I would highly recommend this company. I ordered the 12x12 deck and with the easy instructions I was able to build the deck by myself in a day. I’m already looking into another deck.

Overall the project came together
Overall the project came together but I did a lot of research on building decks before building this deck and I was looking for areas where it said to level the foundation or make sure the whole project was square before moving from one step to another but I felt the directions lacked those caveats. I built the deck for about 2 hours a day after work in the hot sun and between heat exhaustion, heavy beams, and just being a little sick it took about 10 hours or would have if not taking the occasional day off

GO TO HOME DEPOT, it’s cheaper
We ordered our deck on 5/25/26, website says 10-14 business days for shipping. Today 6/24 I’m being told it will ship on 6/26/26 but from San Diego and would be another week from then.. Your company is in listed as New Jersey, phone day Miami and you ship from S.D… I’m starting to think your a spam company, I’m ready to cal the BBB. For the almost $5g we have spent you would think communication would be better.. you should be giving money off for your lies about shipping, praying I have this by 7/3 or I’ll be calling my credit card company

What’s important for people to know.
Honestly nobody care. It wasn’t entirely as I had expected from what they labeled. I got the product for a backyard decoration party and it sucks. I had to go buy other materials to fix the damn thing. Which made the whole cost more expensive.

a terrible experience
Shipping was a terrible experience. Then the kit arrives the directions didn't even match the pieces to the kit. I was missing footings so had to go buy material to do that. Then, many of the pieces were missing the color coded labels. Lastly, you would think for the price there would be some pre drilled holes.... there isn't. If you are okay with overpaying for basically just precut boards then I'd go for it, but this was absolutely not worth the money. Also, they said easy to install regardless if the ground is level the way their system is designed actually made it more difficult than building from scratch when trying to level it.

Great product!
The ease of ordering my new deck, the cost was in line with my budget. The staff was professional and answered all my questions. The delivery was ok but had its own challenges. Luckily I didn't mind helping the poor delivery driver unload over a ton of materials. Perhaps next time A-DIY Decks will choose a different delivery company that will staff it's delivery trucks with the correct amount of drivers and helpers. Overall I would rate your company a 7 out of 10, only because of the negative experience with delivery.

The customer service from day one was great. I had not seen the specific size deck I wanted so reached out and the team was very responsive and said it wasn't a problem at all accommodating the size I needed.
Absolutely everything needed came with the kit. I didn't need to get anything extra. The build process could not have been simpler.

Exceptional customer service and quality product
The salesman answered all my questions. I was able to track my order easily. When it arrived there was one cracked board. I took a picture and responded to the email they sent asking if the order had arrived in good condition. I received my new board within a week. The quality of the wood was outstanding! The instructions are clear and all the pieces are clearly marked. We have already highly recommended ADIY to our friends. We will be putting it together next week and are beyond excited!

Easy build 12x12 pressure treated deck
I bought 12x12 pressure treated deck. Great company communication throughout. All materials come packaged in a crate (too heavy to lift, so delivered in a convenient spot next to house). The material is packaged in order of use as you take from the top, allowing us to time our build over several evenings without having lumbar scattered across the yard and remaining protected in the crate. Instructions are clear and there’s also an online step by step video guide.
I’m not a construction oriented individual, but my wife and I put it all together (including site prep) in four evenings. About 16 hours, including beer breaks - and it still came out level and great looking. We put a sauna on it and now it’s our favorite place in the yard.
Easy, painless, cost effective. Am planning on a second deck and will use A-Diy again.

16 x 28 grey composite deck
I ordered the 16 x 28 composite deck in grey, with 39 inch risers, for my front porch. It went together very well. I love it. I am so happy with it that I ordered another 16 x 28 for my back porch. The front is finished except the gazebo and rod iron railings ( which will be later).
The back porch is almost finished, and I ordered another smaller deck for my sliding glass door. 5 star.

Precut and color coded pieces were extremely easy to work with. Good quality material.
Instructions were "ok". Struggled with a few things not clear.
Not all boards were predrilled which would have been easier if they were.
ONE JOIST WAS MISSING. This was a big deal. We were in the middle of the assembly when we realized there was one missing. We didn't have time nor patience to contact and wait for a replacement so we purchased one ourselves.

Can be built by one person
As a 61-year-old retiree, I was able to assemble my 12 x 24 composite deck completely by myself (on a compound slope, no less). This is a credit to their design team's ability to make the build process nearly "Lincoln Log" esque. The fit was spot on for the most part, and only minor adjustments were needed. Typical of any large construction project. I came up short of a few composite screws and plugs, but their customer service quickly sent me the missing parts. They even reimbursed me for one board I had to replace due to warpage. I saved enough money by doing it myself, it was like getting the hot tub I put on it for free.

Hi,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience and for leaving such a thoughtful review!
We're especially thrilled to hear that you were able to build your 12' x 24' composite deck entirely on your own, on a compound slope, no less! That's an incredible accomplishment, and it's exactly what our team strives for when designing our deck kits: making the building process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible for homeowners of all experience levels.
We also appreciate your understanding that minor adjustments can be part of any construction project, and we're glad our customer support team was able to quickly provide the replacement screws, plugs, and reimbursement for the warped board. Ensuring you have everything you need to complete your project is always a top priority for us.
It means a great deal to know that building the deck yourself helped you save enough to add a hot tub, that's a fantastic bonus, and we hope you enjoy many years of relaxing and making memories in your new outdoor space.
Thank you again for choosing A-DIY.com and for trusting us with your project. We truly appreciate your support and wish you many wonderful moments on your new deck.

The kit was not as easy as advertised
The kit was not as easy as advertised. The directions are not accurate. Had to email, text and call for assistance over 15 times. Some wood pieces were bent and did not fit properly. Planks did not line up, I sent multiple pictures showing all the issues. I am not satisfied with the product, but it would be to much to return so I guess 6,000 dollars was wasted. we now hope my deck is secure because the planks would not fit correctly no matter all the different ways they suggest we place them.eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I had a fantastic experience from start to finish and can highly recommend this company. The whole process was smooth, professional and stress free. Customer service was excellent, always available, even after the initial purchase and delivery. That level of support really made a difference. The delivery was also great. Everything arrived exactly as expected and in perfect condition. Most importantly, the deck looks amazing. It was fairly easy to install, being this my first ever big DIY project (never used a drill and never worked with wood before). I am extremely happy with the final results and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality products and outstanding service.
