techs have come out in 7 days because the first time the tech only did 25% of the job, sprayed all over the windows (we have the streaks all down the coated windows) and was under the influence and has since been let go. Both times the gate was left wide open and our dog ran away. I was able to catch the first time after she got out, however I just picked her up this morning from the Animal Humane Society where she spent the night since they were closed last evening and I could not get her and had to pay for that as the gate was left open again by the new tech this time.

Scheduling has been an issue

Scheduling has been an issue. First appointment the person made it to my home an hour after the max time and I was gone. Also their arrival time is always between 8 am and 5 pm which is not helpful at all. We can’t be required to sit here for 9 hours wondering when they will show up. The second appointment got canceled on us without even knowing. The third appointment I made online and then it got changed and I didn’t get notice of that either. The techs are tired and worn out. Not rude or anything but clearly they are not having a good day. The treatment feels hastened and less than expected because of that.

Now I’m stuck with an 18 month contract and I canceled my other service which was much better quality and timeliness and scheduling. And paid a fee to do that. All based on a young sales guy that guaranteed the service and appointments would be timely and good. They are not.

Glad we chose Aptive.

The tech was amazing - he took his time spraying all over. Then he checked for cobwebs and took them down. We had problems initially getting ahold of the company, but when we found the right phone number, the person was very helpful, professional and courteous. she changed our perception of the company to very positive. Kudos for her.
