I woudn't recomend 8yardkilt to anyone, even my enemys
I had the misfortune to decide to deal with this company.
I ordered a waistcoat for my Granddaughters wedding.
I gave them all the sizes as requested, chose the Heritage of Scotland tartan (same as my existing trews and kilt) All looked good so I placed my order.
When the waistcoat arrived it was in a disgusting state creased, infact an iron had never been near it. Made to measure!!!!!!!! I dont think so, most of the measurements bore no or very little resemblance to what I had sent them. Even the design was not as ordered and agreed. Worst of all it was made in the completely wrong tartan of very poor quality.
After much communications back and forward they agreed to make me a new kilt with the propper sizes I was offered number 1 waistecoat at a reduced price which we refused as It was so badly made I would never ware it in public. The company sent a picture sample of the heritage of Scotland Tartan. As per the first waistcoat the picture of the tartan and my kilt and Trews was a great match. Time was getting nearer to the wedding day so after some messages reminding them how close we were getting waistcoat number 2 arrived. It really was not a good fit for something supposed to be made to measure and again although it was a different Tartan from number one it still didnt bare a close resemblance to the Heritage of Scotland Tartan.
In the end even waiste coat 2 looked terible on so I decided to scrap the whole idea.I finished up £150 out of pocket with 2 usless waistcoats in the wardrobe and not suitabley made for me to ware at my Granddaughters wedding.
Needless to say I wont be recomending 8yardkilt to anyone, even my enemys
