Title: Extremely Disappointing Experience – Still No Refund After More Than Five Months

I placed my order on 26 January 2026, and my dress arrived at the end of February 2026. Unfortunately, everything that happened after that has been extremely disappointing.

I decided to return the dress and carefully followed the return instructions provided by Allurelily. I sent the parcel to the return address given by the company and paid £26 for the return shipping. After waiting for a long time, I was informed that my return had not reached their warehouse.

What I do not understand is this: the return address was provided by Allurelily. If there was a problem with the address or the warehouse, why was I given that address? I have repeatedly asked the company to explain what happened and to investigate the issue properly, but I have never received a clear explanation.

Instead, every time I contacted customer service, I received almost the same standard replies. No one has taken responsibility, no one has explained where my return went, and no real effort has been made to resolve my case.

It has now been more than five months, and my issue is still unresolved. I have still not received my refund. I paid for the dress, I paid £26 to return it, and I am now left with neither the dress nor my money.

As a customer, I followed every instruction provided by the company. I expected my return to be handled properly and my refund to be processed. Instead, I have been left to deal with this problem alone.

This has been one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I have ever had. I sincerely hope no other customer has to go through the same experience. I strongly advise anyone considering ordering from Allurelily to think carefully, especially if there is any possibility they may need to return an item.

Where do I begin?
I would never buy from this company again. The dress I received looks nothing like the one advertised on their website. The quality, structure, fabric, and overall appearance are completely different from the product photos.

The most frustrating part has been the customer service. Instead of simply providing return instructions, they repeatedly sent me long emails trying to discourage me from returning the dress. They kept telling me that international shipping is expensive, that shipping takes a long time, that the package could be damaged in transit, and that this might affect my refund. None of these issues are my responsibility as a customer.

They also suggested that I sell the dress to someone else, donate it, or keep it for the future, rather than processing my return. This is completely unacceptable when the item is not as advertised.

Although they claim they accept returns, they make the process as difficult and intimidating as possible by repeatedly mentioning inspections, deductions, shipping risks, and potential reductions to the refund instead of simply giving clear return instructions.

To make matters worse, after all these emails, they have now stopped responding, even though I have clearly stated that I want to return the dress. I am still waiting for the return address and instructions.

I expected a professional company that stands behind its products. Instead, I received a dress that does not match the advertisement and a customer service experience focused on avoiding a return rather than helping the customer. I cannot recommend this company.

I bought a dress from the Allurelily website. When I received it weeks later, the dress was not the same as pictured. One the website, the dress had a tight piece of netting over one shoulder. In reality, the netting was a big poof on my shoulder, too large to even sit there, sliding down to my elbow. They do not tell you about the high international return fees and give you a difficult time about return. They want me to keep it for another event (no thank you) or give it to someone, sell it on my own. I just want my money back which is customary when you purchase something and find that it does not look the same as the online photo.

I do not recommend buying from Allurelily.

The dress I received was not the same as the one advertised on their website. The design, appearance, and overall quality were significantly different from the product photos, making it a clear case of false representation.

I contacted customer service immediately because I had not worn or used the dress. Instead of taking responsibility for sending an item that did not match the description, they tried to make me pay return shipping and deduct additional fees from my refund.

This is unacceptable. Customers should not have to pay for a company’s mistake when the product received is not as advertised.

I have kept all the email correspondence, photos comparing the advertised product with the one I received, and proof that the item was never used.

I hope the company will do the right thing by providing a full refund without any deductions. Until then, I cannot recommend this business to anyone.

For anyone thinking a pricier dress automatically means good quality, please do not be fooled! My experience: 1. The dress arrived at the wrong address. 2. Had to contact the people where the dress arrived myself and ship it to my address. 3. The dress looks nothing like on the website. 4. Sent the wrong dress and would not refund. This was not a "buyer initiated return" because I did not like it or it was the wrong size or I chose another. It was THE WRONG DRESS. I ordered a ruched burgundy velvet sequined gown. It arrived after a month, although regular USPS delivery was advertised. The dress I received was NOT velvet but cheap satin. It was also NOT burgundy but cherry red. Instead of sequins the dress was adorned with tacky rhinestones. It had no tags of any kind so no size designation, cleaning instructionsd. Clearly a factory knockoff worth about $25 instead of the $157 I paid.
Customer service claimed I would have to pay for shipping to return and "wouldn't I rather just try to sell it to someone else?" After weeks of back and forth autobot messages the company is not returning any messages to rectify situation.

