CORRUPT COWBOYS!
CORRUPT COWBOYS!
Visiting the showroom late March 2026, I had a test drive and agreed to purchase a 2017 Nissan Micra (fixed price, I was told) on the proviso that it would be supplied with a spare wheel. I mentioned this at the time of the test drive and as I left the showroom.
I paid a deposit of £500. I did not receive any receipt or documentation.
After a couple of weeks where it was obvious that the sales guy, Mo, was only interested in finalising the sale (and had no intention sourcing a spare wheel), I had lost trust and decided not to go ahead with the purchase, asking for my deposit to be refunded. He got angry, saying that it was not usual to return this. (When I paid the deposit, there was absolutely no mention of the deposit being non-refundable. If it was, why would I have paid that level of deposit?) I was promised a call back the following morning.
Surprise, surprise, I received no call back (or since then). Subsequent E-mails have not been responded to.
This company has £500 of my money and I want it back.
If you have to deal with this company, proceed with the utmost caution. I would never trust them again.
Buyers Beware
Prospective buyers of 1 Stop Cars should carefully review negative feedback and proceed with extreme caution. My recent purchase of a Volvo XC060 (reg AD15 RJV) on 21/02/2026 illustrates a blatant disregard for basic consumer protection. I can see the vehicle is for sale on their website again listed as a ‘new arrival’ so I urge anyone wanting to buy the vehicle to check all the necessary work has been completed on it (I was quoted thousands to fix it).
Within a week, the vehicle displayed critical "No Oil Pressure" warnings and was diagnosed by an independent, VAT-registered mechanic with multiple significant oil leaks and an overdue cambelt (I was told this was replaced in 2022 and it clearly was not), contradicting 1 Stop Cars' pre-sale "114-point inspection" report by Michael Johnston. The car was demonstrably not of satisfactory quality and unsafe to drive the checks were either not carried out to a reasonable standard or were not conducted as represented.
My attempt to exercise my legal right to reject the vehicle under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 was met with deliberate obstruction from 1 Stop Cars employees (Dianna Zorila and 'Zedd' – he never put his last name on emails and lacks the ability to write coherent sentences). Their actions included:
• Demanding to see the diagnostic report from the mechanic in order to move forward with the rejection (I happily provided this, but this should have never prevented the rejection from moving forwards because the Consumer Rights Act, within 30 days, means I was entitled to reject the car without this anyway).
• Unlawfully demanding a "main dealer diagnostic" or their own diagnostic which are not required for rejection within the initial 30 days.
• Insisting I return the vehicle myself, despite its unsafe condition making this impossible and contrary to statutory obligations.
• Attempting to impose an illegal mileage charge for the car's use.
• Refusing to reimburse my £102 diagnostic fee, despite having requested the report, denying my right to consequential losses.
The process was further marred by poor communication, missed collection attempts, and the car ultimately breaking down during its return to the dealership. General Manager Adam Hanif, while acknowledging his staff's failure to adhere to proper rejection procedures and promising training, displayed a condescending attitude, unfairly criticizing my entirely justified "snide and sarcastic comments."
This unacceptable experience required persistent and firm assertion of my legal rights, escalating to a formal notice of action, before 1 Stop Cars would comply. Their staff demonstrated a clear lack of qualification in customer service and legal obligations. I strongly advise against purchasing from 1 Stop Cars to avoid similar distress and financial inconvenience.
Most of the positive reviews are completed from customers immediately after purchase before they have left the dealership. All of the sales team ask customers to scan a QR code during the buying process meaning they get a good review straight away, regardless of the outcome later on. Do not be fooled.
Highly satisfied with service provided- thank you
We recently purchased a vehicle from 1 Stop Car Sales and, despite some mixed reviews online, our experience has been very positive.
From the first enquiry through to collection, Aidas and the team were friendly, helpful and not pushy at all, which made a refreshing change. All of our questions were answered promptly, and they kept us updated throughout the process, which gave us confidence.
The car itself was exactly as described, with full main dealer service history that checked out, and it has driven perfectly since we brought it home. As an added bonus, they also put a fresh 12 months MOT on the vehicle, even though there was still around six months remaining, which we really appreciated.
We’ve now had the car for over a week and used it daily testing all of its capabilities with no issues at all — it’s been a smooth and enjoyable drive.
Based on our experience, we found Aidas and the team genuine, professional and easy to deal with. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and use them again based on our purchase.
Thank you again.
