We need more people like this! Sammi Cain was awesome! I have 5 clients currently on a trip in NY going to Canada. I received a call from the lead person with questions. I quickly called Amtrak's 800# and Sammi answered. My clients wanted to know how their luggages will be handled. The would need assistance and Sammi quickly offered Red Cap service for them. I wasn't even aware that this was available! Sammi knew her stuff and was so helpful! She handled everything for me and some! She took care of all the questions I had and even provided extra. This is why we use Amtrak Vacations for our clients!

This was our first Amtrak vacation ride, and we went from Penn Station to Niagara Falls. The ride was 10 hours but the views were great, the staff was helpful and the snacks on the train were reasonably priced and delicious. We will definitely do this again, next time maybe out west !!!! And we didn't have to drive and worry about traffic anywhere.

We were booked in a great hotel, and a Arlington tour, exactly what we wanted. Booking was great

I was able to speak with Amtrak Vacation Representative - Sammi Cain on the telephone. I was having trouble with knowing if my hotel was ADA accessible. My trip is for my 87-year-old mother. I was also concerned about the check-in time which would be at 11:30 pm. (I was worried about such a late-night check-in.) I also had a number of questions about the train trip. Sammi helped me with each and every question and issue!!! I felt so much better after I spoke with her. She was kind, friendly, and knowledgeable!!! I am so grateful for her time and assistance!!!!!

I can not speak highly enough of Kevin Helton- I called expecting that there was nothing anyone could help me with since our trip was schedule for later that day with my grandma. Kevin was super understanding but he worked a miracle and got her the accommodations she needed due to her health issues. Not only that, but he went above and beyond and took the time to give me a lot of really useful tips to make our trip even better. I am so grateful for him! (and honestly all of the staff throughout this whole booking experience). I will definitely book through Amtrak Vacations again because of my experiences with Kevin and the staff like him.

We had to make some changes to our Amtrak and hotel bookings because of a change in our schedule. Sammi helped us without any glitches. Saved us some money and recommended good hotels for us to choose from. Everything turned out well. We got the help we needed and worked it out with the help of a very nice person.

I had an outstanding experience working with Victoria Peterson and Tania at Amtrak Vacations/Railbookers when an issue arose with my clients during their trip.

As a travel advisor, one of the most important things I look for in a travel partner is how they respond when something doesn’t go according to plan. My clients experienced a significant delay getting into their hotel rooms, and Victoria and Tania immediately stepped in to help. They were responsive, professional, and genuinely concerned about making things right for my clients.

What impressed me most was their follow-through. Victoria continued communicating with me, contacted the hotel directly, worked with hotel management to address what had happened, and proactively confirmed arrangements for my clients’ upcoming stay in Vancouver. Even when the hotel failed to follow through on some of the arrangements Victoria had made, she immediately took ownership of following up with them again.

Problems can happen with any trip. What separates a great travel partner from an average one is what happens afterward. Victoria and Tania demonstrated exactly the kind of customer service and support that travel advisors need when we entrust our clients to a supplier.

Thank you both for going above and beyond to advocate for my clients and for keeping me informed throughout the process. Your professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine commitment to resolving the situation were greatly appreciated. This level of service gives me confidence in continuing to work with Amtrak Vacations and Railbookers in the future.

Sami Cain was very supportive and patient in her handling an extension on a car rental. My wife and I are anticipating traveling next week and had several questions regarding this trip, Sami was willing to successfully get the car rental extension and answer our concerns and questions.

Very Disappointing Experience with Amtrak Vacations.
Unfortunately, our experience with Amtrak Vacations was extremely frustrating. The customer service was very difficult to work with, and we felt like we had to fight to get answers and assistance throughout the situation. We were not notified that our trip would be canceled. This caused a great deal with confusion and inconvenience especially because we planned our vacation around this trip.
It was extremely disappointing that they would not even reimburse us for the second half of the trip. For the amount of money and time we put into this trip, I would’ve expected better, communication, and customer service. What a disappointment with Amtrak.

Victoria Peterson's friendliness and efficiency made the experience seamless and pleasant. It was great to deal with someone who is both knowledgeable and easy to talk to. She took care of all my questions and concerns for my upcoming trip

There was some confusion with seat reservations. I called Sammi and she was able to immediately rectify the seat to business class. Furthermore, Sammi ensured the e-ticket would be updated prior to emailing over to me.

I am only doing this review on an ployee in customer service with rail bookers. Her name is Sammi Cain, and she handled all of my issues with no problems. She was one of the nicest customer service agents I've ever dealt with. You need to keep her on board (pun intended). She was pleasant, but professional. If everyone acted like her the world would be a better place.
On the same note, we had a train attendant on the Empire Builder that left Chicago on the 18the of August, 2026 that was excellent! I do not know his last name, but his first name is Michael. He was simply great!!!

I had some issues booking my trip ( on my banks end, no fault to Amtrak ) and all the representatives I spoke to were extremely helpful. Kevin G did an amazing job of curating a trip that worked for my grandma and myself, and finding ways to make her wishes happen. I also cannot speak highly enough of Victoria , who stayed on the phone with me for an hour and helped talked to my bank about the payment issues we were having. Overall I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who asked!
