I cannot recommend AK Solar enough! From start to finish, Clare, the operational manager, was an absolute delight to work with. During our initial conversation, Clare took the time to explain the system they supply in detail, making everything easy to understand. She assured me of their quality workmanship and mentioned they're a family-run business that truly takes pride in their work, and she was spot on!

Eric, the salesman, was also incredibly helpful during the site visit. He walked me through various potential locations for the battery and inverter installation and pinpointed the perfect spot where the cables could run from the attic to the fuse board with minimal drilling.

Frankie, the electrician, was brilliant! He was so friendly and kind and did a super neat job wiring up the inverter and battery in the attic. He did all the work by himself and was super clean you wouldn't know he was there!

Alan, who is a roofer by trade, took good care when installing the panels, ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. The team installed the solar panels in just half a day and even future-proofed my system by adding an additional string to the shunt, allowing for more panels to be added later if I choose.

Overall, I’m thrilled with the system and how it was set up. If you’re considering solar, I would 100% recommend them to anyone starting their solar journey as their reviews speak to themselves!

Very professional job done. Eric on the initial call was very pleasant, offered good advice and wasn’t anyway pushy with the sale. Clare was very good to deal with, quick to respond to queries etc.

Used Ak Solar in Aug 23 to get some panels installed and again in Oct 24 to add further panels and a battery. The process was smooth from start to finish from the initial engagement with the team on seeing what would suit my house and all the way through to install. Alan and the team who installed on both occasions were excellent, got the job done quickly and neatly with no disruption. Also very accommodating when i needed to change dates of install. No hesitation in recommending AK Solar to anyone who is thinking of installing panels.

Without doubt, we made the right choice when we chose AK Solar to do our solar installation recently. The numerous other positive reviews reflect our experience from start to finish. All at AK from Eric in sales, Clare and Rose in admin and the lads in the installation team were professional, efficient and courteous. With excellent workmanship, the installation was completed punctually, swiftly and with minimal disruption. Highly recommended.

Exceptional experience! From the start Eric was great and patient with me giving me many quotes. When the order was placed the team delivered much quicker than I anticipated (it may be possible to get it sooner if you split the install over multiple days). The install went flawlessly and works very well. The team on the ground were one of the friendlies and most informative I have ever had doing work on the house. I am going to install my own battery and see how that goes.

Our journey started with Eric in Sales, very informative on the products. The Duracell battery sold it to me. I was surprised at how quick the install happened. Alan arrived on the morning and fitted 10 very neat panels. Frankie &Joey arrived later in the morning and did a class job getting cables from attic to kitchen ESB board. AK Solar funnily was recommended to me by a random reddit user. Super easy and transparent communication from the very beginning. The installation was quick and efficient, and everyone was a pleasure to deal with. I really wish every trader were like that in Ireland.

My first encounter was with Clare, who was incredible at answering my questions and ensuring that Eric in Sales would provide me with a proposal and the call out to visit us. Once agreeing to move forward I was given a date of 3 weeks (weather permitting) for installation.
Day of installation I was greeted by Alan (owner & roofer), Frankie & Joey the electricians and Vlad another roofer. All the gents on site for the day was complete gentlemen and a pleasure to deal with.

So from start to finish I worked with a full team, Clare dealt with all my queries, scheduling, Rose with SEAI grant help, Eric for sales and information on the process, how many panels and batteries and then the installation team. A wonderful experience with the most helpful group of people and now the app is up and running my husband and I get to see the power we are pushing back to the grid rather than paying our energy provider.

I 100% recommend AK Solar. A+ service

I had AK Solar install a south facing 4.2kWp system in June 2023, they were really competitive on price and everyone I dealt with from start to finish was great. I didn’t go with a battery at the time as I wanted to figure out our usage etc. I decided to go with a battery and went with AK solar again for the installation. Glad to see that the same work quality and service is still there a year on. Really happy with the work and would happily recommend them. Great price, service and work.

Very impressed by my whole experience with AK Solar. They offered a very competitive quote and they were lightening quick with the installation, providing optimizers where it made sense to. I can testify that all of the work was done in a very tidy and professional manner. My dad is a retired electrician so I always look to him for this kind of work and he was really impressed with the quality of their work and how neat and tidy it was. After much deliberation we are delighted to have chosen AK Solar for our Solar system install. I had modified my original order a couple of times and priced extra panels, batteries and removal of hot water diverter. All documentation was promptly handled by Rose, with grant applied for and NC6 completed for microgeneration credit ahead of install. Installation by Alan Frankie and Joey was very straight forward, they arrived nice and early on the planned date and quickly got to work with minimal disruption. The team were a pleasure to deal with and very informative about the how the system worked answering all my questions and discussing different solutions with me. Two weeks after install we are delighted with the system and how well it is working. The panels looks very smart and tidy on the roof thanks the well placed install by Alan who maximised the available space, there is even room for some more panels if I decide in the future. I would highly recommend the team at AK Solar to take care of all your solar needs.

A lovely company to deal with couldn't fault anything, they arrived early on the day of installation and got straight to work. explained everything they were going to do. Very polite and friendly. The company ran through everything from the BER cert to the install, filled out all the forms for me to claim my grant back and to set me up to export back to the grid. They were very helpful and knowledgeable. Could not recommend them enough.

A joy to deal with. Really responsive with all admin / grant requirements. Very happy price wise and with the instal. Lovely crew. Any post instal questions have been answered promptly. Would highly recommend.

These guys were fantastic from the beginning. I’m a worrier and had a lot of questions. I believe 8 pm one evening they got back to me when I rang after 6. Always seems to be someone there to help. The electricians (two brothers) I can’t remember there names were bang on. The the guys who put the panels on the roof were sound. I added two more on the day and no issues. I love having panels. Clair and rose are on the ball. Everything done. Just waiting on my grant to come back but that’s a government thing. AK Solar done there bit and cc’d me in everything.