Avoid this car dealership
Poor poor poor real shame I found what seemed to be a decent shape Tiguan found it had a few marks on it that had been tried to be covered up think a child with a sharpie could have done a better job I mentioned this to sales man he originally said he would ask his manager so I followed him up and said ok ask your manager and he then refused and said he already knows the answer. Anyway after that we wanted to go ahead with the test drive that we had booked online but the only way we could test drive it was if we agreed that the car drove ok we would have to pay a £500 deposit there and then ! Non refundable! Shocking I understand you don’t want people wasting time but the fact I was being forced to pay a deposit after test drive was mental seems to be a real con shame they won’t do more to help with paint work either all salesmen kept saying was it’s a second hand car that is not the experience you should have when spending such big amounts of money on a car! Very very poor wouldn’t recommend to anyone. I left there feeling very disappointed and angry not the kind of feeling you should have when leaving a so called car dealership! Very shady place avoid at all costs
!!Be warned!
!!Be warned!! Dodgy garage, don’t be fooled by the pretty sales office.
Took my £99 reservation fee and have still not returned it 10 days later.
High pressure sales, huge admin charges, huge warranty offers. Walk away now!

Terrible company to deal with take your money quick but when you want it back no go I brought a car back in nov 25 3 days later had issues then 3 months of fighting to get money back which I was successful I lost the 499 admin fee which is daylight robbery so please there are 100% better garages out there
Don’t be be bullied by the sales team
Great selection of cars. Talks started well and polite but sales person was extremely pushy that started to become like bullying towards the end.
He was asking us that what’s stopping you buying now, after we had said we need to go away and discuss and following this up with I’ve done all this work for nothing.
Please be aware of this when going in.
1 Stop had a great selection of SUVs
1 Stop had a great selection of SUVs. We met Kris, one of the Sales Team and were very impressed with him. He showed us around several vehicles, provided useful information and we felt no pressure. Once we had made our decision the car was given a MOT and valet and was ready to be collected the following day. If I had read the reviews before hand I don't think that I would have visited 1 Stop but we had a very good experience and I am happy with the service provided.
Buyer beware!!
Buyer beware!!
I purchased a Range Rover from this dealership in September 2025
At the point of sale I paid for one years road tax. It turned out 2 months later that the car was not taxed
I also purchased a 2 year Autoguard warranty. I was told by the sales representative that if I sold the car I could transfer the balance of the warranty to a new vehicle.
I just called and spoke to Autoguard and they said this has never been possible.
I just called and spoke to the sales manager. He told me that it was a case of buyer beware and I was stupid for trusting their sales person. I asked if he was going to do something about it and he said no.
Please take heed before purchasing a car from this dealership.
Bought a car, broke on the way home
Bought a car, broke on the way home. Weren't great from the offset, as soon as we mentioned we were paying cash they didn't really want to know. Proceeded anyway, drove the car home, warnings popped up on the dash. Ignored almost all our calls, telling us yes someone will be back in touch, yet nothing would come back. In the end they did fix the issues after threatening legal action but took a few months to get sorted.
Miss sold warranty!
Extremely disappointed with my experience with this garage.
From the outset, I made it clear that I only wanted a 3-month warranty, as my husband is a qualified mechanic working mobile and from home and I have associations with the motor trade. The garage was aware of this from day one back in April meaning an extended warranty was clearly unsuitable.
Despite this, the sales process was very pushy, particularly around warranties and finance, and I was not given the option to pay cash even though I asked , A long-term warranty was sold and added to finance regardless even when I questioned the £4+k added on top of the original financing amount.
When we later attempted to make a claim, the warranty provider voided the policy specifically due to my association with the motor trade, confirming that the warranty should never have been sold in the first place. This left me paying for the repairs myself while the warranty remained on finance and continued accruing interest.
I’m not hundreds out of pocket I’m thousands!
Since then, I have submitted three formal complaints. There has been no meaningful communication, no written breakdown of figures, and no proper resolution. An insultingly low refund has been suggested, which appears to be an attempt to make the issue go away rather than address it properly.
As a result of the continued failure to engage, the matter is now with the Financial Ombudsman Service, and the FCA are actively investigating breaches of Principles 6 (Customers’ Interests) and 7 (Clear, Fair and Not Misleading Communications). Watchdog has also been informed and are very interested with the case.
I have all evidence of this.
I would strongly urge anyone considering purchasing a vehicle or add-on products from this garage to be extremely cautious, especially where warranties and finance are concerned, and to ensure everything is confirmed in writing before agreeing to anything. Take your hard earned money elsewhere to save you the stress and the financial burden they leave you with!
PLEASE READ - Avoid 1 Stop Car Sales at all costs
I sincerely hope anyone reading this review takes note of my experience and will heed my words to save themselves from dealing with the worst dealer I have ever experienced. Remember, there is a reason that their cars are cheap; they are going to sell you a car full of faults, offer you no sort of customer service, and try to swindle you with little hidden charges, false promises and lies of omission at every turn. Just avoid them, delete the AutoTrader advert, drive past the forecourt and save yourself the same stress I had to deal with.
