Having bought a mobility scooter nearly two years ago we recently had difficulty in putting the scooter in the car.We went to the Ableworld branch in Hanley Stoke on Trent and the staff Kev and Dawn where extremely helpful Apart from being so very friendly and knowledgeable they sorted us out and even put the scooter in our car.It is a great shame that in this day and age all companies could not be the same.Excellent service and we’ll definitely be back there when we decide to upgrade

My mother wanted to purchase a mobility scooter for me and on visiting the ableworld store in fenton she was greeted warmly by staff members Kevin and Dawn. They were both helpful in suggestions and also practicality. When I arrived to pick up the scooter all paperwork was ready to complete and all safety information was ready for me to look at as well as to test the scooter out. Kevin helped my husband to put it in the car safely and checked we were co portable both it all before completing the purchase. Great team.

Very good service and knowledge from Kev ,nothing was too much trouble and all questions answered. We brought the mobility scooter from the Hanley store and test drove before we purchased. He helped us to put it in our car and take it apart and gave us a good demo of putting it together. Very good service

I required a Stairlift to enable my wife to be able to return to sleeping upstairs again due to the fact that her health prevented her from going upstairs and we were sleeping downstairs for nearly a year. I contacted Able world and arranged for someone to come over to have a chat about the stairlift. Good price and booked a new stairlift to be fitted. Mark arrived on time, fitted stairlift, clean and tidy, showed the in's and out's, and can't praise Mark anymore as he was a good laugh and nothing was too much trouble. Thanks Mark, all is running so great. We are back to the way we were before my wife had her accident and had to sleep downstairs, and I am back in a bed too, not sleeping on the floor. Great company, Ableworld.

I visited the Hanley Ableworld store this morning to enquire about a riser/recliner chair for my sister. Dawn was amazing. Her depth of knowledge was first class. Very caring, no pushy sales service. I had intended to visit 2 other stores but, instead, picked my sister up, returned to the store and purchased the riser/recliner chair, a wheelchair plus a few other items. Highly satisfied, was a pleasure to shop there. Dawn went beyond the call of duty.

Definitely avoid this company if you dont have money to burn.
My dad spent alot on a mobility scooter and apart from testing it outside the shop he only managed to go up the ramp of his flat before he had to go into McMillian, where he past away soon after. Contacting out local ableworld store to see about returning it and was very rudely told we only had 28 days to return ( thar day was the day after he passed), and we should of told them.
They also have no compassion and the women said it happens all the time and not their problem. Also as the scooter has a 2 year warranty if we were to sell it or give it to someone else the warranty is not transferable.
The staff at the Hanley branch need lessons on being human and caring, and show some sympathy to people going through this.

Second visit to the store today and Jonathan was brilliant helping my mother with her new wheelchair & and advice on a riser chair that we'll be purchasing soon. Really relaxed experience and I would fully recommend anyone that is looking for mobility items to give the store a try.

We were assisted today by Jonathon who was incredibly helpful, sensitive, honest and above all compassionate.
We were purchasing a mobility aid for a person reluctant to surrender to their disability. Jonathan focused on promoting independence which created such a positive vibe and made the purchase a success.

We have been using Ableworld for a number of years all beit only small purchases in the past. Today we went in to look at power rise and recline chairs. We were greeted by Jonathan, who explained where the chairs were and left us to try out various chairs at our leisure. When we had questions he answered them fully and with ease and explained the difference between chairs. When we finally agreed on a chair again nothing was to much trouble explaining about the Guarantees etc and the delivery times etc. He also made sure the chair was correct for my mum, ensuring her ankles were in correct place when in recline mode due to him seeing that my mum has swollen ankles( he explained he wasn't medically trained but anyone can see the issue). Again at point of sale he explained everything fully in detail regarding paperwork, vat exemption and such like. I can not praise the store and Jonathan's approach to us today he made us feel like a friend not just a customer.

Dawn at Hanley Stoke-on-Trent was very helpful. Firstly on the phone she advised me what batteries I needed for my mobility scooter. Then in store even though she was very busy, she fitted the batteries for me.

They offered to come out to our home to see if we could do what we wanted, given the hill where we lived. Eventually, on their advice, we ended buying an excellent walker, which is perfect for our needs and easily packs into the back of our car. Their service was first class, really helpful.

Fantastic service! I was very anxious about buying a wheelchair for the first time, I didn’t really have a clue what I needed, but I was never rushed and the assistant, who I think from looking at the receipt was called Jonathan, was incredibly helpful and patient. He got a number of wheelchairs out so I could try the full range. We finally settled on one and it was the right choice, it’s fits perfectly in to my little car and is so easy to put together. I visited the Hanley store with my parents to look for mobility scooters. We were given time to look around and then we asked for assistance. Jonathan helped us to find the right ones that would be suitable for their needs. He was very knowledgeable and patient whilst we asked questions and tried the scooters on the car park. He stated that if we had any further questions or needed assistance then we could call or pop in to the shop. A few days after the scooters were delivered my parents had a problem with one of the scooters so Jonathan visited them at home to sorted it. I can not praise Jonathan enough for all that he has done to assist my parents in having their first mobility scooters. I would highly recommend this store for equipment.
