From start to finish we found the team at AK solar to helpful, efficient and extremely polite. The advice beforehand was excellent. Their quote was competitive and work came with top quality and workmanship. The turnaround for install and work on the day was quick and efficient. All paperwork for grant was completed quickly. Would highly Recommend.

Extremely professional and efficient process. I dealt with Niall in sales who gave us a great offer and was a pleasure to deal with. It was less than 6 weeks from when we went ahead with the quote to install of the panels. Alan who installed the panels is a professional roofer with over 40 years experience and based on the quality of the install you would be lucky to have someone with such experience working on your roof. The electricians were a pleasure to deal with, they explained the difference aspects of the Eddi and the apps to us. They went out of their way to make the finish extremely tidy. All the admin was completed by Clare and Rose in the office who were very responsive on emails and were on top of everything. Very pleased with my experience with AK solar and would be happy to recommend them

I was recommended AK Solar by colleagues. I still got a couple of other quotes but AK were the one of the most competitive whilst also being very happy to answer all my questions. The communication was excellent and the admin team take care of all the paperwork. The turnaround time was quick and the team on the install day were fantastic. The lads were very tidy and took the time to go through the app set up and make sure we were comfortable with how the system worked. 100% recommend.

I would be very happy to recommend AK Solar. The whole process was very seamless from the initial proposal to the installation. I was very impressed with the installation of the kit which took less than six hours. Everyone involved really knew what they were doing. Everything was explained very well by Alan and Frankie and the organisation by Clare and Rose was excellent with the BER arranged immediately and the SEAI grant application made. I literally had to do nothing.

I went with AK Solar based on a neighbour's recommendation and the competitive quote. The installation team arrived as scheduled and by lunch time the job was complete. I was immediately generating my own solar energy and sending the excess to the grid. Alan looked after the panel installation and Frankie dealt with the electrics. They were extremely efficient yet still had time to discuss and explain the installation options and working the system. All the work was very tidy and no mess was left behind. Clare and Rose on the admin team are also very responsive and make the SEAI grant application and the registration for microgeneration scheme very easy. I can recommend the team with no reservation.

AK Solar have been have been a pleasure to deal with from my initial inquiry right though to installation and follow up processing the grant claims.
Our installation included the removal of old thermal tubes and then the installation of the new PV panels, battery, Eddi and a curbside EV charger. Nothing was a problem for the guys and they were extremely efficient and friendly. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
Rose and Clare have also been amazing coordinating everything and made grant submission process very easy.

Having had this company recommended to me, I was expecting good customer service. AK Solar did not disappoint. On the administrative side, from initial enquiry to follow-up query, all interactions were courteous, efficient and clear. They assisted with linkage to SEAI (who were equally efficient). The technical team were polite, professional and a neat job was completed in a few hours with minimal disruption. I would highly recommend AK Solar.

I found the whole task of researching Solar Panels, what size/type of system to go with etc quite daunting, so really needed to be able to find a company I felt I could trust. AK Solar had received consistently positive reviews on an online forum but also gave me an extremely competitive quote (the best of three quotes that I received). Clare and Rose in the office could not have been more helpful (Clare was extremely patient with my queries) and Rose made the grant application process utterly seamless. The install had a short lead-in time, and was completed very quickly and tidily on the day. Likewise, my husband found the lads installing very pleasant to deal with. I had 10 panels fitted with a hybrid inverter in under 4 hours. The system looks flawless, very clean and tidy work carried out during installation by both roofers and electricians.

The electricians were a pleasure to deal with, they explained the difference aspects of the Eddi and the apps to me patiently. The BER was organised promptly Clare and Rose in the office are top notch at their jobs- they were very responsive on emails and on top of everything. It was less than 3 weeks from uploading the BER to payment of the SEAI grant into our account (and 5 weeks or so from install). Very pleased with my experience with AK solar and would be happy to recommend them.

We got three different and very varied quotes and were recommended by a work colleague to go with AK solar. Eric gave good advice on what we required and didnt put us under pressure or hard sell. The turnaround from ordering to delivery was quick also. Overall, we are happy with the neat and tidy job and would recommend.

From the first moment, everything seemed professional and efficient - and trustworthy. Communication was quick and clear. Questions were answered. And the installation team were pleasant and keen to help. And there is follow-up arranged for the one outstanding task (adding a socket for use of the battery in the event of a power cut).

TBH I was bamboozled with solar companies and their products, offerings and services... so went to see a job that AK Solar did and on the back of that got them to put up 20 panels, hybrid inverter and Eddi... figure batteries will get better... so am battery ready. Look, AK Solar just do it right. No mess. No fuss. Clean installation. Nothing left hanging! Had a small problem with the Eddi... electrician arrives down, bing, bang bosh Eddi fixed... no hassle or fuss and Clare is just straight up all the time. No hesitation in recommending them. And the lads who arrived down couldn't be more knowledgeable or more professional. Service won't be a problem.

Firstly as someone who’s had a very bad experience with solar panel installation in the past , I’m very happy to say I couldn’t speak more highly of AK SOLAR, it isn’t just that everyone involved there is a pleasure to deal with, the risk of engaging the big companies is , that they might have put another new crew on the road last week or the week before, 11 years ago I had 10 panel installed on my roof, they wrecked my roof, it has been leaking since,I lay awake when it rained listening to drops coming through the ceiling and light fittings, despite many efforts at repairing the damage , eventually all the panels had to be removed and extensive repairs done ,including replacing rotting rafters ,roof tiles and felt , I chose AK SOLAR on the recommendation of a well respected and experienced builder , who told me that Alan, the MD of AK SOLAR, is the best roofer that he ever worked with, believe me , this time it’s incredibly reassuring to know I had an expert ,experience professional on the job , who takes such pride in his work, I sleep much better and the panels are working incredibly well, far , far better that I expected 😀