I received appalling customer service at every single stage with this place; I had to chase to collect the car once I'd paid the deposit, I had to chase them endlessly to fix a fault with the car, I had to submit my legal right to reject the car for a full refund because it stopped working altogether, I had to argue and threaten legal action because they tried to back out of the agreed refund, and I had to chase them multiple times to collect the faulty car from my driveway even after getting my refund. At no point throughout this ordeal did I get an ounce of sincerity, care or even an apology from anyone at 1 Stop. Their sales and aftercare is frankly disgusting.
Just bought a Vauxhall grandland Danny…
Just bought a Vauxhall grandland Danny was very good a credit to the company thanks so much we are so happy with the car paul and kerrie merry Xmas everyone
Bought a used Audi Q5 beginning of November
Bought a used Audi Q5 beginning of November trading my Audi Q5 for the part exchange. The deal I was given both the asking price and the part exchange valuation were quite good as was the service I received from salesman Danyal. However the detailing on the car left a lot to be desired as I found out the next day as I came to wash the car. The bodywork was quite rough like sandpaper, I spent over 3 hours claying the paint work to bring it back, the windows inside were also very dirty and sticky as was the trim. Obviously valeting is not their strongpoint. Also I found out only yesterday that all the wheel nuts were over tightened to around 170nm this should be 140nm for this car resulting in
one of the locking wheel nuts being stripped meaning a trip to the local garage to have this removed at my cost.it seems to me that the wheel nuts were not correctly torqued and were probably put on with an air impact driver (so wrong). I have waited a month to write this review just to make sure i was happy. These thing should be right especially the issue with the wheel nuts. Based on this I would not buy from this company again even though the sales side was OK. I am a service engineer by trade and it is common practice to always use a torque wrench and follow manufacturer guidelines. The 1 star is for Danyal as for the backroom so called (Mechanics and Valeters) it is a big (ZERO STARS).

Be Careful And Vigilant With This Garage
Not going into too much detail about a recent car purchase. One major problem was that we were told that the car we were purchasing was “mint” with no scratches on and that it had full main dealer service history. When the car arrived (unseen, over internet purchase) there were multiple scratches and partial main dealer history. The car is 7 years old so we didn’t think for one moment that it would be mint. The fact that we had been lied to was the problem. We got in touch with the customer services dept (the ones who wriggle out and always back their own staff) who, having listened to the initial sales call agreed that we had been misinformed and on an email confirmation from them confirmed “you have been lied too”. As expected though, they wouldn’t do anything about it and told us that they would “re-train” their staff. You live and learn I guess and having now read the other reviews I would have purchased from a reputable dealer and not a poor small unprofessional outfit.
AVOID this garage at all costs BMW X5
AVOID this garage at all costs. Left a £500 deposit on a BMW x5 reg BR19AUA on Tuesday 23/9/25 was sent videos of car and was assured car was in excellent condition no faults on dash and for a used car superb example, and car would be taken to be valeted for my arrival I informed jay the salesman that I would collect on the Saturday the 27th, however I did call on Wednesday saying I’ll take the day off work and collect on Friday instead was again told no problem we shall collect you from station and look forward to seeing you. I booked my train tickets down for the Friday with my wife as looking forward to picking car up then we were going to drive to London and spend the weekend, I got a call from jay saying car isn’t ready…. And awaiting a part as it’s got a electrical fault, and wouldn’t be ready until next week, I explained what my plans were with train to spalding then drive onto London, so it cost me additional costs from spalding to London, then from London back to Edinburgh, overall £740 in train tickets, i asked for the cost of 1 persons tickets to be refunded I asked them if I could speak to the owner or manager they were busy, and didn’t have the courtesy to take a call, I asked for the train fare to be taken off the price of the car or at least extend my warranty on the car, I was told if you take out an additional 3 year warranty we can give you an discount lol, was Also told by jay that I wouldn’t get my deposit back if I left a negative review, he was rude and arrogant and hung the phone up, very unprofessional and do hope the calls are recorded, I have since been refunded I called the garage back up and told by another sales person the car is fine and the rear seat wasn’t locked into place, to be told 2 different completely things electrical and seat not clicked in lol, Iam lucky that I got refunded my deposit, and enjoyed my weekend in London. Think I’ve dodged a bullet with this car, be wary of buying that bmw x5 in case it does have electrical issues, and jay my friend there’s a reason why your an employee and not the boss, with customer service like that, I have my own business also and always strive to give customer satisfaction. Overall I’d rate this garage a minus, on the plus side Beth was very understanding and professional.
