App not working in Harrogate today. Waste of time

I contacted customer service multiple times but received no reply or response. There was no traceability or follow-up on my request. The service is extremely unreliable and disappointingly poor.

Warning- park elsewhere!
The Victoria car park in Harrogate after years and years of paying on departure has recently changed to parking on arrival. Today I mistakenly forgot to pay on arrival and as soon as I realised my error I ran back to the car park to try and rectify it. No phone number available to get it sorted so
I downloaded the app and I could not backdate it to the entry time so thought the best thing I could do, and show willing, I paid for the session to start in that moment for double the time I was actually in the car park. So instead of 2 hours I paid for 4. So I have more than covered what was due, on the same day before exiting the car park. I thought a simple email would get this potential fine deleted. NOPE, no such luck. My fine is on the way. Loads of people must make the same mistake, it just a money making scheme and I will be calling the council to make them aware too. I will be avoiding that car park from now on on principle.

Garbage app. App couldn't recognise the HA446 parking location. It also appeared to only allow start times in increments of 30 mins so looks like they con you out of a few minutes if say you arrive at quarter past the hour. Couldn't properly test this though because the app didn't work. This is supposed to save you time but it does the exact opposite.

I was unable to connect with the app when I returned to Jubilee Car Park in Harrogate. Therefore I was unable pay for the time I was there. I have no idea now whether I have paid for my parking, (which was less than the time I predicted, or whether I will receive a hefty fine. Fine when it works, but not reliable.

Needed to park at a car park in Suffolk, machine does not accept card payments, and did not have the cash to pay the £8.00 for all day, so was "forced" to go into one of the listed parking agents listed on the machine, so went into the AppyParking website. When I put in my details it did not take me to anything to do with parking, but for some reason it switched to a weird site selling gaming etc! I had already entered my personal info and credit card details, so found by means of the back button was able to abort and cancel the application.
A day or so later, I received a call from my bank to say that they had put a stop on my credit card as they suspected fraudulent activity on it, somebody tried to take out a subscription for some health thing. I have never had this happen to me before (I do not do banking or financial transactions on my mobile phone) Whilst I cannot prove that this was through the weird behaviour of the appyparking website, as I was unable to pay for parking, and was taken to some unrelated website, I will avoid it in future to be on the safe side!

Cannot access app when returning to my car to end the parking session early, therefore full payment is taken. This has happened over the last few weeks, it continually asks you to sign in and create a new password when your session is live, VERY FRUSTRATING!!

Just been reading about the issue at the jubilee car park. I have just exited the car park at the broken barrier, it said payment made but the session is still open. No phone numbers anywhere, council went to an answer machine so hoping for a quick response from the email to applyparking+.

As an update the applyparking team did respond quite quickly to close my session. Still overpaid against my overall stay but all in all it could have been about worse. App needs a function to finish session if the car park barrier system fails.

I exited a carpark last Friday where the barrier had broken. As a result the session has not ended and the cist is now at over £70!
I have tried to contact Appy, to no avail. I have sent repeated emails and contacted the council to try to intervene.
How the hell do I stop this session !!!!!!!

Shocking app just got a fine as it picked the wrong parking code in the following street. Ringo far superior in every way.

By far the worst parking app of any!!!

Select a location, select a vehicle, pay for parking. That’s it, that’s how it should work. Not this app! It’s convoluted and designed to keep you paying for parking unless you ensure you stop the parking session!

This company won't take full responsibility for the wrong information that they give you in the app. They will leave you to pay the PCN.

I parked in one of the disabled bays in Havering because the app tells me it is free to park on Sundays. Then I got a PCN, and they told me they were sorry because they were a small team. The parking regulations in Havering were effective in 2018, yet the data in their app is still outdated.

Please don't rely fully on this app; do your own check. I paid the premium fee, yet the data is outdated.

Not working, again. Plus why is there no obvious start button on the homepage, when it doesn’t open on first touch, you end up tapping everywhere on the screen to get a response - any response! Didn’t work on Monday evening either

It was great for our weekend in Harrogate. Having the ability to increase the parking time is a great feature.
My complaint is that it seems limited in the area of towns and cities in the North. So after use remove app from phone until next visit to Harrogate..

Not a user friendly app, very difficult to find out how exactly to pay. I thought i had paid to come back to a parking ticket. Second time I used it I didn’t pay until the end of my session! A bizarre app.

Sadly this is a sad sad day for bikers nothing for cyclists either or in fact anything for my area like the free motorcycle parking bay at the oracle shopping centre considering there are traffic calming measures in the urban town centre and I do scooter food delivery’s this is pretty much appalling considering there are additional in application purchases for god knows what.
Great idea but considering the same could be said for biking popular places like Oxford city centre this is a bit of a let down for me.
Some features just simply missing or not all there which is a bit of a shame. Why would someone pay for this?,
I only awarded this sad excuse of a parking application one star because out of the parking bunch it seemed to be the best with at least a biking parking option but really for this to be this poor it should be included free with Google maps free of charge

I've just read the reviews and can't believe it because we have just returned from a weekend in Harrogate and used the roadside parking overnight with appyparking+ we found it so easy and cheap. We was in a parking bay that was free from 6pm until l think 7am so the app stopped charging from pm then started again in the morning, our session ran out at 11am but we had the choice to extend our session without returning to our car. Brilliant.

Just tried to use Appy Parking in Victoria Car Park Harrogate. I use it a lot and it usually works fine but this is the second time it just hasn’t registered me going up to the barrier so had to take the ticket from machine instead. Same car as usual…don’t understand why it didn’t work and disappointed I can’t rely on it!

Just got landed with a £98 bill because the new version no longer recognises my registration exiting Jubilee car park and thinks I was there for a week instead of 2 hours. Wish they would stop messing with apps that worked well

Very useful to see the kerb by kerb restrictions, street by street
