Visited the store in Saffron Walden to purchase some gifts. Staff were happy for their dog to wander around the store having contact with anyone entering the store, also happy to handle the items I placed on the counter (no gloves) ...... however they would not accept a banknote from me due to Covid-19 ...... merely saying there was a notice on the door, not a very obvious notice I must say and nothing in store, or, from what I can seen on the website.
I contacted customer services to point out on that occasion I had no bank card with me that day and indeed some older people and younger people do not use or have access to cards or contactless payments. The response received was defensive and although followed up by me no reply was received to the points above.

Visited the Adnams Cafe in Southwold, expecting the great quality and service experienced at several Adnams pubs. However, the experience was farcical, with people allowed to que jump, short tempered staff, extremes of covid protection (none and ott ),a simple order that was delivery incorrectly twice! perhaps Adnams could put a pub manager in charge for a few months to lick it into shape.

Used to be great when they used DPD. But now they use Yodel and its so poor. Same order items get delivered on different days and sometimes not at all. Free delivery has gone up from £50 to over £80 now. Love the beers but getting them delivered is the issue.

My first online order with Adnams in late March did not go well, even allowing for Covid-19 and the lockdown restrictions, it simply took too long to arrive (circa 5 weeks). But since then, they've improved their operation significantly and my orders in May and June have been arriving within 3 days, which is very good in the circumstances and comparable with their competitors over at Greene King (whose beer is a similar quality but slightly more expensive). Will definitely order from Adnams again.

Avoid if you need something delivered before a certain day. If you can wait weeks and I mean weeks then you maybe ok.

I placed an order on 26th March and because of the current situation I didn't expect it to be delivered quickly but I am still waiting for it. I was told on Wednesday that it would be delivered yesterday but guess what it didn't arrive and now I can't get through to them. I have left messages and e - mails but they never reply. Steer clear.

Ordered lots of beer for Christmas, easy ordering process, kept me updated with Yodel (yes the worst delivery company ever in my opinion) reference number.
As expected with Yodel it never turned up, Yodel claimed there was no answer when I was in all afternoon.
Phoned Adnams the next day, and they sent a replacement out straight away, I could hear in the background that their office was manic! (Well it was Xmas) Second delivery arrived with no issues.
Great beer and great customer services, just let down by cheap delivery company. . . .
Beer isn’t cheap, but if you want quantity over quality go for fosters.
If you want quality over quantity go for Adnams.

To be honest 2 stars is generous - this is only because the wine is good.

Customer service however is terrible.
I ordered 30 bottles of wine for the end of term (teachers presets) and a present for a client.

It never turned up.
Adnams blamed it on Yodel.
Customer service never replied to emails, phone calls were answered with a tired reticence, and it took over a month to get a refund on wine that was never posted.

We were eventually issued with an apology via phone and promised wine sent as a way of apology - guess what - that never turned up either.

Shoddy, will never order via Adnams again, which is a shame as the wine (purchased form the shop in Southwold) is great.

Please sort out your customer service and online experience please Adnams, we have gone elsewhere.

I bought a Gin Club membership. There have been mistakes with delivery, confusion and delay over paying refunds due and now Adnams have told me they are giving up the Gin Club and not honouring outstanding subscriptions. Not good, especially when it was given as a gift. No compensation offered, just a refund for undelivered gin, which has not yet been paid (they have had this money for nearly a year). Don't see why I should have to keep chasing this and also inform recipient as to what has happened. Very unimpressed.

Ordered a take away and wife went to pick it up and over charged her a £10 so not been back lost my custom so check your bills most of the food is ok

Beer . But customer service 0.
Had a issue with a purchase of there Adnams ghost ship it cans .
When opening the cans contents emptied there self over kitchen work top .
Every can was the same .
Not opened all a once.
This happened over few days .
Cans had just been removed from fridge .
Emailed Adnams with batch number and bar code . Telling them of the problem.
Guess what no reply .

Who couldn't love Adnams?!

The beer, the service and the staff are absolutely fantastic. Their own brand wine could be better but I've loved their brewery tour and am a regular purchaser of their beers.

Supermarkets very often have their staple beers (lighthouse, Ghost Ship etc) on offer but the more specialist beers (Triple etc) are brilliantly priced.

I found an Argentinian wine that I could not find elsewhere at Adnams at a really good price, easy to order and delivery was very quick 2 days. I would order from them again, very pleased.

Brilliant beer, had a slight issue with a damaged box on delivery but the customer service was suberp and all issues resolved. Excellent service :)

Great beer and great customer service. I can't understand all the negative reviews! I used the promo code as many others and yes, initially they cancelled many orders but then they decided to honour them. You guys have to understand it's a small brewery! Their deal went viral. on one of the deal sites, it reached almost 2000 likes! I'm impressed they managed to deal with such a response. Some people leaving all the negative review must be really greedy. Once again: great beer at amazing prices!

Two orders turned up very quickly. Very happy

Initially cancelled order due to error on their part, finally decided to honour the order. Happy with outcome.

Wife got me their advent calender as a gift, it offered a great selection of beers over a month and I ended up with another 70 quid order over the xmas period. Adnams make some great beers and their delivery is fast and their charges are fair.

Recently they made an error on an offer with many people demanding free beer and are taking some heat for it, but these complaints have no reflection to the quality of the beer or the level of service they offer 99% of the time. (I wont lie... i chanced a cheeky order too, you gotta be in it to win it - it didnt pan out this time)
edit..... actually they did honour it so hopefully the 1* people will now update to 5* and others will log in to praise them. Sadly life does not usually work like that.

Ordered lots of stuff from them including beers, chutneys, merchandise etc. They took and received full cash payment in their bank accounts for everything and then purposely lied and claimed they were out of stock and said they wouldn't send any of the goods to me or honour the purchase(??). This was despite everything still being in stock but them now charging more money for it on their website. Totally fraudulent criminal behaviour. Will report them and take further action. Disgusting and no way to run a business. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE FRAUDSTERS.

Cancelled order due to lack of stock, yet they are still taking orders for the same product.