I gave them 2 stars because one of the dresses I received served the purpose, and I paid for expedited shipping and received the dress within a short amount of time. If not for that, I would give them a zero for their return process. It completely sucks, and it’s clear they try their hardest not to give anyone their money back. I ordered two dresses for a wedding, I received both, dresses fit good but one dress color was wrong. In terms of the quality of the dress, you get what you pay for. I paid $30 to expedite shipment, I received both dresses in about three weeks which is not bad generally speaking. I tried to return the dress that was the wrong color. They have been giving me the run around for weeks. Clearly a sham company. Their website lists a California address and phone number. When I called that number, they said they are not affiliated with Allurelily. The dress is shipped from China, but they sent me a fake Dubai address to return it, which will likely result in the dress getting lost and me not having the dress nor my money back. I emailed them and they just keep giving me the runaround. It’s my fault, clearly I should’ve looked at the company reviews online before I purchased it. But I was desperate for a dress before my daughter‘s wedding. So I knew what I was getting into, but buyer beware!

The dress looks similar to the photos. Fabric is lighter than expected but still okay for events. Delivery took longer than I thought.

Soft lighting that works well for the space. Although a screw was missing, it was promptly provided by support.

Delivery was delayed by a few days, but customer service replied and the dress arrived in good condition.

I was honestly unsure about ordering a dress online from Allurelily because i wasn't familiar with the brand. I needed it for a wedding so i took the risk. When it arrived, the dress looked very close to the photos and fit me better than expected.

What a scam people! DO NOT BUY AND WASTE YOUR MONEY. I have ordered a dress and it was nothing like the picture on the web! Nothing matched even the size was wrong after sending measurements via email. Also paid for it 160£ as paid extra for the fast delivery. Customer service absolutely useless, they have told me I can not return and get a refund back and instead I should sell it to someone else myself! Wow, wow, wow. Please do not buy for here and waste your money as I did.

The dress was poorly made, not representing the photo, and their return policy is outrageous. Deduction after deduction from shipping to restocking fees to DUBAI! Please do not waste your money on a product which took a month to arrive only to have it basically non-returnable. There are many other reputable dress companies to purchase from.

HORRIBLE company to do business with. I purchased a dress from them and when it finally arrived a month later, the dress looks nothing like what they advertise. The photos they have of their models in dresses are completely illegitimate. The dress I ordered was “polyester” and it was a cheap fabric. It fit weird. Didn’t look anything like the picture. Felt cheap. Was poorly made. I requested a return and a full refund and it’s been a bargaining game ever since I requested a return. They threaten you with high return fees since they are apparently out of Dubai. After I spent 175$ on what I assumed would be a relatively high quality dress based on the price. My first 2 emails and 1 call were ignored until I hit them with a 3rd email letting them know I would be working with my CC to dispute the charges then suddenly I get an email stating I must not have read their response. I checked spam and email daily and there was nothing. The dress is of cheap material, poorly constructed and their advice is for me to resell it myself since sending back is very expensive.
I’m not sure who is putting out positive reviews on their website but this is a horrible company to do business with. Poor quality and even worse customer service.

Theyll take your money and send you nothing. Do NOT buy from them.

I resent even giving one star to these gangsters. I have been waiting weeks for my wedding dress. I have been fobbed off with stupid excuses but my wedding day is next Tuesday and it’s not here. Judging by other peoples’ experiences it seems even if it does arrive it will be a rag. When will the police crack down on these scammers? It’s not fair!

Don’t do it. Don’t do it. The photos they have of their models in dresses are completely illegitimate. The dress I ordered was “polyester” and it was a cheap cheap tulle dress. It fit weird. Didn’t look anything like the picture. Felt cheap. Was poorly made. Of course I immediately requested a return and a full refund and it’s been a bargaining game ever since I requested a return. They offered me 15% just to keep the dress and not return it which is about 25$. After I spent 175$ on what I assumed would be a high quality dress based on the price. I demanded a full refund once again and they once again offered me 15% just to keep it. I’m beyond frustrated, horrible company. Horrible dress. Horrible customer service. Don’t do it. You have been warned.
