Untrustworthy Cleaners and TERRIBLE customer service

I booked a move-out cleaning in Huntington Beach, CA, and Amenify assigned someone named “name removed”. She showed up last minute with no communication about when she would arrive. I only requested a deep clean of the kitchen and bathroom and left a large cash tip because I wouldn’t be around during the cleaning due to moving.

“Name removed” told me she had a birthday party in “location removed” that night. I wished her happy birthday to her friend and left her to clean. One hour later, she said she was done. When I decided to double-check the cleaning before losing access to my apartment, I discovered that she had done nothing. The apartment was exactly how I left it, except for a wet sponge in the sink.

I contacted her, and she didn’t respond until the next morning, claiming she would come back, but I no longer had access to the apartment. I filed a complaint with Amenify, and they initially refused a refund because the cleaner showed up. I had to re-explain everything multiple times, provide photos, and call them at least five times. After endless back-and-forth, they finally refunded me.

However, I still lost the large cash tip I gave “name removed”, and I was charged my apartment building’s obscene cleaning fee because of her negligence.

DO NOT USE AMENIFY. Their cleaners are untrustworthy, and their customer service is a nightmare. The bad reviews exist for a reason.
